I picked this book up because I was a former admissions counselor, and I wanted to see how accurate the advice in writing college essays. It was fairly accurate and provided great sample essays on how to approach the Common App prompts and individual school prompts. It’s a short read, and busy high school students and parents can skim this to get the advice that they need to choose a topic, write, and edit essays.
