Truncated story, but little kids who enjoy watching Scooby-Doo cartoons will also probably enjoy these stories/adaptations of the popular TV show. The vocabulary can be a bit out of range for beginning readers, but would work just fine for a read-aloud.

The ending didn’t make a lot of sense. Rorry Raggy.

I personally have never watched the cartoon that this is based off of, but my special needs son has and as I was reading this to his brother he was 'listening' as he played and even he didn't like it that much. In summarizing the story the author left out quite a bit so the story was very 'choppy' and at times you didn't really know 'why' something was happening because they had left out important details. But my two special needs sons are hard core Scooby fans so they both were glad I read it to them but they didn't get 'excited' like they normally do with other Scooby books.

This is a fairly typical Scooby-Doo story, taking the gang to Japan. It's a short picture-book adaptation/tie-in to the animated movie that bears the same title. We enjoyed reading it together, as much as all of the Scooby-Doo stories we read.
