NewBee is a story about cross-pollination, a story of combining the lessons learned across jobs, courses, conferences, and interactions with people to create a unique honey.
Without an instruction manual to realize his dreams, Ernesto had to rely on his curiosity and relentless pursuit to find a way to combine his analytical background in systems engineering with his desire for creating community using food and hospitality. Ernesto shares stories about how an eating disorder leads to building software for nightclubs, baking up a bread company in his apartment, and ultimately creating a career at the intersection of his passions and skills.
NewBee contains the lessons learned while exploring the fields of flowers through high school, college, and the postgraduate worlds. Applying the ideas discussed in NewBee gives everyone the ability to discover their passions, create their honey, and realize their dreams.

All of the lessens are from personal experiences and it reads as soo. I found that I would read a chapter or two at a time but could've read the entire thing in one setting. A lot of reflection on my own life was triggered by reading about Ernesto Mandowsky's life.
A wonderful book about the author's journey through his life and the many varied skills and experiences he has applied throughout his career. It's an interesting read, where you really feel like you know the person who's writing the book. I was especially interested in his idea of "cross-pollination" between multiple business and artistic disciplines. This book will leave you thinking about how to expand your network and help pollinate new ideas. A short and fun read, definitely worth adding to your library.
"NewBee: Lessons Learned while Cross-Pollinating my Life, Discovering my Passions, and Creating my Honey" is a great book penned by the author Ernesto Mandowsky. Like most of us, Ernesto had no idea what he was going to do after growing up. He had multiple interests and passions. He didn't want to follow the path laid in front of him by his family as his interests are different. So, he decided to create a rewarding career experience made up of his various interests. This is Cross-pollinating.
I loved Ernesto's idea of creating a vision board by looking at which we will realize everytime what we actually want to achieve in life. I loved when family was also a part of his vision board as I also wanna stay around my loved ones. This book takes the readers on author's journey as he explored different areas during his school, college life, while volunteering, etc. I could connect well to this book as even I had done engineering and have tried my hands at various options in life.
