“It doesn’t matter what it is. You should tell your boyfriend anything, and solve your problems together”
Objectively it’s not probably the best volume but I got a lot of Mitsuki and towa being cute and going on a date together so I’m very happy.
The volume starts with towa being unconscious after the incident during the last game. They lost and he got a head injury and Mitsuki is there because she wants to confess her feelings. She’s tired of waiting because she wants to be there for him and Aya is leaving. However, they got interrupter by towas grandpa and Mitsuki wonders if it was the best time to tell him about her feelings. Later on, towa goes to the café to see her because he wants to speak with her. They have a new coach, who happens to be towas grandpa. They went to celebrate the second position and the senpai paid for the ramen but they weren’t in the mood because they lost and they couldn’t lift the no dating ban, until summer when they’ll play against hojo again. Now that Mitsuki opened up about her feelings, towa doesn’t want to leave her hanging and doesn’t want to date her in secret, since he’s the captain of the team. He begs the senpai to lift the ban but he doesn’t want to. They are getting better and better and they need to be focused, however his grandpa doesn’t think so and now they are allowed to date. Towa asks Mitsuki to be his girlfriend and after that she’s unable to eat and to sleep because her heart is bearing so fast. At school, they all go to the rooftop to celebrate, but rui is not happy because now, they are a couple and they’ll hold hands and kiss each other. Later on, they go to practice and Reina and Mitsuki can’t get in because it’s crowded. Basically, they end up talking with some classmates and she confesses that she’s dating towa. Apparently some girl confessed her feelings and he rejected her because now he has a girlfriend so Mitsuki has no other choice but to confess. In the end, some girls are really rude and say that towa has no taste. It affects her and she goes to nana for advice. She thinks they were really rude but it shouldn’t matter. Towa had dated before and he’s used to the attention and he truly doesn’t care. Mitsuki wants to be the same but she doesn’t want this to affect towa. She can’t take people talking bad about her but not about him. She wants nana to help her to look more beautiful and she shares her hair and makeup secrets. Later on we learn that towa wants to speak with aya before he leaves to the USA. Mitsuki doesn’t know when he’s leaving either but she decides to share his phone number so they can talk. She goes to the café to make something for the guys and for towa for Valentine’s Day. In the end, she chooses one recipe and nana is willing to help her and she wants to give her another present. She goes shopping with Reina and Rui is there looking for some chocolates. They decided to make some homemade chocolate at towas house for both nana and him. Towa is not there but his grandparents are. It’s their wedding anniversary and they are about to leave and towa knows. He’s out talking with aya. Aya tells him to make Mitsuki happy. He will come back eventually and he’ll try to steal her away and he doesn’t want her to be thinking about him. Towa wants to play against him again to beat him but aya believe that won’t ever happen and he got Mitsuki so he shouldn’t be so greedy. Towa says he would never forget him. He could appear out of nowhere to steal Mitsuki away and he wants to make her happy so she won’t think about aya that much. During Valentine’s Day they celebrate Ruis birthday and they go to the airport to say goodbye to aya. Towa was able to find his departure thanks to some classmates and they all wish to see him again one day and play against him or go to the hotspring.
Ruy made some chocolate for nana and he’s determined to give it to her as towa and Mitsuki go on their first date.
Honestly this volume was really cute. I love the date between Mitsuki and towa. She was so nervous because they were finally alone and he took her to his youth basketball team to distract her. He wants to do other stuff with her, something that is special for them both and different from their daily life. She’s grateful she introduced him to Ruys brother and she wants to be part of his life and his friends.
I have to admit that I was sad when aya left. I liked how he cared about Mitsuki and how he seems to enjoy the guys company even if they are rivals. I like how both him and towa challenge each other, however I don’t like the idea that one day he might come back to get Mitsuki again. I didn’t like how it was implied, however I hope that won’t ever happen and I think Mitsuki and towa truly love each other and he makes her happy in ways that aya can’t.
Also I love Reina and rui in this volume and I’m excited to see what unfolds between nana and him. I’ve enjoyed seeing the guys making stuff together for towa and nana and how Mitsuki was able to face what others has to say about her and her relationship with Towa.
Overall it was a filler volume but it was really cute and I got a lot of moments between Mitsuki and towa. Even if they were little I really appreciate them since they are cute and wholesome together.
