Woah! WTF have I just read and how did I manage to find a twisted, depraved killer so damn hot and desirable that I want one of my own? OMG

, otherwise known as Samuel, is sexy in a dangerous and very slightly scary way. I never once wondered why Sandra couldn’t help but submit to him, because he got ME all hot and bothered.
Saving Sandra is a knife-edge read, the tension, the exhilaration, the uncertainty all had me spellbound, ferociously devouring every word, look, sigh and exhale. I would recommend NOT starting to read this if you have anything important to do, including sleep, because once it has you in its thrall, you will not be let go of. You will not be able to stop reading and put this down. You will promise yourself you will “just read the next page”, then “just read to the end of the chapter” before “just a few more pages, honestly” all the while knowing full well that you are uttering bald-faced lies and promises you have no intention of keeping.
I want to describe Sandra as a lucky woman, but that would just be so untrue. She is put through the wringer and then some. A lost soul, hurt beyond belief and looking for a connection, she takes some really risky risks. In fact risky doesn’t come close, downright stupidly dangerous is a more honest description. I can’t even say that she came out of those encounters unscathed, but she did find that connection. Unfortunately she found it with a man who was even more damaged and screwed up than she was.
Samuel isn’t a good man. There are reasons, so many reasons, and those reasons do partly make the difference. However what saved him, Sandra and their love story were two things. The first is that he does, despite his own best efforts, have a sliver of humanity left within his darkened soul. The other is that whilst he isn’t that good man, he very much is a good man for and to Sandra. Even if he does leave bruises.
The book should come with a very large NSFW warning emblazoned across the cover because oh my days is it seriously hot, steamy and liable to induce incredibly lustful thoughts and impulses. If you’re in a relationship your partner will definitely appreciate the side effects, otherwise make sure you have a ready supply of batteries available. Just saying. They both like to play on the darker side, things do get rough, brutally rough, but all the sex is consensual.
And that isn’t even mentioning the suspense element of the book, which is just as integral a part of the plot. It had me biting my nails with it’s life-or-death moments. It had tension, terror and horrific consequences, all of which kept me on the edge of my seat. Nicolina Martin continues to amaze me with her sheer versatility, her ability to create complex characters and the way she creates a world that just sucks you in. I hugely recommend this book to all those who love romance books with a darker edge.

Oh wow. This book just knocked me tf out. There was just so many convolutions and I was never quite sure where it was going to go next.
We have a MMC that I want to hate a good chunk of the time, a FMC that I occasionally want to smack, and a storyline that is compelling. I mean, what more can you really want to have out of a book?
I like Sandra, and I totally understand her. She has to wear so many different masks it's hard to know who she is and it can be very tiring and makes it hard for her to find something that's her. I don't know that I would've gone to her lengths, but I understand it.
I have very complicated feelings about Samuel. There are times when I really wanted to hate him, and did, and then times when I understood him. Like I said, complicated.

I really liked the first book and I loved the MCs but I love this book more!!! Savage and Ms Breathless were dynamite together. A bit broken, perfect in their imperfections and much to their surprise, they found a real connection with each other.
It’s more of a character driven love story with steamy sexy times than romantic suspense (but it still has some thrills and action too). Can’t wait to read the rest in this series.

Samuel is a paid assassin and his next hit is a mysterious beauty. Sandra is the hollywood star with a hit placed on her, but a very lonely life even though people are all around her. There are admirers and stalkers, her children and others but she's alone and searching for more. There's the exciting connection she makes online with Savage666, as her online alias of Breathless28. I loved the sexy, scary chats the two unknown lovers have as they play the game of innuendo and secret lust. There's a few hookups that are steamy yet scary but so darn hot you can see the pages smoking. Sandra is looking for a connection and she just might have found what she was looking for, but she has to survive in order to finally have everything she needs to be complete, as twisted as it may be. Book two of the West Coast Doms is everything you could want and many things you had no idea you could love. Great job Ms. Martin!

A dark captivating tale that is literally a page turner, I couldn’t put it down once I started it. The character of Samuel aka Savage 666 is freaking scary, intensely sexy and even though he’s a sadistic no holds barred killer, inexplicably somehow he won me over. I’m still not sure how the hell that happened! Two damaged characters drawn to each other with fascinating backstories. The scenes between him and Sandra left me breathless, hot and bothered. It was great to catch up with previous characters but this also worked perfectly as a standalone. I love this talented authors style and once again it’s five dark depraved stars from me

At first the online-Dom she finds seems interesting, then their sexx-ting heats up until they finally meet in person. And from then on things begin to get really hot, and twisted, and creepy, and did I mention hot? Well, let me repeat it, h.o.t.!
Until the whole thing turns into a who-done-it, or better, a who-wants-it-done?
The conclusion is, ....

This series just keeps getting better!
I loved the first book in the series - Commanding Casey - but I possibly love this book even more. Sandra and Samuel are very complex, very flawed, and ultimately very loveable characters. Sandra's loneliness, Samuel's profound disassociation from people, broke me a little. It's a testament to this author's skill that I rooted for them despite their flaws and desperately wanted them to have their HEA. Can the hitman and the Hollywood star have a happily ever after? You have to read this wonderful, wonderful book to find out.
Highly recommended.

This is the second book in the series; though characters from Commanding Casey do appear, this is a standalone.
Hollywood actress Sandra and professional hitman Samuel meet on a hook-up site and then engage in some anonymous BDSM play. Both sense a connection, but for various reasons cannot act on it -- until they realize that Samuel's personal and professional lives are about to collide in a horrifying way.
If you're looking for an intense, well-written, darkish kink book featuring well-described erotic scenes between an MC who exhibit character growth, you'll probably enjoy this. The specific kinks include sadism, consensual non-consent, and breath play -- at times it gets rough, but Samuel never actually harms Sandra and there are certain lines he won't cross. I particularly appreciated that Sandra was strong and that Samuel appreciated it.
In this story, Ms. Martin addresses trauma in general (both characters had abusive childhoods) and the relationship between BDSM and trauma in particular. The latter is an age-old debate: "Are you using BDSM to process your past trauma and does it matter if the acts prove to be successful coping mechanisms?" Here, the "connection" that both Sandra and Samuel feel is, in part, their shared attitude towards BDSM as a powerful tool to address emotional pain.
I do have some quibbles. Given that this book is set in the U.S. and the characters are American, the anglicisms ("trainers," "bin," "any joy") are out of place; the depictions of film production are unrealistic; the idea that Sandra is a target because she's a movie star doesn't allow for the many "ordinary" women who are stalked every day; Sandra's maiden name isn't Polish; and there are some plot holes (why ). But the only one that made me roll my eyes was when Sandra felt guilty about anything to do with Samuel when he was the one who placed her and her children in danger.
3 1/2 stars which I'm raising to 4 because I really appreciated the friendship among Sandra, her ex, and his new wife since this genre usually divides them. At the end of the day, however, I can only muster so much sympathy for a man who kills innocent people for money. Note: I suspect that Samuel's friends & associates might get their own books.

'Saving Sandra' is the second book in Nicolina Martin's "West Coast Doms" series and trust me when I tell you this story takes off at a run and doesn't slow down. Sandra Hooper, aka Miss Breathless, is an actress with a strong personality that plays the kicka$$ heroine. Divorced with two children, she carries her own baggage that no one sees or knows about. While her children were with their father, Sandra filled out an online kink application. Sober the next day, she re-reads what she's submitted and had intended to delete it but wanted to read the responses first. That's when she read the response from Savage666, aka Samuel, and became intrigued. Samuel carries a baggage of his own. A veteran who has served his country fulfilled his duty, and then came home to lose ends. Drugs and alcohol didn't help but a fellow soldier put him in touch with someone he could hire out his skills to. Now he's an assassin for hire and a stuntman between jobs. When these two meet it's dark, dirty, gritty, explosive, and yet there's a chemistry between them that would set my kindle on fire if it were any hotter. There are plenty of triggers in this storyline so if you're a sensitive reader with non-con triggers tread carefully. If you're like me and enjoy a heart-pumping, adrenaline racing, dark read, then consider this one for you.

Author Martin continues to get better and better with her writing and its a pleasure to read it. Always bringing something new, this story is about a bored assassin with a rough sex fetish and plenty of demons. He meets unfulfilled famous actress Sandra on the Internet, and sparks fly. I thought the banter on the app they were on was terrific and honest. I will admit, the sex scenes made me cringe... Not my cup of tea but I had to put that aside. This was about Sandra, not me, and the fact that she liked it made sense. I also loved the fact that it can be read as a true standalone. I didn't read book one and didn't feel like I was missing anything.
Some of the dialogue was a bit clunky, and I felt some characters were conveniently suddenly left out. (What happened to Silas the doorman? The original assistant? Usually actor's assistants are attached at the hip) And I didn't find the story very dark, which was fine by this reader. But all in all, I really enjoyed the fast paced tale, and the ending wasn't obvious. It was easy to keep reading because of how riveting the story was. Author Martin just keeps getting better and better, and the writing shows wonderful growth. She's become a must read in my world.

WOW!!! Talk about insanely intense and very twisted, this story had it all. I was on the edge of my seat the whole book with a racing pulse and obliterated panties. I must be crazy to find a domineering, depraved and oh so deliciously twisted killer so freaking hot and sexy but I did. This story will enthrall you, entertain you and have you wishing for someone just like Samuel to knock on your door!
The characters are phenomenal and the plot is so thick you never know what is going to happen with the next turn of the page. Sandra and Samuel have very dark demons in their pasts that seem to follow them through life. They are both looking for something that neither of them knows how to get. There is a connection between them that is undeniable and hard to pull away from. And their sexual chemistry will literally blow up your panties.

This book is incredible! Dark as sin, the H and h are both deeply damaged from childhood, and believe themselves incapable of love. Were the story different, this particular happy ever after might seem sappy, but it just doesn't. It is goodness coming to people who did not know they could achieve it. Beautifully written, this story will stay with me.

Loved this book!
Even a huge Hollywoods star's life isn't perfect.
On the outside, Hollywood Actress Sandra Hooper's life looks to be idyllic but she has problems. Her problem is there is no sex in her life. She needs someone to take control, and with her fame she finds it hard to find the right person.
On a drunken lonely night she opens her laptop and her life starts to change.
Savage666 has sent a message to BREATHLESS28, what happens next changes her life. Savage666 says he is a bad man but is he the man that she needs, he could be her biggest danger or her saviour.
A brilliant story with great characters. After reading the second book in this series, I really need to go and read the first.

Nail bitting, edge of your seat must read!
A deliciously dark romance read that will keep you at the edge of your seat from start to finish. The storyline intrigue me but it was the characters that kept me flipping the pages. Sandra was looking for something and she didn’t know it was Samual until their one night of pleasure has here addicted for more. But when danger approaches her from an unexpected source her life turns for the worst. I so enjoyed this newest release that kept me entertained, it was suspenseful, nail bitting and heat level galore that is a definite must read.

Wow, Saving Sandra was so delectably dark! Samuel is one twisted, broken man who relishes the kill. But he never expected to find his prey so utterly enticing! Sandra is feeling like she's missing something in her life, and when she meets Savage666 online, she is completely taken with him, as he is with her. Their darkly teasing moments were OTT sexy and oh, so beguiling! I loved their seductive banter, and there were definitely some panty-melting scenes! I loved this steamy cat and mouse game - it was a winner through and through!

This was a great read, Nicolina is a great author. The story had a couple of good twists to it and I really enjoyed the read. There were a couple of loose ends throughout the story that I expected to come back but did not, but the main story was great.

Saving Sandra is white hot, with a huge heart. Spicy, sweet, funny, heartwarming, suspenseful, outrageous. I felt all the feels while reading about Samuel and Sandra. Highly recommend.

Wow! I was so desperate to get my hands on this book after reading Commanding Casey (absolutely get that book if you haven’t already by the way) and it still exceeded my expectations! This is a captivatingly dark tale that kept me on the edge of my seat; glued to the pages from start to finish. I don’t know how Nicolina does it, but she manages to create these alpha males that are so damaged anyone in their right mind should run quickly in the opposite direction, however there is enough humanity to engage the reader and make you insanely drawn to these compelling characters! Samual is definitely a bad man, there’s no two ways about it and Sandra is equally damaged in her own way but can the two find a way to heal each other somehow? Filled with tension and suspense, this is not a soft romance, it IS beyond hot - be sure to have a partner or BOB on standby. Lovers of dark romance, do not miss out on this deliciously depraved read. Wonderful word building and pacing, I can’t rate this story highly enough. Works perfectly well as a stand-alone, but why would you deprive yourself of the full experience? Love, love, LOVED this book and can’t wait to read more from this talented author.

Oh my dayz. I totally inhaled this story as I couldn’t get enough of this story. The storyline, the characters... I loved everything about this story. You really do need to read this for yourself. I need to read more by this author.

To say this story is tense is an understatement, it is impossible to put down but it is dark and at times depraved but then it changes and becomes a mystery and then a love story, quite incredible in one book. Cole and Casey seem like a typical suburban family compared to Sandra and Samuel which is saying something if you have read Commanding Casey but it is a charming respite from the intensity of Samuel earlier in the book. It never ceases to amaze me that Ms. Martin has the ability to write characters so that the most depraved, evil sadistic killer becomes a hero and the reader ends up rooting for him in spite of everything. There is so much in this book and there is relief and a happy ending. A great read.

Another outstanding book by this author. Ms. Martin has a way of pulling you into the soul of the book and the heart of character. This is one twisted dark sordid tale of epic proportions. Sandra is searching for a connection with someone to take her demons away. She finds Samuel who is dark, mysterious and sadistic. This riveting story I highly recommend.

She’s done it again this was a fabulously twisted but compelling read.
Briefly introduced as Cole’s ex-wife in Commanding Casey, Sandra Hooper would appear to be a selfish, self obsessed shrew who cares for nothing but her burgeoning film career, this could not be further from the truth.
Sandra is an intelligent, sensible, caring and attentive mother to her two children Sage an 11 year old boy who is approaching that difficult pre-teen age and Alicia her younger daughter. Following on from Cole and Casey’s story, they are living happily and the children live one week with them and one with Sandra. Sandra’s successful film career is ascending and she therefore finds herself having to play the movie star game, red carpet functions, reviews openings etc, including a sham relationship with her present co-star.
On the surface her life would seem perfect but this is all a facade. Sandra is desperately lonely and, feeling bereft, is looking to make a connection. Alone and very down, drunk, spaced out and sleepless one night she creates an anonymous account on a fetish dating website using the tag breathless28, introducing herself as a submissive interested in certain kinks, including spanking, bondage and mild humiliation, moderate pain and choking. Later when scrolling through the replies full of facile posers, and photos of intimate male genitalia, she is about to logoff when a new message pops up from Savage666 “what are your desires?” “A connection”
And so this twisted but absorbing story begins.
Samuel Vaughan is Savage666 a part time movie stuntman his real job is full time hit man having been in special forces and worked for the government etc, he now just works for himself. He has no feelings and cares for nothing and nobody cares for him. He is a self confessed sadistic monster who killed his entire family when 9 years old, when he burned the house down. Whether this was by accident or not is moot. Deeply flawed and scared both figuratively and literally he is a mercurial and compelling character who would seem beyond all and any redemption.
No spoilers here you need to read this fabulously absorbing book.
How can two of the most profoundly flawed and disparate people, Samuel a sociopathic stone cold killer with no apparent empathy whatsoever and Sandra, troubled and traumatised, incapable of having a ‘normal’ relationship, generate a reader’s investment? Read on and enjoy, I certainly did.

NM's website: Commanding Casey was initially written as a standalone. Casey and Cole had their riveting ride to their HEA and all is well that ends well, yes? Wrong.
Sandra, Cole's ex wife, is not a lady who sits where you put her. She demanded a book of her own.
Saving Sandra was born.
As I wrote Sandra, I knew there were more to these people. They had history. Sandra and Cole were a couple in their teens, they got married, had friends, got their kids, and then something terrible happened - something that tore all of them apart.
As Reeba Mitchell introduced herself in Sandra's book, along with Ryder, and they got their book, Restraining Reeba, the rest of the cast came knocking.
Peter and Penelope demanded their book, and lo and behold, they'd known both Sandra and Cole back in the days. Yeah, I HAD to tell the story of how it all fell apart.
So book 1 (Casey) is now book 2, and I'm writing as fast as I can to give you book 1 - Punishing Penelope. It's up for preorder and so far it's looking awesome! Yet another couple to love, coming to you soon.

This is another simply wonderful read
This is a riveting read that once I started, I literally had to read it in one sitting it simply was impossible to but down, every turn of the page I was just waiting for the next thing to happen in the story.
Sandra Hooper does not realise quite how much of an effect he had on her as she had on him and it seemed that unknowingly both of them have certain proclivities that they are able to fulfil in each other.
He had been hired as a killer, his job was to take out a woman as quickly as possible on a weekend when she was alone, when her children were with her ex but what he had not known was the fact that the woman was in fact a female he knew as Miss Breathless and she knows him as Samuel.
Sandra Hooper is the movie star and it seems that someone wants her dead and there is very little she can do; he can see the hurt and the betrayal in her eyes and even though their meetings had been purely sexual and now he was in conflict and he doesn’t know what to do.
This is a wonderful read it will hold your attention completely, it is absolutely riveting and has you holding on the edge of your seat.

Five Stars but deserves more!!

They make a connection but both go on their separate ways.Samuel has a new job to kill he stakes his prey unknowingly it’s Sandra. He cannot kill her because he’s falling in love. This book is devilishly dark and twisting it will have you up all night for many reasons (one being you just cant put it down) Sandra is an actress she has the fame, money and lavish lifestyle people would kill for! but she feels alone, which leads her to going on a site that connects strangers through Kink website where she ends up becoming captivated by the mysterious savage666 (AKA Samuel) she knows he is a dom into dark things, but Sandra craves the thrill even when she knows what is at risk and her life certainly is when Samuel gets hired to take her out. Samuels a hit man for hire, he never thought Sandra would be on his receiving end. Can Samuel go through with the hit on the woman who makes him feel like a part of him is still alive? who would want the single mother dead? this is a well written captivating read that doesn't let you go! the hot scenes are off the chart and depths they go will have you gasping for your own breath!
