The Whiskey Thief: Cyberpunk - Action Packed - Hilarious. Set on the future stage of Jupiter's Satellite Ganymede, it was a joy joining Hen’s fallible crew of bounty hunters through their action, struggles, and evolution. Entertaining through & through, with a depth that I really did not expect. What a ride!

On the surface TWT is seriously action packed and just freaking hilarious, but there are definite layers. Set in a tangible & relatable world (s) where colony corporations set the rules and

This fast-paced dystopian novel held my interest throughout, with intriguing plot twists and detailed character development. With just the right balance of cynicism and humor, The Whiskey Thief has something for everyone. It's a modern-day 1984, with themes that resonate with today's political, economic, and social climate. W.K. Valentine artfully and skillfully holds a mirror up to society with a unique style that allows the reader to really connect with the characters.

I have read a lot of science fiction novels, and after a while, they tend to feel like collections of borrowed ideas. This was not the case with W.K. Valentine’s The Whiskey Thief. It also wasn’t my typical ‘read to get sleepy before bed’ book as it took me through a broad range of emotions, kept my imagination churning, and was actually really funny! I have an EXTREMELY short attention span. Even through this, I still had a tough time putting the book down.

From the very beginning, The Whiskey

“Future Furious” takes place in a time when humans have colonized many of the planets and moons within our own (currently known) solar system, but haven’t gone further than that yet. This particular story takes place on Ganymede, but our characters are in contact with others on Mars, Io, etc.

Government has been replaced by the top five corporations operating across the colonies. The entire culture is dictated by commercialism, advertising,

Future Furious comes at you with a rag-tag crew that just wants to get away from the corporate/government BS that has everyone living like robots in this futuristic novel. After turning a few jobs the crew almost have what they need to escape it all, but after a job gone sideways things change (for the worse, for the better, you choose...). Now they have been unexpectedly handed the key to potentially take down the whole government/corporate system that is in place.

Utterly hilarious and unexpect

I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

The 'Whiskey Thief' is a ragtag ship with a ragtag crew. They live on Ganymede, a hyper-consumerist society. Hen and her crew take on one last job in order to buy a vital part for their spacecraft. However, their client is hiding the truth and the job puts them in the crosshairs of some very powerful individuals. This novel is a very wild ride that will have you laughing and thinking until the end.

A good story about a motley crew.

Generally a good story about a hodge podge group in a sci-fi setting. Interesting background stories on each character that were enjoyable as well as the main plot.
