This is an excellent book! It has tons of different Deities and some of their stories from different pantheons. This was one of the best books I've bought in a while.

A broad but fairly shallow overview of major mythologies of the world: Classical, Norse, Celtic, Indian, Japanese, Chinese. Where the book goes into some detail into the Classical, Norse, and Celtic mythologies, it gets rather shallow with the East Asian ones.
The benefit of this book is that the reader is able to reference many major mythologies in a single volume.
I wish all the mythologies presented were treated to equal detail. Nevertheless I thought it was a useful volume in understanding the broad sweep of mythological thought that is often unfamiliar to modern audiences.

Love mythology, in particular norse, greek, and egyptian though this book covers celtic, hindu, asian, about any you can think of.
