Great selection of paintings, with a focus on brushstrokes and tools and on the choices that artists make. At several points, two pieces are juxtaposed to show similarities and differences.

An interesting selection of artworks around a bit looser theme than some of the other books in this series. It had several Impressionists, which I particularly liked.

12 fine art paintings with guiding questions and activities to experience the art. Information and on each artist and painting is included, but it is more appropriate for adults. The artwork is beautiful and varied, the activities and questions are will help students learn to appreciate and evaluate art and will be better prepared to apply this to other art that they may see. I just wish the information on the artists was presented in more kid-friendly language and included more unusual details that children would remember.
