I appreciate the ornamental options this book presents, but I was surprised that the “best” garden plants for Oklahoma didn’t include any fruits and veggies. I’ve been growing plants in Oklahoma for over a decade and know there are numerous plants that are amazing in Oklahoma that add both the ornamental and edible elements that were not included. For a future edition, including a section that dives into fruit and veg options would take this book to the next level, and encourage readers to consider including edible plants in their landscape.

Looks pretty good! I just wanted to check on a couple of things, but even a quick look-see reminds me that I want to plant chives. And I suppose I could do mint as a ground-cover, but I'm not sure if the neighbor would be pleased (aggressively naturalizing). Maybe Vinca, maybe Moneywort aka creeping Jenny (L. nummularia).
