• Book 1 - ‘Scars and Stripes’ - 4.5 ⭐️

“An MIT graduate and a reader? Oh, you’re really going to get it. Bend over, bookworm.”
- Nora

• Book 2 - ‘Sore Spots’ - 4 ⭐️

“C’est la guerre, as Kingsley would say. It was for the best, anyway. She liked him and she didn’t like that she liked him. Like led to love and love led to nasty complications. Although with Lance at least there were no foreseeable nasty complications that involved the Vatican. One more check in the plus column for that guy.”
- Nora

• Book 3 - ‘The Games Destiny Plays’ - 4 ⭐️

“She breathed through the pain, breathed through it and into it, not fighting it. She had come here tonight for the pain, for the surrender, for the chance to forget everything she didn’t want to remember.”
- Nora

• Book 4 - ‘Fit To Be Tied’ - 4 ⭐️

“I know the feeling. That feeling that what you’re doing is right, so unbelievably right, and yet knowing the entire world would say it was wrong... Terrifying to think someone would try to take a love like that away from you.”
- Nora

• Book 5 - ‘The Last Good Night’ - 4 ⭐️

“You’re mine. My property. My possession. My slave and servant. My knight and my protector.”
- Nora

The Last Good Knight is a serialised novella in Tiffany Reisz's Original Sinners series, it fits into the time line before The Siren but I wouldn't recommend reading any of the prequel novellas until you've read at least the first main book in the series so that you'll be familiar with the characters and their relationships with each other. This novella was published in five instalments (see list below) but I have chosen to review the story as a whole so I'm going to keep my discussions about the plot fairly vague and focus more on how I felt about it.

I have been a huge fan of this series from the get go, Tiffany Reisz has managed to pull me into her world so completely that I feel like she's actually writing from personal experience and that all of these characters really do exist out there somewhere. I can't think of any other series where all of the characters feel so real to me, even the ones we don't get to spend a lot of time with like the newbie in this story Lance.

I have to tell you how much I adored Lance, he was such a wonderful, sweet and caring guy and I really wanted him to find happiness more than anything. I was so angry with life for screwing him over the way it had and it was actually painful to see what he had to give up in order to get the one thing he'd been fighting for for such a long time. I know that sounds vague but like I said, I really don't want to give you spoilers and I'm sure once you've read the story you'll understand exactly what I mean. The chemistry he had with Nora was absolutely wonderful and I really did feel that they could have been perfect together so it was hard to see the world trying to pull them in different directions.

As with any story by this author The Last Good Knight is incredibly hot, and will definitely leave you fanning yourself. Tiffany Reisz never fails to turn up the heat and Nora doesn't like to be kept waiting so you know you're in for a treat when she's in full on Domme mode. Her relationship with Lance isn't just about sex though, there is so much more to it than that and they have a strong emotional connection too. The story also has plenty of drama, action and mystery as well as giving us glimpses of both Soren and Kingsley which always makes me happy. As much as I would have loved a full length novel staring Lance (and I kind of hope we'll get to see more of him in the future!) I still enjoyed every minute of this novella and it's helped tide me over until the release of the next full length novel. I don't think I'll ever get enough of this series so I hope we've got many more stories to come!

Here is the reading order for the instalments in The Last Good Knight serialised novella:
1. Scars and Stripes
2. Sore Spots
3. The Games Destiny Plays
4. Fit to be Tied
5. The Last Good Night

“You’re mine.” She kissed his lips. “My property. My possession. My slave and servant. My knight and my protector.”
“Yours,” he said and seemingly could say no more.

Now that The Original Sinners series is over, I’ve been scrambling to read anything and everything that’s available in the kinky world of Nora, Kingsley, and Søren. I found this gem, a serial of novellas that find Nora working as a dominatrix for Kingsley at The 8th Circle prior to the events in The Siren. There she encounters Lance, an ex-Navy SEAL who is both chivalrous and submissive.

While fairly short, this was a very fantastic read. Tiffany Reisz has crafted such an amazing character in Nora Sutherlin, and I love love love her! On one hand Nora is strong, sexy, and fierce kinkster that doesn’t take shit from anyone. On the other, she is a thoughtful and compassionate person, as any good dominatrix should be, and she truly cares for others. But her quick wit and filthy mouth are what I love most about her.

“Bastard,” she said under her breath but still loud enough for him to hear.
“Watch your language, Eleanor. You’re never too old for me to turn you over my knee.”

Lance is such a contrast to Søren, so it is fun to see his and Nora’s relationship play out. While Lance is one sexy beast of a submissive, I love that there is still so much of our favorite sadist, Søren. The sex is off-the-charts hot, as usual. My only complaint would be not enough Kingsley.

This little novella has helped to quell my Original Sinners addiction for just a bit. Certainly a quick but wonderful read.

This was a really good book. Lance, an ex Navy Seal and a perfect sub. Nora likes him, she likes him a lot and I admit he was really the perfect man and the perfect sub. The story takes place 3 years before The Siren after Nora gives up her life with Soren and she’s playing Dominatrix Mistress Nora. The chemistry he had with Nora was absolutely wonderful and I really did feel that they could have been perfect together so it was hard to see the world trying to pull them in different directions. The story also has plenty of drama, action and mystery as well as giving us glimpses of both Soren and Kingsley. This book was well written with no errors in spelling or grammar. I am really looking forward to reading The Siren.

When I started reading this, I was convinced that it would be a very good Tiffany's, but in the end, there was too much sex. O.K. sex is intertwined with BDSM, but I like a story to support sex and BDSM.

So I give 4 stars for the parts without too much sex and 2 for the rest. That gives an average of 3.

Too bad, it had started so well.

Great novella by Reisz, I burned through all 5 audiobooks in day. None of the characters sound what I would have expected them to, but hell who's going to live up to the holy trinity that is Soren, Nora and The King?

A part of the Original Sinners Pulp Library, this novella is set three years before The Siren, and is a fun, sexy and heartfelt look into the life of Mistress Nora, a now in-demand Dominatrix, as she meets a man with the potential to change her world.

Nora meets Lance at the 8th Circle, and she is immediately entranced. She wants him. Lucky for her, he’s a sub, and wants her right back – in any and all ways. They share an intense evening together which is cut short by a security risk, but both of them know that they want more. Except that Kingsley is locking down his staff, and Mistress Nora more than most, and he gives her a bodyguard with the rule that she is to keep her hands off – of course, it’s Lance.

So instead of getting all kinky, they spend time together actually talking. He watches her work, spends time in her home, and the two of them open up to each other and truly get to know each other. Emotion becomes involved, so that by the time they’re able to make it back to the bedroom, it’s deeper and way more intense than their first encounter, and of course it’s all kinds of steamy.

Lance is gorgeous. He’s been through a lot, and he may be a sub, but he’s a strong, alpha guy who knows what he wants, and who holds nothing back in going for it.

“You’re like a queen. You’re strong and fearless. Men serve you. They want to serve you. Hell, they should serve you. You don’t answer to anybody. You don’t apologize to anyone ... You make me wish we lived a thousand years ago. I’d slay dragons for you, Mistress.”

Nora continues to be deeply fabulous. She is supremely confident, and embraces her extraordinary life, owning her decisions and her flaws, and doing whatever (and whoever) the hell she wants.

“I’m not one of those angst-ridden types who constantly worries about whether or not she’s doing the right thing, making the right choices or God forbid, pissing someone off. I piss off more people before 10 a.m. than most people do all day.”

But her feelings are complicated by her continuing, undying love for her ex, Søren, and by what Lance actually needs. There’s a lot of soul-searching in this one, and it’s quite emotional. I loved the storyline, and way the story unfolded, and I thought it was beautifully written while staying true to the characters.

As much as I loved Nora and Lance, the true magic of this book, once again, comes from Nora and Søren’s all-too-brief interactions. Their dynamic is too complex to get into here, but reading this makes me want to go back and read the entire Original Sinners series, just to experience it all again.

“You came when I called. You came several times if I remember correctly, and I always remember correctly.”
“That was just sex.”
“Say that again. I might believe you.”
“It. Was. Just. Sex.”
He raised his chin and looked down at her. With his eyes narrowed he said softly, “No…still don’t believe you.”

“You still love me.”
“So? I love this, too. I’m not ready to give this up yet. I’m just finding out who I am finally.”
“Mine,” Søren said. “You are mine. That’s who you are.”

I loved this novella. It’s a great read, full of all the wonderful characters, sensational dynamics, and yes, all the kink, that I expect from the series.

4.5 stars.

I love this world. I always feel so sad for Nora/Eleanor though. Goodness! Lance was amazing. Wish he could have stayed around, but that wouldn't have allowed for the angst between Eleanor and Soren to continue to be a part of the story.

Ten years after I first started this series, I have FINALLY finished every book, novella, and short story—and what a journey it’s been. It feels incredibly satisfying to reach the end, yet COMPLETELY bittersweet to say goodbye.

When I first began, I was already behind the curve—the first book had been out for three years before I ever picked it up. Still, from the moment I started reading, I was pulled in completely.

These characters and Tiffany Reisz’s atmospheric, emotionally rich writing will stay with me for a long time. This series is about so much more than its subject matter. I need a strong plot, romance, and meaningful character interactions alongside the steam—and Tiffany Reisz delivered all of that and more. Time and again, I felt fully inside the characters’ heads during their most vulnerable, lonely, heartbreaking moments, as well as their happiest ones.

It’s hard to put into words just how amazing this writing is for anyone who hasn’t experienced it yet. The series is filled with sadness, resilience, humor, and such deep tenderness between the characters—it truly lingers with you.

Originally written as a five part serial, The Last Good Knight, was no exception…Lance xo

I sincerely hope Tiffany Reisz brings back her Christmas short stories someday; those were always a personal highlight.

This will forever be one of my all-time favorite series.

XO 💕

I love reading these sexy books from Tiffany! This one surprisingly caught me off guard and I found myself crying at the end. I was not expecting it. I didn’t read the synopsis so I’m not even sure if it wouldn’t given me a heads up or not, but I was definitely surprised at these turn of events.

Watching Nora fall for anyone but Søren is kinda wild. I know we’ve seen her with other men, and women, but this guy got to me. This story takes place three years before The Siren so I know how all that ends, but it still hits me I’m the feels.

Man, Tiffany sure does know how to mix sweet with saucy.

It's been a long time since I read The Last Good Knight. It's been lovely getting reacquainted with the story of Nora having her heart touched by a knight, among other parts of her.

This story came out right before The Saint, if I remember correctly. It was a good predecessor. In The Saint Nora started a relationship with Nico, a relationship that resembles the one she could have had with Lance had life not have been unfair. I think this story had a purpose to show the readers that Nora had a part of her that wished to collar a submissive. Lance was not to be, but Nico was.

The story was also interesting for the fact it showed Nora's life before it got really complicated in The Siren.

I loved this one so much! It was incredibly sexy, while also filled with emotion. The ending had me both sad and really happy. I just wish we got to find out what happened to Nora’s knight after their story ended.

I'm confident I read this before but not in this format.

The best part, I think, about Tiffany Reisz erotic novels and novellas is that despite there being a lot of smut and kink and BDSM, there is so much heart in it, so much soul and emotion.
It's not your typical happily ever after harlequin novels.
Real life is hard and you often have to make incredibly difficult choices and I don't know what erotic novels are as sensual and equally as honest as her novels are. (That's why I had a tattoo done of her Original Sinners series - because of how impactful it is and how much heart, soul, and love is so entangled with the kink and the lifestyle that people may not know about).

That being said, what kind of woman doesn't want a man like Lance~
Even to meet someone like him during a vacation, like a getaway/vacation romance.
That's the dream.

And Nora is only thirty in this book!
There are so many books I really need to arrange my shelf in chronological order because I genuinely don't remember how old everyone is by the last book/novella.
There are just so many lol and I love them all so much.

I think Reisz is the only erotic writer I know that makes my heartache and pang and want to cry - reading an erotic novel/novella!
(I'm sure there are more out there but I have yet to find any with as much heart as these books have).

Part 1:
It’s here in part I that the reader is introduced to the dashing Lance, who I took an instant like to. With Nora having already made the break from Søren, she approaches him in her usual brash manner and, as usual, gets her way. There’s an air of safety around Lance that never once makes you question his intentions, you feel certain no harm will come to Nora once they are on their own and he’s as straightforward about his needs as they come.

Part 2:
Now we know Nora does not take no for an answer, even if it means she has to go elsewhere for her kicks. Her appointments have been cancelled, due a violent attack, but she decides it’s business as usual and drags Lance along for the ride. Keeping their hands off each other makes for a frustrated heroine but it was fun to read. It was also nice to have a little of the old ‘interaction’ between Søren and Nora and I will confess that I missed the priest not having a larger part.

Part 3:
The No Sex and No Kink ban lingers on. However, being skilled as she is in the art of loopholes makes for one hot scene between Nora and Lance that I’ve never come across in an erotic book before. It’s such a simple act, so maybe that’s why but it certainly worked it’s magic and played it’s part perfectly.

Part 4:
The human side of Nora makes a break for the surface and Lance really begins to get under her skin, which is a side to her that I love, and sets about righting some wrongs.

The attacker has been caught and so resumes what Nora does best, driving a man to distraction in her bed.

Part 5:
The real side of Nora shines through as her and Lance get news they do not want to hear. Putting her feelings aside as best she can, she points Lance in the direction he knows is best but doesn’t want to face.

The final scenes of them together are heartbreaking. They are proper steamy but beautiful and powerful at the same time. Only Tiffany Reisz could make naughty sex so heartfelt.

The Last Good Knight is another journey for Nora and I am really curious about how her life and the Original Sinners series have panned out if there was no such dilemma in the way of a real relationship?

Read as all the parts together with the amazing new cover.

I love these little off shoots of the Original Sinners books. So this one is before I met Nora for the first time in the Siren. Pre-Wes. I absolutely totally and utterly adored Wes. Clearly not kinky enough for Nora but just beautiful anyway.

Nora meets Lance, a new employee of my favourite Sinner, Kingsley Edge. He is Mistress Nora’s kind of guy, and he’s also a kind guy; a lovely guy, a pure gentleman and a true white knight.

Søren surprises me. I know him better now. Where once I might have misunderstood his intentions (see comment above about loving Wes) now I read and I recognise his soul. He might have actually made me cry a little bit in this book. I hurt for him, without him hurting me. He still scares me.

Lance really is lovely. He makes a great plaything for Nora. But sometimes life gets in the way of a view of a beautiful ceiling.

And now I feel like I need to re-read the Simone parts in the novels and find out where Juliette came in.

Wow.

Oh how I'll never get enough of Nora!!
These stories just throw me back into the world of Orginal Sinners and I couldn't be happier!! ❤️

So exciting to see Søren, Kingsley and Nora again, they're still the same witty, arugumentative people! I live back into these books.

Now with the added touch of Lance, he truly was a Knight in Shining Armour. An awesome short read! Always bring back the feels of the Eighth Circle!

Never fails to disappoint - especially when the Sinners are involved!
Absolutely loved this. Read most of it with a heavy heart, as we all know that Lance doesn't feature in The Siren, so I knew that it couldn't end well for them, but what a lovely concept. The Mistress was as fabulous as ever, and the cameo by Soren was greatly appreciated!

Doing the right thing

Doing the right thing for the right reasons doesn't always make it right, Lance and mistress Nora could have a great thing but Lance wants his daughter in his life, I love Nora and the 8th circle members, a family of unconventional dynamics, thank you Tiffany Reisz for amazing stories, Dana Zamora

Painful goodbyes...
Nora bumps into the kindest, sexiest, sweetest submissive she's ever laid eyes on... she enjoys every moment with him, fanatasizing making him hers exclusively... but life is not a fantasy and she needs to help him leave her for a better future for him. 5 Sensual Stars for "The Last Good Knight"... where Nora needs to be the better man.

This shit was awesome. What a perfect man. The end hurt like shit even though I knew it would happen. I think it hurt just as much as the Virgin.
He and Nora were perfect together and now it will forever be perfect.
He looked like Chris Evans in my head.
