I'm not sure that I liked the second book quite as well as the first, but I still thought it was good. I'm reading these with an eye towards adding them to my own library for my boys to read but am not sure how interested they would be in reading them independently.

It's fine as preteen/teen lit. Not particularly exciting as an adult, but clean book for kids.
