Shreya's Very Own Style

Rate this book
Though Shreya is a champion on the soccer field, the coolest scientist at her school and dances like a star, she just can't seem to figure out how else to style her hair. After all, how would she explain the patches on her head with no hair at all?

This is a message book about alopecia, a condition that many children will not be familiar with unless they donate their hair to organizations such as Locks of Love (I've done so until my hair became to gray). Shreya is a star at everything she tries but is ashamed and embarrassed about her missing hair. Other than it being unrealistic that she would be the best at anything, it's an excellent book about self-acceptance.

This is a wonderful story that has helped my 4 year old daughter accept and embrace her alopecia. A beautiful story of a smart talented girl who learned to love herself because we are all a little bit different.
This story isn’t just helping my daughter, it’s helping me too.

Shreya has alopecia but that doesn't stop her from doing everything she loves (and being good at it, too).
