When Wanda kills Baldrick Berry, there’s only one place for her to Witchfield Prison.
Being an inmate isn’t much fun – not when Wanda’s the one who arrested a lot of of the prisoners in the first place. And not when two prisoners have died in mysterious ways. Even Witchfield itself has some secrets to be solved.
But when an angry little dog comes to haunt her, Wanda begins to realise that Baldrick’s death wasn’t quite as simple as it seemed.
Wanda must navigate prison life, deal with an angry ghost, and find out the truth. At the same time, she’s discovering new and frightening aspects to her power, and trying to understand her confusing feelings for Will …
A.A. Albright lives in the Irish countryside with her husband.
She loves reading in every genre, but writing cozy mysteries is just about the most fun she's had in a decade.

There are deaths and sinister plots aplenty on Riddler's Cove, and Wanda has the additional challenges of balancing career, education, a relationship, and steadily growing power; however her biggest obstacle could prove to be a mother's love! "Doing Time" is yet another surprise-filled, well-imagined mystery in this series. It's also refreshing to have additional aspects of different characters revealed in each book.. The biggest surprise, though, is how long Wanda managed to hide her head in the sand; fans just know this is going to come back to bite her...!
Our dear Wanda and the Author A. A. Albright have had their hands full. I’m looking forward to book #13. If you’ve been following the story line; I can only encourage you to join us in the next book. I’m really pleased Wanda will be leaving Will in the past where he belongs. ~ Happy Reading!
Yes, Wanda spends time in prison, where naturally she works on solving a mystery, and she manages to learn even more about her life, her abilities, and maybe even achieving balance.
Wanda's magic goes on the fritz and she lands in Witchfield for something she didn't mean to do. While there she sorts out a mystery of how some of the inmates are able to use magic, and why there are murders happening.
I felt so sorry for Wanda - as usual, she was stuck on the wrong end of some pretty shady shenanigans. But she got out of it, as she always does. Even Jacques grew on me in the end.
I love this series. It is light, it is an escape, and it fun to enjoy Wanda’s journey.
This is another quick read that left me with enough mystery to keep the pages turning. I am very particular to one side of this love triangle and while I don’t mind the other, I am waiting with baited breath to know if I will be on the right side of this in the end.
I like that there seems to be another bigger arc for the characters and I can’t wait to see how things shake out.
Easy recommend if you’re looking for something new and that has great writing and wonderful dynamics.
