Meh. Only two more to go. I bought them all, so I’m going to read them all. They aren’t bad enough to DNF, just annoying for me to read since they aren’t my bag anymore.

3, they could be worse and I’m glad they aren’t, stars.

This cover is so cute. I didn't even notice they were holding hands until the author pointed it out. They're officially dating!

Content: Bball boys get the okay to start dating, Towa asks Mitsuki to be his girlfriend, when the gang goes to make chocolates, Towa and Aya meet to talk. AND THE ENDING KISS.

This volume starts with Towa and Mitsuki finally being able to be a couple, and with that they also don’t have to hide it. We also see how Mitsuki starts becoming insecure about their relationship due to some of the reactions people have about Towa being with Mitsuki. But it gets better when she is able to talk to her friends and Towa about her feelings. I also really enjoyed seeing Towa and Aya talk because they are learning from each other. It also shows how much they care for Mitsuki and that they know she always puts others happiness before her own, and they want to help her focus on herself sometimes. This volume also brings Mitsuki and Towa’s first date, part of it is at a kids basketball practice, which has Ren’s brother. Who is just as great as Ren is. Then at the very end we get Ryuji making his confession and we will have to wait to see how Nana-San reacts. Overall, I really enjoyed this book for a lot of the growth in the characters is shown in them being able to communicate their feelings.

So cute. I still 💜 them both even though one had to win, it was the most graceful love triangle loss I have ever read.

*FANGIRL SCREAMING AND SCREACHING*

This volume gave me life. I am so happy with how this story has been going, and I am ready to see how the mangaka chooses to end the series.

Short and sweet, but that is all you need to know. If you want to hear more, check out this video.

Is this the end??? I can't give up these characters!!! They're too precious! You can't just get me to love them then just take them away! Gosh. The nerve of some people.

Otherwise, a THROUGHLY satisfying addition to the story! Towa and Mitsuki are really perfect for each other. This is really part of the resolution arc and is just so perfectly laid out and performed... It's great.

Art style is perfect as always.

(Note: I finished reading the extras and the author said the final volume is 13!)

I am very happy with how this manga series has went! I just love Towa and Mitsuki together. I am on the hype train for them! There are still some issues that arise but it is nothing that they can’t handle together. They would both do anything for each other. It’s precious!

I’m also excited to see that Aya is still in the game even if his feelings weren’t matched by Mitsuki. He still wants what is best for her. It’s also cool that Towa tries to be friends with him even if Aya is hesitant. Their enemies friendship is hilarious and I love it.

There is also another romantic relationship at stake and that is where the manga ended with a huge cliffhanger! I’m glad that the next volume is already out because I need to what will happen for Nana-chan and Rui.

Overall, another sweet volume. They are all precious and I can’t wait to continue.

“It doesn’t matter what it is. You should tell your boyfriend anything, and solve your problems together”
Objectively it’s not probably the best volume but I got a lot of Mitsuki and towa being cute and going on a date together so I’m very happy.
The volume starts with towa being unconscious after the incident during the last game. They lost and he got a head injury and Mitsuki is there because she wants to confess her feelings. She’s tired of waiting because she wants to be there for him and Aya is leaving. However, they got interrupter by towas grandpa and Mitsuki wonders if it was the best time to tell him about her feelings. Later on, towa goes to the café to see her because he wants to speak with her. They have a new coach, who happens to be towas grandpa. They went to celebrate the second position and the senpai paid for the ramen but they weren’t in the mood because they lost and they couldn’t lift the no dating ban, until summer when they’ll play against hojo again. Now that Mitsuki opened up about her feelings, towa doesn’t want to leave her hanging and doesn’t want to date her in secret, since he’s the captain of the team. He begs the senpai to lift the ban but he doesn’t want to. They are getting better and better and they need to be focused, however his grandpa doesn’t think so and now they are allowed to date. Towa asks Mitsuki to be his girlfriend and after that she’s unable to eat and to sleep because her heart is bearing so fast. At school, they all go to the rooftop to celebrate, but rui is not happy because now, they are a couple and they’ll hold hands and kiss each other. Later on, they go to practice and Reina and Mitsuki can’t get in because it’s crowded. Basically, they end up talking with some classmates and she confesses that she’s dating towa. Apparently some girl confessed her feelings and he rejected her because now he has a girlfriend so Mitsuki has no other choice but to confess. In the end, some girls are really rude and say that towa has no taste. It affects her and she goes to nana for advice. She thinks they were really rude but it shouldn’t matter. Towa had dated before and he’s used to the attention and he truly doesn’t care. Mitsuki wants to be the same but she doesn’t want this to affect towa. She can’t take people talking bad about her but not about him. She wants nana to help her to look more beautiful and she shares her hair and makeup secrets. Later on we learn that towa wants to speak with aya before he leaves to the USA. Mitsuki doesn’t know when he’s leaving either but she decides to share his phone number so they can talk. She goes to the café to make something for the guys and for towa for Valentine’s Day. In the end, she chooses one recipe and nana is willing to help her and she wants to give her another present. She goes shopping with Reina and Rui is there looking for some chocolates. They decided to make some homemade chocolate at towas house for both nana and him. Towa is not there but his grandparents are. It’s their wedding anniversary and they are about to leave and towa knows. He’s out talking with aya. Aya tells him to make Mitsuki happy. He will come back eventually and he’ll try to steal her away and he doesn’t want her to be thinking about him. Towa wants to play against him again to beat him but aya believe that won’t ever happen and he got Mitsuki so he shouldn’t be so greedy. Towa says he would never forget him. He could appear out of nowhere to steal Mitsuki away and he wants to make her happy so she won’t think about aya that much. During Valentine’s Day they celebrate Ruis birthday and they go to the airport to say goodbye to aya. Towa was able to find his departure thanks to some classmates and they all wish to see him again one day and play against him or go to the hotspring.
Ruy made some chocolate for nana and he’s determined to give it to her as towa and Mitsuki go on their first date.
Honestly this volume was really cute. I love the date between Mitsuki and towa. She was so nervous because they were finally alone and he took her to his youth basketball team to distract her. He wants to do other stuff with her, something that is special for them both and different from their daily life. She’s grateful she introduced him to Ruys brother and she wants to be part of his life and his friends.
I have to admit that I was sad when aya left. I liked how he cared about Mitsuki and how he seems to enjoy the guys company even if they are rivals. I like how both him and towa challenge each other, however I don’t like the idea that one day he might come back to get Mitsuki again. I didn’t like how it was implied, however I hope that won’t ever happen and I think Mitsuki and towa truly love each other and he makes her happy in ways that aya can’t.
Also I love Reina and rui in this volume and I’m excited to see what unfolds between nana and him. I’ve enjoyed seeing the guys making stuff together for towa and nana and how Mitsuki was able to face what others has to say about her and her relationship with Towa.
Overall it was a filler volume but it was really cute and I got a lot of moments between Mitsuki and towa. Even if they were little I really appreciate them since they are cute and wholesome together.

Overall manga review:

A great series with unconventional yet super fun friendships. The character dynamics were great and there were many hilarious and embarrassing moments.

The romance was well-written but never balanced between the two male love interests. The protagonist clearly loved the main love interest only. The second male love interest, who just so happened to be the protagonist’s childhood friend, was extremely pushy and forceful. His every advance was evaded and unwanted yet he still seemed to think it was okay to pursue the protagonist. At one point she outright told him to stop but due to seem weird aggressive competitiveness between the two male love interests, which likened the protagonist to some possession to be fought over or some game to be won, he continued.

The sports element of this manga was refreshing to see and I liked that it was given just as much importance as the romance. I liked that the games weren’t predictable, but in the end the match that mattered between the two male love interests didn’t at all go to plan in a way that made it all feel so unfinished. I’ll admit it got a bit tiresome seeing all the characters take the basketball so seriously like it was life and death to the point that the protagonist was not only understanding but also expecting the main love interest to love basketball more than her.

Aside from some weird and questionable aspects this was a great and enjoyable shojo romance/sports manga!

I picked this up as part of my continuation of this manga series.
“Waiting for Spring, Vol. 12” continues to follow Mitsuki and Towa as they get closer. The basketball team’s rule about no dating has officially been revoked, and Towa and Mitsuki can have their moment together. But, everyone at school wants to date the basketball team now, especially Towa. Aya might be leaving to return to America to be with his Dad, but he is refusing to tell Mitsuki any solid plans.
My heart is exploding over how happy this volume made me!!! I am SO happy Towa and Mitsuki FINALLY get to be together. Towa continues to treat Mitsuki with so much kindness and respect, and Mitsuki is equally as supportive of Towa.
The plot line with Aya just up and leaving is wild to me. It kind of comes across as a pouting toddler that did not get their way so they are throwing a tantrum. I think he could be a great friend to Mitsuki, but he is running away because he “lost”. I do really love that Towa is trying to get Aya to share with Mitsuki his plans, because he understands how important Aya is to Mitsuki.
That ending had me screaming happy words, and I am dying to pick up volume 13.

I first read this while standing in Indigo, ssshhh! I ended up going back and buying it the following month LOL. It wasn't a series I planned to collect physicals of, but I loved this one so much I just had to go back and buy it. And what an ending! Vol 13 is the last volume and I'm curious to see if the secondary couple (can we even call them a couple?) secondary characters have a HEA!

Aviso: SPOILERS

* Se celebra el cumpleaños de Rui que creo que se ha convertido en uno de mis personajes favoritos de esta saga con diferencia

* Van a despedir a Aya al aeropuerto y este expresa que volverá para intentarlo de nuevo con Mitsuki (¡ugh!)

* Mitsuki y Towa visitan el mini club de baloncesto

* Towa lleva a Mitsuki a su casa y por fin se besan

* Ryuji se le confiesa a Nana-san

Yaaaaaayyyyy! Gosh I love these characters so much. This is (I believe) the penultimate volume of this series and it makes me so sad but also so incredibly happy. I smiled like a cool throughout this whole volume, and really throughout the entire series. One thing I love about this series is the lack of unnecessary drama. I mean, of course there's some drama - but nothing cruel and nothing thrown in just for the sake of drama. The characters genuinely care for each other and the friendships are wonderful. In this volume our main characters *finally* get together after 11 previous volumes of a growing friendship and gradually falling for each other, then a little bit of pining.

One thing I really appreciate is the active choice to have these characters communicate with each other. It was refreshing, and just kept me happy as I was reading it.

The next volume, which I believe is the final volume of the series, will hopefully have a happy ending for not just our main pair but also a secondary character whose crush we've been watching for the whole series (and in fact was the catalyst for our main characters meeting).

5/5. This was a great volume and the series as a whole is one of my recent favorites.

As I mentioned in a review for one of the previous volumes, I’m usually not someone who has many cute couples (especially when they’re so painfully awkward) but these two started to grow on me and they’re just so adorable. They can finally be a couple now and now have to worry about anyone getting in their way. Aya really surprised me with leaving the two to be together and even talking with Towa like they’re friends. Now it’s Ryuji’s turn. It’s crazy how much I started rooting for him to finally be with Nana.

This volume was so cute and fun. Lots of things happened: a continuation of Mitsuki’s confession to Towa, Rui’s birthday, Valentine’s Day, etc. I can’t believe that the next volume is the end of the series and then vol. 14 is bonus stories, it’s bittersweet😊😭

I actually finished this volume a couple weeks ago but I still remember how soft it was. Always enjoy the little bits of interaction between the secondary *cough*yetstillincrediblyimportant*cough* characters, and I think that’s what rounds out the whole series for me. While respectfully I can see why team Aya exists I’m glad Towa got his girl lol. I also personally think Mitsuki is so well rounded and didn’t annoy me much if not at all because her actions were incredibly reasonable and she was very interesting to follow. Overall the “official” ending of this series was very cute and well worth the read.

Even though I'm still heartbroken over Aya (and probably always will be to a certain extent), Mitsuki and Towa make an adorable couple and are genuinely good together. I love how thoughtful they both are, it's just too sweet!

On a side note, I really hope Ryuji can finally succeed in getting Nana to fall for him, he's pretty funny and charming in his own way (although he might be my least favorite of the boys, I still love him though!), so I want to see him happy.

Mitsuki and Towa, you adorable little guys omg I love them so much.

Ryuji 😭😭😭 he better get what he wants or I will RIOT.

A bittersweet volume as the series starts its wind down. Mitsuki made her choice in vol 11, so this one slows down to expand on their lives and the nerves of a new relationship. It's sweet and true to all the characters. This series has been consistent across each book. Volume 13 will be the final book. That makes me so sad! :(

Aww, so cute! <3 Towa's grandpa is such a sweet and loving papa. Hahaha.

Things between Mitsuki and Towa are so cute too, and wow! It's interesting seeing Towa being a touch more forward XD

But seriously?! Volume 13 isn't out yet, and I want to know what happens with Ryuji! At least it's a nice place to stop with Mitsuki and Towa.
