A Joyfully Jay review.

Love Logan is a get-together story by Tilly Keyes that takes place largely in the 41st century amid a very changed planet Earth. Culturally, the world Zero comes from measures everything in terms of success and worthiness of being remembered. Concepts like love are, if not taboo, then certainly worthy of ridicule. For the purposes of this story, the world building feels well structured around what’s important or relevant for the characters. I also appreciated tha ...more

I love books about time travel and this one here is quite unique.

Zero’s teleportation machine is the talk of the town in 4021. It could be the next big thing, even bigger than the flying cars Zero's ex boyfriend had supposedly invented. If only it would work!
Unfortunately however, on opening night, the machine fails. And the disastrous show turns Zero into the laughingstock of the town.

Wow, i am speechless... This book was so unexpectedly perfect for me and i just fell in love from the first moment. I am always a little wary of timetravel, but i loved it here and enjoyed the mcs so much.
Zero is such a fun, flawed and beautiful character. He is definitely going to be a favourite of mine. The conflict with what he knows in his time, the struggle with his goals and being selfish. Yet his showmanship and his wonder at magic, he has so much growth throughout this book and it was in ...more

I absolutely adored this book, it is set in the 41st century and it has everything flying cars, planets different islands high up buildings all the way to the 800th floor and counting. the world the author has built is so unique and different. This book follows Zero and how he just wants to succeed and be known for something and when his teleportation machine goes wrong and ends up being a time machine he has alot more to worry about than ...more

Zero is a human living in the underground world of Earth in the fourth millenium. He's a handy guy, a picker-fixer who aspires to be an inventor. In this world, no one lives above ground, as the atmosphere was destroyed by nuclear war time out of mind ago. Along with humans in this subterranean existence are Furists and Cold-Blooded. This means they are humanoid fur-covered beings, like giant cats, or scaly ambulatory snake-like people. These are not mutants, their ancestors arrived fro ...more

Sadly, this book just wasn't my cup of tea.
The year is 4021. Parents send their children to other planets when they are 10 to start their adult lives. Your status is everything, and concepts like love and friendship do not exist.
Zero is a zero, he fails in everything he does and so the teleportation machine he is building in hope of becoming successful and famous (and proving his ex-boyfriend Apollo that he is better than him) turns out to be a time machine. A time machine that sucks in an unsus ...more

All Zero wants is what everyone in the 41st century wants-- to succeed and be remembered. By that metric, it’s a devastating loss when his teleportation device fails, and an added inconvenience when it turns out to have bent the fabric of time and deposited 21st century Logan in the middle of his quickly imploding life. Zero’s culture doesn’t have room for love (or animals, or unprocessed food) and he’s been conditioned against empathy from birth, but when his fellow-being Honey (friend also isn

I don't really know where to start with this book, it was not what I expected.
You got Logan and Zero being the main characters with Honey close behind. Logan being pulled into Zero's world (and time, really), I get the confusion and hesitation at the beginning, but there was a lot of growth from both of them, and the love was.... Not sure how to put it into words. It was different since one of the men wasn't even familiar with what "Love" is. Can you imagine a world like that?

I received a copy of Love Logan by Tilly Keyes via IndiGo Marketing & Design in exchange for an honest review. I enjoy people out of their time stories and the author delivers an entertaining take on this trope. At first, I was unsure of English surviving two thousand years with few changes, but I gave in to it to follow the tale. Logan is a great character who feels himself a failure because he could not follow in his father’s footsteps. Zero, for me, took longer

All in all the book is enjoyable and a fun concept. Normally time travel transports one of the protagonists to the past but here Logan travels to the future. I like Zero and how much he grows from a selfish and shallow person to someone caring and in love. I wish that there had been a dual point of view though, because Logan is quite flat. He isn't fully fleshed out as a character and I don't really feel anything about him one way or the othe ...more

What a book! What an asbolutely amazing, beautiful book.
At first, I was caught off-track. I had expected someone from our time to timetravel back in the past, not to the future. But once I've managed to deal with my first surprise, I can say this book was absolutely amazing. I loved the characters, the concept - I sincerely hope the future ends up looking different than that - but I loved that there were different animal-people-hybrids. They were written extremly interesting, especially - and I ...more

I enjoyed the book very much. The very slow and tender development of the love story corresponded exactly with the world view and the character of a person from the 41st century.
