Seeing beneath the surface to capture the raw beauty of the world has always intrigued me. Whether through film, poetry, imagination, or writing, I love experiencing and expressing my vision. My travels and love for the many different cultures I've encountered have only further instilled these creative outlooks and are the main reason why you are sure to be taken on an adventurous journey through my stories. Although every character is unique, it brings me pleasure to explore how different people throughout the world react to different adventures, and if they fall in love and into the sheets continuously on their journey, then I guess those romances were simply meant to be.
Ivory's mother was a uptight snob and was raising her to be the same. In walks Jackson and his family who showed her a different way of life. Loved it even with her whining.
Oh trust and believe we all can say we had a few wrong/bad dates. Chef and Ivory definitely opposites. Then there is that old saying opposites attract. Well here you have it.
Yes but the third date turned out to be the charm!
Chef and Ivory had a somewhat combative relationship from the day he ruined the first date to the point she realized he had captured her heart! Ivory was busy trying to please her socialite mother by becoming her mother's version of herself. Until Chef aka Jackson Keating offered up a better alternative. One that allowed Ivory to do what she enjoyed - her blog and be herself in an adventurous relationship with him to boot! Ivory out of her real intelligent brain gave Chef a way to share his remarkable recipes without being stuck in a kitchen all day. He in turn showed her how they could both benefit by him traveling and sharing his recipes while she traveled with him and blogged about them. Sweet, simple and lovingly intelligent turned out to be just the ticket for this used to be socialite in training! I enjoyed Chef and Ivory's story that seems like its leading to love!!!! Another award winning addition to the New Year Bae Solutions Series!!! Great job MS. Green, great job.
I love a good enemies to lovers book. Ivory and Jackson had mutual friends, but wasn't fans of each other, so I thought. Ivory wasn't invited to the NYE party of the year, so decided to spend time with her friends. Riding to the cabin wi th her frenemie Jackson, they were detoured due to the weather. Ivory wasn't expecting to get to know Jackson the way she did. Finally getting to their final destination, Jackson and Ivory finally tell each other how they feel. Ivory got on my nerves in the beginning but after that conversation with her mother I understood why she was the way she was. Jackson was more than what he seemed. The chemistry between Ivory and Jackson was strong, even though they always argued. When they finally decided to give them a try i was so happy. This was my first read by this author and I really loved this book and will be reading more from her.
Synopsis: Ivory was a privileged socialite who was expected to date a certain type of man while Jackson (Chef) was a man who lived by his own rules. Their assumptions about each other lead them to not getting along until they finally got to know a little more about each other.
Ivory and Chef's banter way so cute. The very first paragraph drew me in, I was thinking wait, what is happening right now. As the story continued I was not at all disappointed. There was comedy and I was able to connect with the characters. I didn’t like Ivory at first but just like Chef I warmed up to her and found myself feeling sorry for her. I enjoyed this quick and funny New Year read and will definitely be checking out Kelsey Green's catalog.
This book was the most amazing love song with the back and forth between Ivory and Jackson (Chef) it reminded me of the song Tennessee Whiskey by Chris Stapleton. The story of what you thought Mr. Right was suppose to be didn't exactly get Mr. Right you got Mr. Soul mate instead. Its the judging a book by it covers instead of reading the pages to go deeper. The way your happily ever is right under your nose but your nose is high in the socialite elitist clouds to see it. I love how the socialite was knocked down a notch to reality that's always a plus. An absolutely real love story that unfolds so beautifully and you will get he butterfly feels with this one.
I know it's totally my fault that I decided to read this book, without reading the previous ones, but it sounded interesting, so I just decided to go with it and give it a chance.
It's not a bad book, but not great either. Of course being too short doesn't leave enough space to create great characterisation and make us love the characters, but still ... It could have been better.
*SPOILER ALERT*
Although Ivory and Chef did have an okay chemistry, I wasn't head over heels about their characters, especially hers, and that kind of put me off the whole story in general.
My first read by Queen Kelsey and it was a good one. Chef and Ivory were definitely from different worlds, who were pretty much thrown together through mutual friends. She was feeling him but because of her "social statues" and her offer barring mother couldn't actually admit it it pursue it. Chef on the other hand loved loved on his own terms and embodied everything in a man her mom told her to stay away from. This insta-love follows these two through their journey to discovering their everything the other needs and so much more.
Ivory and Chef's story was like watching a fun romantic comedy movie! It had so many funny moments and Ivory and Chef's bickering was hilarious. But they also had some potent chemistry simmering just below the surface. They were hot together!!! They were such an opposites attract couple, but it really worked. I loved the ending! Such a cool blending of their work and passions. Great Story! 5 ⭐️ Stars!
This unexpected love match story was everything. It have the I hate u so much I really like u element mixed with a dash of comedy. I was entertained from beginning to end. Green did such a good job on this one that I feel I need to go back and read the story I missed in this series. Hopefully we’ll see more of the Keating family or the town of Sweet Hill, VT in the future. 🤞🏾
Ivory had always set such high standards when it came to dating. The guy had to be on her social level so she could uphold a certain image and keep her followers interested. One snowy night in the country with Chef who she originally had no feelings for could change everything. She got to see him for the person he really was and realized there was more to love than someone upscale and classy.
Throw together a privileged socialite and a “home-bred” chef and you have the recipe for a disaster waiting to happen!! However, things change, situations change...can you say “goat dung” and attitudes change!! This is great short story and I highly recommend it! Kudos, Kelsey! 💜
Is there ever a wrong date.....don't answer that. In this case it turns out they were all lead to a good ending. This was a first for me by this author, must look for more by her she kept me wanting more. The storyline was good with bougie meet country, a case of opposites attraction that turned out good. On to the next book in this series.
This was a story about a woman named Ivory trying to find Mr Right. After three wrong dates she stumbles across her Mr Right after bickering with him for months. Jackson was the complete opposite of what she was brought up looking for in a mate because she was an elites and socialite. She found love without intending or directly looking.
I thought the storyline was great. However, it was boring and slow. I’m glad they were able to get together in the end. But the book didn’t keep my interest. It was too long to get to the point.
Loved this book! Ivory and Chef (Jackson) had great chemistry even though they tried to deny them. I love a good "frenemies"" story and this one will definitely keep you up all night! I couldn't put it down! 🙂🙂
I enjoyed the story and felt it was well developed. The plot was good and I loved the characters. I only gave three stars because it seemed to be rushed to publication; with a number of errors that should have never made it past editing.
What a surprising cute story of two people who disliked each other with so many disagreements ended up being really attracted to each. The adventures of Ivory and Chef Jackson and their annoying friends was just adorable.
I’m not sure how I found this author but definitely glad I did. This was a perfect Sunday afternoon read. The storyline was believable and character chemistry sizzling hot with just enough humor.
I loved this story. It made me laugh and a little emotional. Ivory and Chef can't stand one another, but they see each other for who they really are which is a recipe for love.
Love it when total opposites get thrown together, this book was a good example of that type of romance. Definitely had some 😲 and 😂 moments mixed in with some feel good through to their happy ending.
I always wondered if Ivory would get her story. Pairing Ivory and Chef together was totally unexpected. Chef was the perfect person for Ivory he saw past her all her press and fluff and forced her to take a more serious look at herself also. A love story with meaning ❤.
This story was cute. It shows how opposition can be revealing of things you never imagined you desired. Sometimes getting out of your comfort zone , is life - altering and sweet.
Ivory was one snooty socialite who wanted to be seen with only the elite. Chef Jackson was all about the simple things in life. However a chance trip to Vermont changed all of that. Great read..
This book is romance with a twist of humor. Enemies to lovers and boy did these two dislike each other. But oh the chemistry was constantly building with each day they were together. Big city girl meets small town boy.
This was a first read for me by this author... While the title suggests more drama than depicted in the story, it was a different twist to an old adage of sweet innocent socialite meets average Joe...needed mire depth
