What I love about the book “Make Your Portraits Magic” by Jake Garn is that it doesn’t make you anxious about the technical aspects of photography. It inspires you by showing you great examples of photos, and not by overwhelming you with lessons that can get in the way of learning photography by heart.

It is not that this book isn’t filled with technical know-how, for it is brimming with information that can help those who want to learn more about photography. But it can simplify the knowledge yo

After 15 years as a Photographer, this book managed to reignite my love of light!

This book was a joy to read, to say the least... Almost all of the lessons I've learned over the last 15 years (Before and after college and on-the-job) were displayed in an aesthetically pleasing and easy to digest format. The illustrations for each section are quite effective in solidifying the concepts firmly in my imagination. The flow of information from front to back cover is very cohesive and easy to remember

I put this book together to give you creative control of your camera in the simplest way possible! I want you to pick it up and be inspired to get out and SHOOT! Twelve lessons, shooting assignments, featured photographers from history and hundreds of whimsical fashion examples from me will hopefully give you the inspiration you need to get out and shoot on your own! Not to toot my own horn but how can I not review my own book to spice up my feed! :)

Very well written guide to photography. It includes great tips, short history lessons, and assignments. Accompanied with beautiful photography, graphics that explain technical aspects of photography and also editing tips.
Great book for those who are just starting the adventure as a photographer.
