L. Ann started with the Baxters and followed that with multiple series and genres. While her books feature paranormal, FBI, ex-military and Badass Bikers, L. Ann is writing about the strong women that these men need in their life to help right the world's wrongs and keep their small part of the world safe. The women are extraordinary, strong and determined to make a difference. The men fight for right in every book. Yes, they kill people. Yes, the MC shoots at the bad guys’ feet to cause them pain. Yes, some throw tampons at each other regularly. That being said, they do these things while stopping human trafficking and experimentation, bringing their world into legitimate businesses, fighting gangs to keep drugs away from their town and kids, keep women sheltered safely while trying to stop domestic abuse. These are men that don’t leave a pack, Team member or Brother behind. They don’t treat women as possessions and they don’t cheat. Respect takes on an honorable meaning. Women and kids are cherished. Everyone is looked out for and everyone is equal. L. Ann has made amazing worlds, tackled the taboo subjects and made it easy to imagine living in a world where your protection comes from the vampires, shifters, freaky kids, albinos and orientals, military turned FBI and some Badass Bikers. With readers writing about rereading the series over and over, she feels like she’s told her characters’ stories in a way that would make them proud. Every book will make you laugh, every book will make you angry for the wrong that happens in the world. Every book will make you cry for the pain that a character feels. Every book gives you hope that we may just get it right yet
I was so excited to are Web have a book, he was always alone until his Alpa-Bits, now he will never he alone! I absolutely love the inclusion in all the books but this one had so much more!!! The thinking of Different Is Just Different Will always be the best part of this entire Book series from the MC until now!!! Thank you L.Ann Marie
This is my third re-read this year and the second time I read this book. L. Ann never disappoints. Spending more time with the Alpha-Bits was awesome. You can't help smiling or laughing. While there are definitely serious and difficult issues in this book there are plenty of things to make you happy. As always these books make me want to be a better person and wish for a way to make our world better also. Read these books and help share our strong!
Webb has taken care of the alpha-bits from the very beginning. I am so glad he has found his happy. Alexia is the perfect match for him. She is bada$$ and fits in perfectly with all of the other ol' ladies. She was so excited to be biker married. Looking forward to more from L. Ann Marie!
Loved Web and Alexia Web gave up his company, identity and money when the A's came into his life. He put is trust in Crow and has never looked back. The Bits are his kids. His Bits are growing up, spreading their wings and don't need him like they use to, things are a little lonely. His family has gotten larger not that he has his twin Michael back and he has found older brothers Ford and Garren. Then there are all the new Bits that they have rescued. Now Alexia has entered his life. He befriended her through the OPs they have worked. Now she is under BSC-West protection. She is his. Alexia has lived her whole life sheltered. She is a brilliant when it comes to computers. Autism make things out side of work hard. Her time at EROP she made friends and gained more independence. Telia and Garren have become close friends to her, they are alike but different. When EROP was in danger Alexia went to Prince's for help and for her protection she is now at BSC West, working for Alder and Web. She likes Web and wants more then friendship. Web wastes no time in making Alexia his when she makes her feelings known. He uses the lists and what he knows about her from those who know her best to make Alexia feel safe and comfortable. His brothers and the bits are there for them both. Alexia surprises some with the level of self defense training she has from the FBI and her knowledge of international. Alexia makes finding all the missing bits her priority. She helps bring more home. There is a threat to Alexia that ties to the Bits and Director Price. She is determined to see justice is done. Love this series. Web and Alexia didn't disappoint. Loved seeing favorites from the FBI, MC and Princes. Great Epilogue to their story. Can't wait for the next book and what the next challenges the BSC will face next.
First let me say L Ann Marie keeps getting better! I actually had to read the last 2 books twice before I could review them 😉 SPOILERS SPOILERS !!!!!! "Ford's Rise" starts with Web missing the craziness that had his Alpha-bits living with him as they grow and move out. When he connects with Alexia in person and not just online and Cort tell's him "Don't take too long" Web realizes Alexia is his " All In" person. Alexia was starting over where everything was scary and new except Web and the Alpha-bits. Until Cort and the women of bada$$ teach her all about Brotherhood and Garren and Michael with their " sister rings" help teach her about family. Of course all of this is while the Director of the FBI holds suprises , multiple attacks hit the compounds and Alder doing OPS!!!! 😲OMG!! LOVE ALDER!! Loved when Web and Alder helped Justice and Ben with Phoenix and Aquya, it hurt my ❤ when they were screwing up😞 Webs "Speech"at the end had me in actual tears!! I can't wait for the next!!! Even if I have to take notes before I write my reviews😂😂
What an awesome book!! This was a roller coaster but I did not want to get off!! Lexi was awesome and a total badass on her own! She is a rockstar! She proves that you can have thing think hold you back but pushed her to prove them wrong on so many levels. The Alpha Bits are just so freaking adorable I just want to take them all home too!! Web is the brother you want, the husband and protector of all...I love their story and I love Badass!! This author has created an amazing world, it would be amazing if we could live in it where people did treat other with love and kindness and equally no matter if they are “different”. I love that and pray for a better tomorrow and world! Thank you dear author for taking us away into a better place for a little while 💕 well done!
For those of us who have been on the long journey through the BSC books, you will probably feel like I do about Web. He’s a wonderfully empathetic character. He’s kind, sweet and enormously intelligent. He’s also sacrificed everything willingly for his young charges, the Alpha-Bits. I love that he finally gets his ‘One’ in this book.
Web is not exactly a straight forward understandable guy. He’s highly intelligent but grew up in a orphanage and therefore didn’t really learn how to make family connections because he was outside of the normal parameters of the other inhabitants of his group home. He has always stated that when he took on the care of the Alpha-Bits he learnt about family from them and he has always put them before his own happiness, though much of his happiness has been derived from their happiness. It’s no surprise that his ‘One’ is slightly atypical.
We first met Alexia in her role at EROPs, with the FBI. She is neurodiverse and diagnosed as having Asperger’s Syndrome, or high functioning Autism (which are basically the same thing). She has lived a life of isolation and hasn’t really had any support from her family, in fact she didn’t believe she had any. Becoming involved with BSC was the first time she felt really part of a family, though she had friends that she worked with in the past. It’s only once she joins BSC that she starts to form true connections.
As is often the case with these books, Alexia and Web getting together is pretty straight forward. The romance part of these books often takes a back seat to personal growth. The relationship is part of that growth and this is why it’s important. Learning to be part of a community and family is just as important as forming a romantic bond.
In this book we see Web really grasp hold of his family of blood and choice and accept that his role is important to many people. We also see more of the Alpha-Bits come into their own, especially Alder who really steps up into his role as Little Pres.
I enjoyed the slower pace of this book, as it was much less high octane than usual, but I did find it difficult to process some of the speech patterns that the author often uses for the Alpha-Bits and also, in this case, for Alexia. The choppy way of speaking with incorrect grammar is definitely a stylistic choice, but it is sometimes hard to process, especially when the majority is written in this way. However, I do love the Alpha-Bits so waded through it and still found pleasure in the book. I just wish that the author could accept that highly intelligent Alpha-Bits would learn how to speak more fluidly several years into being found and become more active socially.
I love how L. Ann Marie never shies away from non-conventional stories. Web & Alexia’s story may not have been overly freaky or action packed but it had no less feels. I laughed, freaked out on occasion & worried about the Bits like they were real. L. Ann Marie has done it again & I can’t wait for who will be next.
This is a very gifted writer. I've read and reread all her books. Her mind is something very special. This book was a little bit different. So very powerful, full of tough emotions and lots of good life lessons. As always, I couldn't put it down and don't want it to end. I'm very patiently waiting for the next book. Thank you for the awesome world you have created and I can't wait to see what happens next.
I enjoyed Web and Alexia's story, it was refreshing for it not to follow a similar plot from past books. I still have issues visualising the alpha-bits as little angelic characters, in my head they are similar to minions . I am looking forward to seeing where we go next on this journey .
I love these books, just re-read them, for the third time, which I do when it's been a while for new release. This book came full circle for the Alpa Bits and Web. It was well worth the read. That being said, I wish for a full on biker book. Maybe with Stella and her men? I miss the bikers, the club and the rides, aka the Grands! I'll be waiting.
I have been wanting a happy future for Web for years! Loved this book, and the glimpse of so many old friends. I am one of the readers who has reread all these books in order many times, because I love the writer's style, attention to detail and relationships, and the acceptance, no celebration, of difference. Can't wait for the next one!
I was so freaking excited to read Web's story. We've read about Web in the other books and seen all that he's done for the alpha bits. I loved seeing everyone through Web's eyes. Can't wait for the story.
This was a complex story and I will have to read it again. I love the Alpha Bits they are engaging and brave just like all the other series. I have loved all of them. Great job L. Ann Marie.
So pleased that Web found his One Who is just perfect for him. Love L Ann's books . To see the alpha bits get passport & citzenship so good. Cant put the books down. Highly recommend these all be tead in order.
Finally a book about web and his one! I was so pleased he found her, I love the relationship. It was as usual written to perfection and leaves you wanting more. Thank you
This is a good book. I am glad that Web finally got a story. This book is about Web and Lexie and how they navigate their lives with them both learning new things and Lexie learning new things with the Alpha- Bits and family.
I was so excited Web got a happy ending with Alexia, the Alpha-Bits and all his Brothers. I can’t wait to see what you come with next!! Thanks for another great story.
