Insightful, especially once you get past the pretty basic info on what each creator does, but being 15 years old does limit its usefulness quite a bit. It was obviously written in the good-old days, when a new publisher Could still sell thousands of copies, and who knows if any of the cost and print numbers would hold up today. There's still a good deal of handy info, particularly in the areas of working with a printer and figuring out finances. If you're seriously considering a start in publishing it would make a good complement to other books, but won't help much if you read it on its own.
