It's like going to the museum itself without the price of a plane ticket. I read the Diary of a Young Girl when I was 13 and a few other times since, and this puts it all into perspective. A great find at my local library book sale.

I read this in conjunction with Anne Frank's diary to add to the historical background of what was happening in the Netherlands during Anne's time and to especially add to her own powerful story. It is quite informative, and contains plenty of pictures of the house itself along with Anne and her family, architectural diagrams of the museum, and lots of historical pieces. I believe this to be a guidebook they sell at the actual museum to tourists, and while a short read at under 100 pages, it is a fascinating and enjoyable look at Anne's life and the history of Anne Frank museum.

It was neat to see the Anne Frank house filled with furniture and things in the photographs, since parts of the museum were empty because of Otto Frank's wishes. It was a moving museum, and this was a great book about Anne, her family, and how the museum came about.

Very well written book giving a lot of background information about the house and the months spent there by Anne Frank and all the others. Includes bits and pieces about the others that Anne did not have access to, and in that way rounded out her story.

I had purchased this book at the Anne Frank Museum and finally got around to reading it. The book describes the house before, during and after the Frank family used it for hiding from the German Nazis as the army invaded the Netherlands and rounded up the Jews.
