As an immortal demon hunter, fighting and killing is all Kryos has ever known. Trained by angels to control Hells escapees, he was promised a reward for his sacrifice—something with the power to calm his inner demon and make him feel whole after an eternity of emptiness. He never dreamed his prize would be her.
Waitress Meredith Malone has never fitted in, she's lived her life feeling so deeply alone that she’s given up on dreaming, of wanting. Instead, she does what’s expected of her, hoping that one day she’ll be just like everyone else—even if that means marrying someone she doesn’t love. Until a man who looks like an angel, but has bad boy written all over him walks into her world and offers to change it forever…

Sherilee Gray is a kiwi girl and lives in beautiful New Zealand with her husband and their two children. When she isn't writing sexy contemporary and paranormal romance, searching for her next alpha hero on Pinterest, or fueling her voracious book addiction, she can be found dreaming of far off places with a mug of tea in one hand and a bar of chocolate in the other.
Knight’s Seduction is book #0.5 in the Knights of Hell series by Sherilee Gray. This prequel was given away by the author as a thank you to her readers for their support. I have already loved this series and was thrilled to get this and see how it all started. The very first Knight to feel the mate bond.
Kryos is a Knight, half demon, half angel, one of several beings created solely to kill demons that walk among the humans. Their purpose also includes rescuing humans that are unknowingly also half demon. Once they start to come into their power, the Knights rescue them and teach them how to protect themselves before the demons can find them.
Meredith Malone is a waitress. In the diner where she works, a huge man that she should be afraid of but instead feels drawn to, comes in every night but rarely speaks to her. Meredith has always felt like she didn’t belong, that she was somehow different than everyone else. Her own parents never even accepted her.
When the Knights were created, they were promised that one day they would receive a reward, something that would calm their inner demon. Kryos has no idea why he can’t stay away from the pretty waitress at the diner. Only that he feels drawn there, drawn to her. The pull gets stronger every time he sees her.
This is a short, perfect introduction to this series. I loved seeing how the first Knight fell. Because when these Knights fall, they fall so hard! This is such an amazing series and I hope if you are reading this, it will encourage you to check it out.
2.5 Stars In my experience, authors typically use the prequel to set up their worldbuilding/universe rules before jumping into a series… that wasn’t really the case here. Knight’s Seduction is the prequel for Sherilee Fray’s Knights of Hell series, and it pretty much just focuses on Kyros and his mate Meredith.
I loved it. I loved seeing how Kryos and Meredith met and fell for each other. It was swoons, steamy and awesome. I cannot wait for the next full-length Knight’s of Hell story.
KNIGHT’S SEDUCTION is the prequel novella in Sherilee Gray’s adult KNIGHTS OF HELL paranormal/fantasy series focusing on a group of demon hunters known as the Knights of Hell, warriors whose birth was ordained by the mating of angels and demons. These ‘Knights’ hunt the demons who make life a living h*ll on earth for everyone involved. This is demon hunter Kryos, and demi-demon Meredith Malone’s story line. KNIGHT’S SEDUCTION can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary.
Told from dual third person perspectives (Kryos and Meredith) KNIGHT’S SEDUCTION takes place approximately fifty-one years earlier, and focuses on the first of the Knights of Hell to meet his fated mate. The Knights of Hell all ‘feel and sense’ when a Demi-demon is coming into his or her powers but for some reason Kryos is the only Knight able to feel the approach of Meredith’s powers. Drawn to the waitress like a moth to a flame Kryos would soon discover that Meredith is his fated mate, and therefore he is the only Knight able to sense the change but not the only demon to sense our heroine. With the change comes the demons from h*ll, who are desperate to control Meredith’s burgeoning powers. What ensues is the back and forth, building relationship between Kryos and Meredith, and the potential fall-out as Meredith must come to terms with who she is, and the life she is about to leave behind.
KNIGHT’S SEDUCTION is a story of family and relationships; of fated mates and eternal love. The premise is revealing and captivating; the romance is seductive and intense; the characters are energetic, colorful and charismatic.
This took me way to long to read and it's not due to it being not good, it's due to my daughter preventing me from reading haha.
On my journey to read more romance after my best friend got me completely hooked on Immortals After Dark by Kresley Cole, I went out and browsed endless pages of romance books on Amazon, and after awhile I found that I am EXTREMELY picky with what I am looking for. But then Knight's Seduction caught my eye, (not only because of the free price tag, although that's a great perk), but I know I have a weakness for men with wings, and well, the men in this series are half Angel half Demon and that means they have wings, so naturally I was like "okay lets give this one a shot!"
Now I will say I only have experience with the one romance series that I already mentioned, so maybe my expectations where too high or I am spoiled, I don't know, but overall Knights Seduction was just an okay novella for me. There where plenty of moments that kept me laughing, I loved the scene with Meredith when she thinks she has "corrupted" Kyros, her reaction and slight meltdown was hilarious and so adorable. Kyros having no clue what is going on with him and Silas thinking its absolutely hilarious, plenty of fun moments.
The story really focuses on the couple and nothing else really, and this is where I think I am spoiled because I wanted there to be a subplot that was going on too, which I guess we could say that Meredith's story with David is the sublplot but I wanted something that would have connected this story to the other books to give me an idea of what exactly Kyros and the others do in the rest of the series. It does a decent job giving me the quick details of how the world works, but overall I don't think I really understand the importance of why Kyros and his brothers have to save these demi-demons. It's very possible I shouldn't have read this novella first in this series.
As for Kyros and Meredith, I think they are a cute couple, I will say I don't understand why Meredith called Kyros out on calling her FEMALE all the time if this wasn't going to change the word usage at all afterwards, it felt pointless and like one of those "ohh girlboss moment yah!!". The amount of the words 'female' and 'male' that was used in connection to each of them was so annoying and overkill, and it really pulled me out of the story so many times. I did appreciate how sweet and gentle Kyros was written in dealing with Meredith but I do wish we had gotten to see more of the aggressive protective side that I guess I was expecting, I felt really let down with the one super small scale fight scene, I hope it was just due to being a novella, he spent a lot of time talking about training and being this amazing fighter and having being doing it for a long time so what we got was just way to short to really please me. I also wasn't a big fan of all the training for Meredith being skipped over but again I'm hoping this is due to the length being an issue.
Even with these slight problems I am still going to be picking up the first book. I would like to see what Gray can do with a full novel. Also I have to say Rocco caught my eye and I am very kindly displeased that his is the very last book haha.
A side note too, I did read the epilogue and while Gray says it doesn't contain any spoilers even though the epilogue comes after the 5th book, certain events in that epilogue really did feel like a spoiler and it unfortunately irritated me and I wish it hadn't been there. But I guess I now have a reason to hopefully make it to Rocco's book.
I liked it, but not enough to drive me right into starting the series. At least right now. The world seemed interesting and I am curious about the other brothers. The mental/emotional struggle that Meredith had to go through felt rushed, but it is a novella, so I guess that's a bit expected. I think my issue with this is that it COULD have been a full book, but instead it tried to stick a LOT of world-building and explanation and set up in a limited number of pages and it all just ended up feeling a bit rushed.
Kryos had been alive before time was quantified and categorized. He was an immortal, and he was born half angel and half demon to fight evil. He was told he would be rewarded for an eternity of fighting the demons who escaped hell. Their reward came in the form of a human female, their fated mate for life. The human female that agreed to be by their man received the gift of immortality so they could live by their man. Kryos did not know precisely why he was drawn to this diner, but he could guess. Maybe demons used the place to meet or lived nearby, but that wasn’t it. But there was something that drew him here, or perhaps a who. There was a dirty blond waitress with all the right curves that he could not get out of his mind. As old as he is, because of her, he felt the need to masturbate to her image in his mind. Hell, the demon within him agreed with him that she should be conquered, which kind of freaked him out. She must be the half-human, half-demon spawn of a sex demon, and soon, she would come into her powers. That is why he and his non-biological brothers were here. To train these offspring to hide their powers so demons wouldn’t enslave them for their unique abilities. But damn, one of her parents must have been a powerful sex demon because every time she got near, or he saw her, or thought of her, he became rock hard.
Oh, a new universe with new rules, and it’s a series starter, a prequel novella. However, I should give a warning: this tale is not advertised as erotica, and depending upon what your definition of erotica is, it is, or it’s close. The physical world-building is fuzzy in places, but it is there. The ethereal world-building is personalized, for the most part, but there are also general settings where it is prevalent. Depending upon your view, the character interaction can be considered a little soapy in places, but hey, this is a fated mate’s story.
This prequel novella read has all the romance you could ask for with shifters and paranormals getting together. I give this read four stars out of five stars.
I loved kryos and Meredith romance so much but I wasn’t a fan of Meredith’s parents or David at all. Kryos has been going to the diner where Meredith’s works for a while and he doesn’t know why and Meredith hasn’t felt like she fit in anywhere all her life until kryos shows up and love the spicy scenes between kryos and Meredith and Meredith is part human and part demon and kryos takes her from the human world to train her with her powers and love that Meredith is kryos mate and would do anything for her and would protect her and kryos has six brothers that Meredith meet. And love the ending with all of kryos brothers finding there mates and Meredith becoming family and love that they have traditions for there anniversary and love that kryos buys the diner that Meredith worked at where they first met and I just love there relationship so much and just love this was a quick spicy demon romance and love that kryos calls Meredith baby and sweets in the book

This is my first book by this author. But it won't be my last! I LOVE her writing style! This book tells the story of Kyros & Meredith. He's a Knight of Hell, half demon & half angel. She's half demon & half human that's been raised as human. Her kind ascends into their "power" by a certain age. TKOH's job is to get to these demi's (French word for half), before the full fledged demons that escape through Hell's portal & uses their abilities for their own ends. TKOH train the demi's to shield their abilities & train them to protect themselves from other demons. She is his reward for a lifetime of being in service to Heaven. She knows nothing of this or their world. It's his responsibility to convince her of this & be his mate. I loved this story's premise. I can't wait to read the other KOH brother's story. Que ”Highway to Hell" by AC/DC.
A new series is always a risk and I'm not sure how I came upon this one (either GoodReads or Amazon is likely). But I do love a series that's actively continuing and of course I have a thing for stories involving anything chthonic, paranormal (angels, demons, vampires, weres/shifters, gods, etc.) I also love a MMC in need of "redemption" (sue me). I really enjoyed the concepts here, the demi-demons (half breeds are always an interesting mix) and how that played into character relations. I had a hard time with his name, Kryos, because I kept wanting to say Kyros (a character from another series I love) in my head. I'm also sucker for a free book. I can't wait to see where the rest of these go!
This is the second book in this series that I have read and it is just as good as the first. It's a fairly new genre to me but great story - love the angel side of things - and feisty characters. Again this book held my attention throughout the story and so I had to read it in one sitting. (Housework had to go to hell today). This is how another of the Knight's find their mate and I really liked Meredith's tale. Great book to read when you have a few hours free. You wont be able to put it down so don't get busy with other things. I'm sad now that I have finished this book and would love these characters in my life again. feeling slightly lonely now they've gone.
This is a prequel novella to the Knights of Hell series. I loved the introduction to the series and the knights, and the swoony story of Kryos and Meredith. Kryos is half angel and half demon. He’s been a knight protecting and training demi-demons with his brothers for a very long time. Meredith is a waitress who feels disconnected from the rest of humanity. Kryos has been drawn to Meredith for months but does not realize at first that she’s his mate. Despite the story being short, it included witty dialogue, three dimensional characters, and an engaging storyline.
I’ve read all the Knights books by Sherilee that are currently available but I held off on reading this story until it was published on Amazon and also because I love this series and don’t want to see it come to an end🤩
Suffice to say Kyros and Meredith are the first couple of the Knights to mate but the one story we never knew….until now😍 Loved it and I’m hoping and praying for more Knights as I absolutely love all these characters😁
A nice short story to start the series, introducing characters and the universe!
I definitely like all the concept of the universe, fighting demons to keep the world safe, I look forward to learning more about all the dynamics further into the series. I also like that I know all the future MCs even though we only met them momentarily.
This seems like it’ll be a fun and exciting set of books to read!
I really enjoyed the Knights of Hell series, so I was happy to sign up to the email list to get a free copy of this prequel.
It was great to read about Kryos and Meredith getting together. We've seen them as a strong solid couple throughout the series, so it was nice to get some more detail. This is short, but it doesn't feel rushed. The book was thoroughly enjoyable.
I wanted to give this book only 4 stars bc it was too short, butt I couldn't the story was just too good. Read this book in one sitting. U must read the others b4 this one it has some spoilers. Def read it. Great just wish it was longer bc I love this family sherilee makes u fell like ur a part of it. Wow just wow
I've read the first book last year, was happy that the prequel was available to read as well. Can't wait to read the rest of the series. I do like my romance books and this one did not disappoint one little bit. I did like that this novella did offer a meeting between Kyros and Meredith, as briefly mentioned in the first book.
What a wonderful prequel to the series! I read the first book in the series today and was curious about Kryos and Meredith’s story so was happy when I saw they had their own novella! I liked this one better that the first book simply because Kryos doesn’t fight the mating, he is all in! Good storyline for such a short book. Thoroughly enjoyed it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Her demi-demon skill is amplification. She can enhance the strength of others skills.
She's a waitress at a diner and he's drawn to her before her powers are developed. She's in a relationship encouraged by her parents but the guy gives her the creeps.

HOT!!! Great prequel to the Knights of Hell series. I just loves the Knights. So hot!! Half angel and half demon. Chyros is being pulled toward Meredith, a waitress. He can't stay away from her. Their chemistry together is great. He's the 1st of his knight brothers to find his mate. The only issue I have with these books is they're NOT a part of KU. 😕 😞
I'm in my Sherilee Gray era. This is the prequel to her Knights of Hell series, which is also the prequel to the Thornheart series which I loved.
Didn't feel like usual SG book, it's a novella and little taste of the world. It was enjoyable for what it was. Explained who Kryos and his brothers are and what they do. Light drama free book about how Kryos & Meredith met & mated.
This book is #FREE and it’s #Fantastic so don’t miss it. Kryos and Meredith’s love story has been on the minds of fans of this series and here are the answers. But I must admit I fell a tiny bit in love with Kryos because he’s just such a big teddy bear inside.
I read these out of order. Now I have to go back and them in order cause ya know sexy knights how can I resist rereading them all in order. I’m loving this series and the world she created. I can’t wait to read about all the knights.
It was nice to see where it all began with the Knights. Even though it was only 10 chapters (including the epilogue), it was still detailed and nicely done. After reading the epilogue too, I even just want to keep reading through the series. Amazing find too.
Surprisingly good. I know this was sort of an introduction into the knights of hell universe but I love Kryos. He was so sweet. 4 Stars because I just couldn't get over him calling her sweets... I cringed every time that came up. Going to dig into the next book immediately.
Loved this book so much It was nice to revisit the knights. Loved the series so much. It was great to see how Meredith and Keryos meet and fell in love and all the knights learned they had mates. The end was a bit sad but OK. So worth the read
Hmmm, I liked the premise and world building, however I felt like something was missing... I will read the next book in the series and see how it develops as I know some prequels don't always live up to the rest of the series.
