Camilla and Hunter will have to fight like never before for This Love…
Camilla ran from her hometown and heartbreak as fast as she could. College, with all its promises and dreams, options and open doors, was all she cared about. Doing it with her best friend Emmett was the consolation for walking away.
But her past has followed her into the present yet again—this time, in the form of an unexpected arrival on campus, Hunter Beck.
No matter where she goes, he’s right behind her, reminding her of what they had. What he walked away from. What he won’t let her forget. Worse, her mother and his father can’t seem to leave well enough alone. At every opportunity, Camilla and Hunter are drawn back together, only to pull apart again.
Everything seems to be unravelling, just when Camilla had hoped to start putting the pieces back together.
If she turns her back, she may end up running forever. But if she chooses him, it will be the fight of her life. She knows this is their last chance at happiness.
But if there's one thing she's learned about Hunter Beck—he doesn't leave anything to chance.
Milla and Hunter’s college experience just got a whole lot more interesting with them both on campus together. We get bad decisions , hurtful words and their crazy teenage feelings. I loved this one and binged it in one session.
Definitely looking forward to reading more from this author.
This Lovestarts off the summer after whereThis Hurtended. Though it’s through dual POV, a majority of the story told through Milla’s perspective with a few chapters dedicated to Hunter’s perspective.
Milla is now at her dream school Stanford, alongside her best friend Emmett. She is determined to forget the past and start anew. However that is easier said than done, when she comes to find Hunter her ex-boyfriend (who broke her heart) is attending Stanford too. How is she suppose to move on, when she keeps seeing him around? Leading to constantly thinking about him.
Hunter has come to Stanford for Milla, something she doesn’t know that. But with his family life back home breaking apart and some surprises from his dad, his life seems to be going down in flames. And without Milla in his life, he isn’t handling it well. But how can he change that when Milla won’t accept him for breaking her heart and not trusting her when she needed him too the most?
There is definitely a lot to say about this book in regards to Milla and Hunter. A lot happens in the story to both Milla and Hunter together, but also separately. It was a rollercoaster ride with a lot of twists, turns, drops and loops considering everything that they both go through and have to face.
My heart broke for Milla. I mean it was bad enough that she had already been through hell and back in regards to her past. It was like she could not catch a break, considering all the suffering she endured throughoutThis Love.Something she definitely did not deserve at all. Seeing as she had left everything behind in order to try to start anew. And just when she thought everything was going well, all of a sudden she is faced with heartbreak and a traumatic incident nearly breaking her down completely. But the fact that she picked herself up again, showed her strength in not letting anything keep her down and stop her from continuing on with her life. However, at the same I couldn’t help but get annoyed with her for her stupidity with some of the decisions she made. Especially in regards to Hunter. Love definitely made her blind in not seeing that their relationship wasn’t healthy. Considering all the back and forth, push and pull that they kept doing when together. And how it would always result in her getting hurt no matter what.
As for Hunter, he was amazing, caring and sweet when it came to being there for Milla. You could see he truly loved her. However, at the same time because he had a lot of unresolved issues he would take out on Milla, making him too blind to see what he was doing to her was not healthy. And that he needed to get some serious help. It seemed like he caused more issues for Milla when they were together than apart. Yet he was too selfish to do what was best for her, by leaving her to get the help he truly needed. Though sometimes him being selfish and thinking about himself helped. Especially when it came to saving Milla from a traumatic incident.
I will admit the story became a little repetitive with Milla ruminating over her and Hunter and her feelings towards him constantly throughout. Prolonging the story more than it needed to be. And I wasn’t keen how Emmett and Olivia seemed to have been forgotten through a good chunk of the story. As if they didn’t exist. Only to throw them back in all of a sudden with a little piece from them here and there. Plus there was the fact that there were some questions left unanswered by the end, and so I wasn’t happy about being left hanging like that.
With that all said, overallThis Lovewas still a decent book. With some cute, fun, sweet and romantic scenes that I enjoyed. For which I would still recommend, especially if you have already read the first two books fromThis Boyseries by Jenna Scott. Or if you like super Slow Burn books.
*I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Camilla is finally in a happy place and ready to start fresh at Stanford and leave the past in the past but things change when she finds out Hunter is there too. I enjoyed this series but at certain times I had to shake my head at these two lol
the first book was okay. the second one, not good but this one… oh this one annoyed me.
the relationship was so toxic… really toxic. i hated reading it. i was gonna dnf this book after reading the second one but i decided to read it for the sake of finishing the series. i’m glad that i did finish tbh. i’m glad to find out that they do not change throughout the series at all. Hunter fucks up, they fight, hunter never apologizes, they have sex and they get back together 😒
it annoyed me so much how Camilla forgave Hunter every single fucking time. both times Hunter fucked up. and he NEVER apologized. yet he had the audacity to show up at the college she was attending, still talk shit to her and cherry on top, hangout with a girl at a party. on top of it, even tho he never actually apologized, Camilla always forgave him. she was so… idek how to describe her properly. weak, doormat, whinny, coward. she frustrated me so much.
Camilla confided in Hunter. she told him about what her teacher did even tho it was hard for her to do so, but at the end of the day when another girl says that she was not who he thought she was, he trusts that other person… not Camilla. and Camilla still fucking forgave him. ugh they frustrate me so much. i hate it. i hate this book and i hate this couple.

This is the final book in the This Boy Trilogy which has followed all the ups and downs of Camilla Hanson and Hunter Beck’s relationship. In the first two books they have gone round in circles and struggling with outside influences so I am interested to see if they overcome everything to get their happy ending. Told mainly by Camilla with a few enlightening chapters from Hunter’s POV.
Camilla is at Stanford, looking forward to a fresh start and feeling more like her old self. She confused that after Hunter hurt her so much and believed the worst about her, why she is finding it difficult to forget him. She has always been drawn to him, right from the start and knows she still loves him and realistically always will. Her relationship with her mother is at an all time low. Emmett is at college with her and she is in regular contact with Isabel. Luckily she gets an awesome roommate in Olivia and settles into her classes. However, everything changes the night Olivia persuades her to go to her first college party and Hunter is there. Camilla is furious he is trying to ruin her life again after swearing he would never leave La Jolla and his brother.
“He took my heart, my love, my body, my happiness - and now, he’s taken college from me too. I’ll never forgive him for this.”
They have a few confrontations in class and on a visit home we find out how and why he is at Stanford. It is the situation at home that finally brings them back together. Instead of confronting him over his feelings and intentions towards her - she lets him kiss her! He is so good at erasing her thoughts and making her forget all the bad things about their relationship with just one kiss.
She kept telling everyone that she wanted him to apologise for all he’d put her through. She tells Isabel he apologised profusely to earn another chance but I didn't get that impression, to me it was just a sorry and not a full apology. I wasn’t surprised how quickly she took him back and became his girlfriend again because to me it was a similar scenario to the last book. All her friends know it is Hunter who mucks their relationship up every time but Milla is so hopeful they can get it right this time around. For a strong person who had survived living and looking after her mother all those years, she was very forgiving when it came to Hunter and it seems she is always the one putting her heart on the line.
Throughout the series Hunter has said he can’t risk losing her but he never seems to keep to his word. The author shows us he’s not very confident when it comes to Milla. He is quick to react to things that upset him but slow to admit to what’s bothering him. He is trying his best but in the end resorts back to his usual behaviour and just won’t open up, bottling up all his thoughts and feelings. She tries to persuade him to talk to her especially when they face more problems with his jealousy. He finds it so hard to trust other people around her and he worries about her in certain situations.
“You don’t own me. I’m an adult and I get to make my own decisions about my life.”
The couple end up having to cope with a series of events that put so much pressure on their relationship. Camilla finds herself in a horrifying situation and they continue to have problems with their parents. A surprising event leads to some heartbreaking revelations that threaten to tear them apart and destroy Hunter’s life. Can he overcome the devastation he feels and prove to everyone he can be the man Camilla deserves. Is this the final nail in their relationship? Will she take him back yet again?
‘You always make me feel better, no matter what. You remind me that there are still good things in my life.”
The author ties up the loose ends for the reader as we hear the whole story about Mr Harris and all about Hunter’s mother. She certainly puts this couple through the gauntlet of emotional trauma. Hunter finds it extremely hard to process everything he has found out and reacts in his usual way. His avoidant tendencies and abandonment issues rear their ugly heads again. Camilla is so understanding and it is her love for Hunter that has shone out throughout this series. I do still feel it could have easily been a duet as then all the revelations would have stood out a bit more. The reasons they broke up each time were all very similar and linked to Hunter’s reaction to information other people gave him. That said the ending was sweet and showed the real caring Hunter we all knew he was underneath.

"Life finally feels like it's getting on track. I feel like I have a path."
This is my favourite quote above and yes I use it for all my reviews. Because that line just shows yes he done it Hunter has finally found his path which he never had before.
He had a lot of growing to do and he did a lot of emotional fighting for his little brother Harry (his nickname) to stay in his life AND Harry's mam has 10000% redeemed herself because we learn why she stayed so long with Hunt's dad and recent plaything. I won't spoil his recent plaything but I wasn't surprised ...
Camilla finally living the dream and she is loving life. Her & Hunter did alot of healing and she got her hug for Harry at 4 months apart!
I love the ending and I do want to know if they got a lot of practicing on a certain exercise in the bedroom. AND they helped out taking care of Harry when his mam is on business and she is a better mam to him. Harry is also is another form of practicing for their future but they both took care of Harry alot in this trilogy so I think they are ready for some mini Harry's.....
📚 book one This Boy is currently FREE!
Now if you want a steamy and forbidden love story read this trilogy. OH a adorable little boy called Harrison a.k.a Harry who willet your heart. A character redeemed themselves and we learn a family secret. I read these in 2 days I couldn't stop !!
Family is created with love not blood. Which is why I love this trilogy it has everything for me
As we join our favorite pair we learn that Mila has arrived at her dream school, Standford, and she is thankful to be away from the disaster she called a life back home. She can finally live without her terrible mother breathing down her neck, and she can start to heal the broken heart she is carrying around. Getting away from Hunter was the best thing that could happen really, what he did was unforgivable and being around him daily just reminded her of all she lost.
But then she gets the surprise of her life when the devil himself shows up in one of her classes... Hunter is going to Stanford too! There is no good that can come from this... or could it?
This Love is the final chapter in Mila and Hunter's love story, and what a story it is! These two have faced so much tragedy in their young lives and been dealt their fair share of bad luck. But in this installment they finally get a little good to come their way, not without of course a little more drama! I loved following these two along their journey, it came with many ups and downs, happy moments that touched the heart, a few bad ones that tortured the heart... it was the perfect story of young love! Highly recommend this series, the moment you meet these two you won't want to let them go!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.
We have finally reached the conclusion of Hunter and Camila story! This has been the hardship and breakdowns of falling in love for the first time and finding yourself.
Camila is officially in college, where no one knows her name and were she came from. This is her fresh start, away from Hunter and the destruction he did to her heart. I did not know when or how we would see Hunter again but when we do my stomach sank. He is cruel and angry at everyone but on a mission to win his first love back. Hunter the whole series has been consistent in his behavior, he runs from everything that scares him. Camila is growing up and ready to leave Hunter behind until he can change.
I am so glad I read the trilogy, I am a sucker for the feels, angst and emotions and did Jenna Scott deliver. Mila and Hunter were not perfect people they were dealt a bad hand at life, with absent parents and lost in a world that left them behind. Hunter swooned Mila and provided her the love she needed and wanted but also put her through unbearable heartbreak. Mila was the good girl who gave Hunter more chances than he deserved but saw something no one else did. This was a new adult high school into college romance that shows what falling in love for the first time feels like with the honeymoon phase then the emotional baggage of the other person.
This Love is the third book in the This Boy series by Jenna Scott. This new adult series needs to be read in order.
With this story, we get yet more angst for these Camilla and Hunter. These on again, off again lovers seriously love one another, but continue to face obstacles.
It's ultimately a story of family, standing up for what's right, and love.
The author takes these two through the ringer yet again. Family issues. Self sabotage. Rage. Anger. Jealousy.
The family dynamics in this series are so damn heartbreaking. Yet in the end, I love the way everything is wrapped up.
That said, I definitely wanted to smack some sense into both characters. Camilla is so damn easy to forgive him repeatedly. Ugh! And Hunter's continued stupidity had me steaming at times.
This Love is a great conclusion to Camilla and Hunter's love story. This Jenna Scott read is perfect when you're in the mood for a whole lot of angst in your romance. It's easy to fall into this romance and devour all three books quickly.
I got into Book #3, This Love, and was really invested now, wanting to find out what was going to happen to Hunter and Mila. These two young people clearly love each other in their own way. They just need to figure out how to get past their own insecurities and go for what they want. Easier for Mila it seems than for Hunter. Both of them are hanging onto lots of baggage which keeps coming up and kicking them in the gut. However, eventually, they seem to be working hard to get past it all. Whether they'll make it or not remains to be seen. With each book, I enjoyed the story more and more. Just when I thought they had a chance, things happen and threaten to blow their world apart. I'm thinking Mila handles life a bit better than Hunter, but perhaps he'll catch up to her. Let's hope so! These two make a great pair, if they can only get it together! Ultimately, I have to say I very much enjoyed this trilogy. It's not what I usually read, but in the end it was completely satisfying. Give it a try. I think you're going to like it.
I've waited until the very last minute to write this review because I honestly hate writing anything coming close to negativity in my reviews, but I have to be honest. I've been with this series since the beginning, and I didn't care for Hunter at all, but I kept at it reminding myself he was young, but at this juncture, he has to be developing into something more for me, and he certainly wasn't whatsoever. He's broken Camilla's heart over & over again which has me enraged because he just won't stop. She's finally at a place that she's trying to move forward after the latest heartbreak from our selfish hero, when he shows up at the same college she's attending. And guess what?! He's trying to get her back & she lets him in again, so he ends up hurting her a few more times and now I'm completely over Hunter as there isn't one good thing about him in my eyes so boy bye. And I now have an issue with Camilla for the fact she keeps giving him more chances. Please remember this is only my fiery opinion so I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you decide for yourselves! {3.5 STARS}
I read the entire series. It is my first read from this author. The series is interesting. The series starts with the main f/m character in high school and then in college. The story is well developed, although, at times, the reading is a little tedious and boring. I skipped many paragraphs throughout the entire three books. Hunter has many trust issues; he is possessive, jealous, impulsive, and has a problem managing his anger resulting in the ups and downs of his relationship with Camilla. The story contains lots of angst for the couple. Camilla is a strong and intelligent character that endures several heartbreaking moments in the story. In the entire series, the couple breaks up due to several lies, and then they get together, building a stronger trusting relationship. The chemistry between the two characters is strong, and they gravitate towards each other even during their breakup. It takes several attempts to build a better relationship.
I’ve been back and forth over the past week trying to figure out how to review this book. I’m absolutely torn... Because, while I loved aspects of it, others really frustrated me. What a roller coaster ride!
First, I was heartbroken for Milla. After the ending of book two, I had hopes that she would mope, sort her stuff out, then perhaps work on things with Hunter—you know, after they have had some time to cool down.
What I didn’t expect was for Hunter to go full stalker mode. That was sweet at first glance but now... not so much.
The stuff with the parentals: I wish I could say I didn’t see it coming, but I did. Dad moving on, again? Ha! Doesn’t he always... Mother turning up? Expected, but not quite to the extreme that it did happen. What I didn’t anticipate was the mother of all benders that would finally force Hunter to get his act together.
What I enjoyed? The HUGE secret that Hunter’s mum let him in on. I did NOT see that coming.
The snippets of Emmett we got throughout the book. I was just disappointed we didn’t get more of him. The sweet moments. Those moments that make you forget that Hunter was the biggest jerkface ever. Like when he turned up to surprise Milla. Sure, it didn’t initially go how he probably planned but the intent was sweet.
The moments that made me go “aww”, like the ending. The ending was nice. No doubt about it, I would have enjoyed seeing an extended epilogue of future Hunter and Milla, but it was nice. Oh, and Harry! Though he wasn’t around for much of the book, that guy could thaw the iciest of hearts, so that’s always going to be a plus.
So yeah, there were plenty of things to like, it just missed the mark with me.

Camilla is off to college and trying to move on from Hunter and all the hurt she's endured. So imagine her surprise when she finds Hunter at the same college with her. Hunter isn't ready to give up on Camilla despite her reservations. In this book we finally get all the pieces to the puzzle and see more about the traumas these two have had to carry. Hunter has abandonment issues that have made him react poorly to Camilla but under all of that he is sweet to her and loves her. Camilla has a big heart and soft spot for Hunter. I thought it was a great ending to a great series and delivered characters that were flawed and didn't suddenly magic change their instincts and actions within the span of 1 chapter.
Camilla is finally at Stanford, her dream school. Still trying to give over Hunter . . once again. She's finding her groove, finally goes to a party, only to see . . . . Hunter. He has followed her to Stanford. You know it's only a matter of time before she takes him back again and then you don't have to wait long for Hunter to screw it up. I get that Hunter has abandonment issues, his dad didn't show him enough love, BUT it is still frustrating the way he consistently acts. And Camilla always takes him back! I find myself feeling bad for her friends constantly hearing the same cry story over and over. It's not until the end of the book that Camilla FINALLY gets a back bone and stands her ground. Hunter manages to redeem himself at the end but it was frustrating getting there.
*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to make an honest review for.
Oh boy what a wild ride this last book in the trilogy is! Camilla goes to Standford, her dream school, after all of the craziness that happened in the last book. Things between her and Hunter are over or so she thinks. Determined to move on she tries to make a new life for herself at her new school but things take a crazy turn when Hunter suddenly arrives on campus. Having him there leads to quite the roller coaster as things play out. I waffled between wanting to hit him and hoping he would grow up. Makes for a great romance either way. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.
This feels like a much better written version of the After series. I love these two characters so much after finishing this trilogy. While Milla and Hunter’s love has always been there, it really shone through on this book in particular. Milla is such an admirable character, and I’m so glad Hunter finally got his head on straight because of her. I think what I love most about these two is that, regardless of their individual pasts and all they went through as a couple, they are always there for each other. Throw in a few twists and turns I didn’t see coming, and this was the perfect ending to Hunter and Milla’s story. *I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
I must confess I had a bit of a problem with the first two books. They were just to drawn out there was too much that really wasn’t necessary. I’m happy to say the third book get better. Hunter still has a lot of growing to do. They both need to stop letting other things and all of their baggage to dictate their future together. But in the last and final book Hunter finally gets his act together. I finally got the answers to questions that I was left after the first two books. This book was an excellent young love trilogy.
So, this has to be the most idiotic couple on the face of the earth to continuously keep trying to make something work that obviously was never meant to happen. Between Hunters possessiveness to Milla’s stupidity of taking him back so freaking easily, I was just done with the entire story. What happens to them in their future, whether it works out (which it probably wouldn’t in real life) or they split (which would be the logical thing to do), they get exactly what they deserve. There’s not that much love in the world to deal with his bs, not her idiot mindset.
After 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 finishing this book I really wish I could go back in time and stop myself from even starting this series. I'm trying sooooooo hard (yes the extra O's are necessary) to be kind because I truly liked Milla and wanted her to snap out of her crazy infatuation with Hunter and find someone who could love her without all of the hot and cold selfishness that is Hunter Beck (like her friend Emmett). Oh well, at least Milla has an HEA, I guess. As for me, I think this slow motion drama would have fit perfectly into one boring book.
4.5 ⭐️ wow, after reading the first 2 books I had very minimal expectations for this last book, but this book was just wow. There were soooo many plot twists that I cant even start to comprehend. It was sooo goood. Just wow, i love camilla and hunter, their character development through the whole series really showed in this book and i just am very attached to them. If you haven’t read this series do it just so you can read the last book.
It would've been a nice book imo if Camilla wasn't such a dumbass when it came to Hunter. She warms up to him so fast and so easily before he even apologizes for fucking up with her life. Like, girl, grow some brain cells and stop thinking with your coochie. When she did grew some brain cells, it was a little bit too late for me.
Milla is ready to put OA and Hunter behind her, she worked damn hard to get away from La Jolla and the negativity. Hunter ends up at Stamford as well and they try to work it out because their live was to strong. BUUUUT Hunter can’t help being childish when the tough gets going. Don’t get me wrong he’s super protective of Milla due to past occurrence she had but he sometimes doesn’t think things through.
This book is the third book in this trilogy and the books must be read in order!
Mills and Hunter’s conclusion is a rollercoaster ride just like the previous books. They are in hard situations together as well as in their own life and trying to figure life out at their first year at college. Tons of push and pull and felt some of the issues as well as thoughts did become repetitive but overall still a decent listen.
This love is the third and final book in this series, and I loved every word of this story. This series was so well written with wonderful characters. It has love, angst, struggles, and an HEA that will put a smile on your face and a warmth in your heart. I look forward to reading more stories by Jenna Scott.
I don’t know what happened. While I loved the other two books in the series this one just didn’t do much for me. Most times I felt that the two characters Camilla and Hunter were so childish that I couldn’t get passed it.I did enjoy the story but more as a total series this last book just wasn’t for me. I’m more excited to see who is Emmitts secret hook up than anything else. Hopefully he gets his book and it’s a m/m.
I absolutely loved this series. Camilla is a strong female lead and I loved watching her journey. Hunter had so many emotions and as hard as it was to watch him struggle, it was heartwarming to see how Camilla helped him through. I give the final installment 4 stars just because I do feel it was a little rushed in parts.
The last book of the trilogy following Camilla and Hunter. Mila gets to Stanford only to find Hunter there as well. So it seems she left one nightmare for another. After leaving home to deal with her heartbreak she finds Hunter at college with her. Angsty? You bet. Can Hunter and Milan heal their relationship? Only time will tell
