This introduction to yoga for children contains variations on traditional yoga postures that help children develop physical strength, flexibility, emotional calm, and self-expression. The games involve relaxation, trust, and cooperation. Included are over 50 illustrations and 16 completely structured lessons based on themes like the seasons, rain, snow, and animals.
A lot of the games were great, I just can't see the massage portion of this book going over very well in the US culture. Especially in this day and age.
I used this book to develop a yoga program for kids. It has been valuable at helping me learn beginning poses and how to teach them in ways kids will understand. It's a great resource I've considered buying for my personal collection because I used it so much!
