This is Fallon's story, she is Remy's best friend and this story takes place alongside Remy's and follows the same time line. I found this a bit weird at first but also I had lots of moments where I was like ahhh so that's what happened or that's how it happened. This could be read as a standalone but like I said a lot of things made sense after reading the shadow walker saga first. I found this to be just as addictive as Remy's story. Fallon is completely different to Remy though and I think the author did well writing her so she stood on her own as an individual. The rest of the characters that we knew from the shadow walker series make an appearance and I grew to love colt a bit in this book. This being part of a series you know there is definitely more to come from this crew and I for one, cannot wait for the next instalment.

Witches curse: The shadow weaver is amazing. The love between friends, family, lovers and captures is amazing! Fallon is a great character with so much growth! All of these characters make you love them, each of their stories keeps you interested. From start to end I had no idea what was going to happen. Sloane has way with her writing that makes you feel like your in it . So many levels to this book!!! I highly highly recommend giving it a read.

🌟🌟🌟🌟💫

Witch’s Curse takes place during the same time as the middle of the Shadow Walkers Saga series. A lot of this book is seeing what goes on during the other series, but from the POV of Fallon and Colt. This gives you so much more insight into what was going on with Fallon at this time. You knew something wasn’t completely right, but this series is where you really find out what was going on.

I love seeing the story from another viewpoint, especially when you see what all has been going on with Fallon. I couldn’t even wait to start the second book, I had to go into it right away!

This is a spin off from the shadow walkers and it is Fallon and Colt's story.

It can be read as a standalone new series but if you have read all the Shadow Walker series you will find that as you read Fallon and Colt's story it is in the same timeline, so for that i kind of new what was going to happen as i read this, but there is elements of Fallon and Colt that we didn't get to find out which i loved.

Really looking forwards to more from this series as we follow this couple, as i am very interested to find out where Fallon's love interest is going and what is going to happen next. For all you pnr lovers this series is going to be epic i just know it as Sloane's story telling is second to none.

Witch's Curse by S. Murphy is book one in her new Shadow Weaver Serial.
I started reading and I was like, oh I know this character from The Shadow Walker Saga.
This is Fallon and Colt's story.
Fallon is Remy's best friend, a powerful witch and she crushes rather hard on her brother, Colt.
Colt is a Hunter, like all men in his family and they live by their own code. And that includes not a relationship to the local coven. Colt is proud of his heritage, set in ways, stubborn. He refuses Fallon, but at the same time he needs her.
This first book is a fast paced, action packed read, the introduction to the Shadow Weavers.
Just like Remy's story, I loved meeting the bold strong heroine, the scorching scenes, the fantastic storyline. A great read, 5 stars.

A brilliant start to what I can already tell is gonna be an amazing series!

Witches curse is book one in the shadow Weaver series and focuses on Fallon, it can be read as a stand alone but does link into the shadow walker saga.

I loooooove the shadow walkers saga and being able to see things from fallon and colts point of view was brilliant! So many times did I wonder, what was that look for or how did fallon cope with that? Whilst reading remys story's it's so nice to get to hear fallons story and see her thoughts and feelings.

Then theirs Colt, boy do i love him as a character, he's definitely got a way with words and other things 😉🤣

This book is a brilliant start to a new series with crossovers from our favorite characters and a different view. I can't wait to read the next book!

I have loved the Shadow Walker world since I first met Remy, but with everything we knew about Fallon’s story I couldn’t wait for Witch’s Curse to be released! I was able to take this book slow since I already knew the main outcome from the Shadow Walker books, but wow Fallons story is so complex! There were a couple “repeat chapters” as we had gotten a few small glimpses Of her POV in Remy’s books. I wasn’t bothered by this one bit as it is so integral to knowing Fallon and her emotions! Definitely brings to light some questions I had about what she was doing and how things could possibly have gotten so crazy in Shadow Walker books 4 and 5. I cannot wait for the next book in this series to see her side of The story, but I also want to know where this takes her next!

I love when authors honor the other characters from previous books and give them their own story. This is the first of the new saga, The Shadow Weaver #1-Witch's Curse. Fallon is a daringly strong female witch who was friends with Remy in the Shadow Walkers Saga. Fallon is faced with the undeniable attraction to a hunter, Colt, who does everything in his power to ignore their chemistry. Fallon must face her fate while trying to piece herself together and fight like hell.
Will Colt and Fallon come out of this renewed or destroyed?
A compelling story that will have you waking up in a cold sweat and anxious for more.

Ok, well...

I was really curious about Fallon's story, but I didn't expect her story to happen at the same time as the main plot.

The most annoying thing was that I knew what will happen next. Like, I had the spoilers from myself, and that's soo annoying! I was expecting this to only be a bit of the book, like a reminder, but nope, it went on and on and on. And it'll probably go on for the next book as well...

But anyway, I am curious about Fallon, so I'll go on with the series.

I loved Fallon during Remys journey in the Shadow Walkers saga and I cant wait to find out more about hers.

Fallon is an amazing person and that comes across sooo much during this book. She was used as a pawn a war between the factions or so theu believe, and tortured by demons. However she grow to have feeling for these demons, Stockholm syndrome maybe, maybe not but that's explored through this book and I'm betting further through the rest of the sags.. I literally can't wait to find out where her heart goes.

The depth that we get to know Fallon on is brilliant, her internal monologue is brilliant and really helps develop her character.

This is such an exciting saga, I cant wait for more

Fallons point of view is everything I didn’t know I needed

So as I started this book out I really struggled with experiencing things from Fallons point of view and I found myself mentally rushing through it because I was recalling so much of Remy’s story as I read. Once I got over myself I was able to enjoy Fallons point of view and really experience her as the leading lady. Loving this addition to the Shadow Walkers Universe!! I can’t wait for the continuation of her story, we definitely got some questions answered about what was going on with Fallon and an appreciation for her and Colt.

Yes Sloane!! You keep me hooked lady.

The first part of the story is a brief  recap of A Crown of Blood and Bone #2 (Shadow Walkers Saga) which I suggest you read first to get a full background of the story as well as the characters profiles (Hunters, witches, demons). You will definitely be hooked!
The second part is Fallon and Colt's journey. Fallon has been kidnapped and taken to the realms of h*ll. Tortured by Az and Deacon until she makes a deal. One that will be a witch's curse.
Colt has the weight on his shoulders of not only being a new elder but with his love being kidnapped and his brother a traitor.
Remy and her harem also appear in this story as well as the Queen and her harem.
The Shadow Walkers Saga and the Shadow Weaver  Series will both keep you so intrigued that before you know it you have devoured the story craving more. They do end in cliffys but so worth the wait!

I haven't read the previous books in the shadow world and i had some difficulty understanding some things and following up on other but still i absolutely loved this book.
The story was interesting and new and all the characters were beautifully written.
i loved the world building and all the sups that we met through out the story with slightly a preference to the demon world!
I truly can't wait to read more of this story and am absolutely going to delve into the previous books!

Bow down, witches!

What an amazing book to use for my first ever review! This was a thought out, steamy, drama full read that surprised me in more ways than one! Sloane really knows how to step outside of the very well established witch book box with a new twist. That was one of the best parts of this book for me because a solid concept truly is half of the battle.

*Spoilers*

To begin, I really enjoyed Colt and Fallon’s reverse roles. You would typically expect a witch to be the immortal, but Sloane decided to flip the script. Not only that, but she made immortality with a price. I’ve never thought about a hunter being able to be immortal and have an almost god like rebirth process. It was an amazing concept start to Witch’s Curse that drew me into the character development almost immediately. I expected that our main characters wouldn’t be able to be together due to their backgrounds, but I was surprised again by the introduction of Remy who truly blew that out of the water.

Remy may not have been the main female lead for this story, but having her around to add to the depth of the two main characters made the story that much more enjoyable. Colt was able to move on from his old ways of thinking thanks to his sister and her incredible group of men. I have never read another book that hosted a character with a reverse harem and the main character doesn’t have one, so I liked the unique new take.

The reverse harem with Colt’s sister almost made me focus more on the development Colt went through to be worthy of Fallon. It made Colt more of a likable character for me after his serious tantrum with Fallon and Remy. His personal reflection moments were very powerful and spoke to bigger world problems.

Besides Colt/ Fallon’s relationship, the relationships between Fallon/ her mother/ sister were beautifully depicted. I loved the fact that Fallon’s mom was not only her role model, but also a regular ally. It seems in most witch stories that a powerful mom equals a huge ego combined with child neglect or the cold shoulder act. So it was a wonderful to see a powerful witch mother trying to help her children in every way possible. It enriched the story with a beautiful family bond.

My only real qualm I had with this book was dropping new plot points faster than expected. The twists and turns were incredible, but were resolved very quickly. However even with the speedy resolutions, I really enjoyed the story.

Overall I would recommend this book because it opened up a new world of possibilities for witch novels, which is not an easy feat. That’s exactly why I captioned this review “bow down, witches” because Sloane is coming for the witching community to reveal all their deepest secrets. Truly a wonderful read and thank you to Sloane/ her team for this awesome new series!

*** note, you really should read all the previous books starting with a Crown of Blood & Bone. This book has spoilers to the Shadow Walkers Saga featuring Fallons bestie , Remy, and her family of Hunters.

I really love that Sloane Murphy shows her readers a different POV from the Remys books.

Fallon is a powerful witch who's full potential hasn't been revealed yet.

I'm completely sucked into this series and can't wait for the next book on audio!

David Black is newish to me and I like his voice for this series.
Elise Hoffman though?? That girl stole the show!! I'm girl crushing on her amazing voice ability and allllll the accents! She's a 1-woman show who could've easily voiced all the characters in this book. I am, however, thankful that it's a dual narration because David's voice as Colt?? H.O.T!!

Lots of drama in this fantasy but still somehow boring
3 stars overall, 3 stars story, 4 stars narration

This book reads like an angsty New Adult urban fantasy, and only about 20% of it is romantic. Judging from other books in the larger Seven Realms series (this is book 7 in it) by this Sloane Murphy, this book is probably the first in the “Shadow Weaver” trilogy in which the heroine acquires 3 or 4 male love interests over time. This novel is told in first person present tense mostly from the perspective of the witch heroine Fallon and about 30% from the perspective of her love interest Colt. The book contains lots of drama but somehow still seems boring. It also ends on a cliffhanger. Trigger Warning Note: the book contains some bloody violence, torture, and PTSD.

I have several issues with this book. First, the book doesn’t seem necessary to have been written because it is rehashing the plot of Remy’s Book 1 (and maybe books 2-4 as well) in the Seven Realms series. I think just get a few new plot points experienced by Fallon, Remy’s best friend. This book contains plenty of spoilers for Remy’s books. The only other book in the larger series that I have read is “The Shadow Queen” (Book 10), and I gave that book 5 stars. That Shadow Queen Book is totally worth reading, unlike this one.

My second issue with this audiobook is the character of Colt and how obnoxious the male narrator David Black makes him sound (a 3-star performance). Colt is an arrogant paranormal “Hunter” with tattoos and a tongue piercing. He knew Fallon had feelings for him for years, but he still dumped her after their first one-night-stand. He is self-absorbed, callous, and spews 4-letter words with annoying frequency because he has a limited vocabulary. Colt definitely did not deserve Fallon’s love. In addition, the narrator David Black made Colt sound more obnoxious than he had to be. Also, Colt had lived all his life in New Orleans, but the narrator gave him no trace of a southern accent. I ended up skipping Colt’s chapters, and it worked out well.

I did enjoy a few things about the book. I do love Fallon and how the female narrator Elise Hoffman performed her voice and thoughts (a 5-star performance). Elise Hoffman appropriately gave her a New Orleans or East Texas accent since Fallon is the daughter of a famous witch in New Orleans. Fallon used curse words occasionally in reasonable situations. The narrator speaks fairly slowly, so I listened at 1.2x speed. Later on in the book, Fallon got on my nerves a little bit because of her inaction about something. The cliffhanger did leave me curious about Fallon’s future, and I might read the rest of the trilogy.

I requested and received a free audiobook code from the #Flock group, and I voluntarily wrote this honest review. #Flock, #AudiobookObsession

Woah (I think I'm just a rambling shocked mess.)

Okay first things first....

I wish this book would've come out after B did ************ and M comes and ******* Remy (I REFUSE TO SPOIL ANY OF ANYTHING MUAHAHAHA) So ideal reading order for my little corazonzito is Shadow Walkers saga 1-4 and then this and then I'm going to assume all the drama to unfold in this series simultaneously with books 5 & 6?

This book was weird and bittersweet and ughh and pffttt... I don't think I have woooorrrdddsssss.

Okay for real though. It kind of sucked that a lot of it was just recaps of books 1-4 in the Shadow Walkers Saga with a twist a la Fallon. because some ecenes just felt like big ol repeats.... BUUUUUUTTTT I get it... Someone who picks this up and has never read Shadow Walkers Saga needs to know how tf we ended up where we are with Fallon. And for those who have finished the Shadow Walkers Saga there are things we know that we can't unknow and now we have answers to some things that couldn't be answered from Remy girls point of view. The start of Fallons story though feels a little "thrown together" (I have no other phrase to describe it but I also feel its not that so quotations) Since she knows the existence of everything none of the xreatures are explained like in Shadow Walkers. Which may throw a new reader when trying to understand who the Hunters, Dracula, Lucas, Angel's and Demons are as a bigger picture. Would've loved to see some things early on that we didn't see from Remy girl, luke knows Fallon doesn't use Uber is a great added tidbit. But don't get me wrong there are so many more added tidbits there were just things here and there that felt like they weren't too important to Fallon and we could've lived without in this book, like fully going into retrieving memories for Remy. But it was cool seeing what she did while L was trying to get Remy back from *******.

you don't HAVE to read both series together which i enjoy but holy ******** does it give things a new meaning. I can't wait to reread everything once there is more to the Shadow saga.

Colt.... *fans face* THAT QUESTION STILL HASNT BEEN ANSWEREDDDDD GGRRRRRR *jumps around excited like and then throws tantrum* i am still so curious about that friggin dream. will we ever know whyyyy? 🙈

Azriel.... Grrrrrrrrr seeing those interaction with him and Fallon. Boy oh boy. but that twist.

Deacon, Deacon, Deacon. I am still in a weird place about him. But knowing what I have seen from this story I no longer see him as bad as I used to.

I can't wait to see where Fallons heart takes her overall.

Our little Shadow Weaver is just as important as our Shadow Walker.

World Building: In paranormal books, I like to take time to look at the building of the world and the paranormal creatures/culture that the author builds. Sloane Murphy did a great job of creating the culture between the witches, demons, hunters, and the rest of the crew. I felt like this was an important part of this book because Murphy could have easily relied on the other portion of the series to do this for her and required readers to have read that before this series. I think great authors, like Murphy, take the time to continue to flesh out the world in each book regardless of where it falls in the series.

Characters:

Fallon: I really liked her and felt that she had good depth. Her sass was fun to read and I liked that despite her hardcore crush on Colt, she didn’t cave to him. I appreciate when authors write characters that don’t begin to blend together. Remy, Fallon’s best friend, does not feel the same as Fallon, which can be a difficult thing to keep throughout a series. Fallon has her own goals and motivations just like Remy has her own ideals.

Colt: I loved to hate him only to love him. He drove me nuts at the beginning, but he grew on me over time. I liked that Murphy added in the reincarnation element to immortality. I feel like this is something that we do not see often in books with these themes. I also think that Murphy’s overall development through the book of Colt allowed me to move from disliking him initially to actually feeling like he was someone I could enjoy seeing our FMC loving.

Relationships:

Of course we have our relationship between Colt and Fallon, which was spicy and I can’t wait to see more of, but the time that Murphy spent fleshing out the relationship between Fallon and her mother and sister was time well spent. It felt real and did not leave me feeling like it was a stale representation of a family. She gave them life and made the mother/daughter relationship feel like the real relationship most mothers have with their kids as they grow older: a friendship and a partnership.

Fallon and Remy, sometimes I feel like Fallon forgot herself trying to help Remy at times, but I love Fallon’s devotion to those she cares about, and this relationship really plays on that.

I’ll be so impatiently waiting for the next book!

So I wasn’t sure what to expect on Fallon’s spinoff story from the main series with Remy and her guys. I did enjoy it and it made me love some of the characters even more than I did in the original series. I will say a good amount was repeated, which is why I didnt give it 5 stars. I mean I understand why but it did make some spots slow because we already went through some of that already (like same POVs as before). I did like getting some insight into some of the other perspectives, more insight with Fallon with her time in the Shadow Realm, with her relationship with Deacon. I liked the additional passenger (if you know you know haha) and hope the group can help Fallon with that issue in book 2. I am so nervous getting to the devastating part from the original series but I have that to look forward to in book 2 haha. I cant wait for more Deacon and more steam with Fallon and Colt. I loved seeing their back story and Colt being her support and fighting for them once he got his head on straight. So adorable, their love story ❤️

I really enjoyed the female narrator, I dont think I have listened to anything by her before. She did a fabulous job with Fallon’s accent. I would give her 4-4.5 stars. I was not a huge fan of the male narrator a lot of the time, so I would give him 3.5 stars (overall the narration for the audiobook I would give 4/5 stars). I think for me he was too whiney for Colt sometimes, when he did other accents it wasnt the strongest or again felt more whiney. I think what got me in this one was some of the side characters accents changed quite a bit throughout the audiobook (big example would be Kain). I would have thought the author and team would have given them feedback to try and keep to the accent in the 1st three books in Remy’s series, to try and be consistent). Overall good narration, would still listen to the rest of the series when they eventually come out.

Gonna dive into book 2 on ebook since audio isn’t available since I want to get to Morgan and the next generation audiobooks (It is a little frustrating which audiobooks are available vs not, since the author provided a recommended reading order and that means some of the newer audiobooks are super far down the list. Still enjoy this world, just wish I was a faster reader haha.

This spin off of the of the Shadow Walkers series, follows Fallon and Colt’s story, that will bring their growing love for each other to the fore ground. It has been a long-standing rule that hunters only marry another hunter because of their reoccurring life cycles, while witches are humans with magical abilities within that one life span. Other creatures, vampires, werewolves, angels, demons and the like are immortal. In spite of this, Colt finds himself drawn to the witch Fallon, his sister Remy’s best friend and may not be willing to adhere to the Hunter’s hard and fast rules any longer.
Remy’s memories, too, are beginning to flood in from her previous lives, such as her love of the Vampire King Kain, the Alpha Roman and more. She is more than simply a hunter with strong fighting skills and knowledge. A tattoo is blending with her hunter mark that shows a bond with an Angel. Her powers are growing and changing. Remy’s life is about to alter drastically and with it so with it, so too will the realm in which the hunters, witches, angels, demons and other creatures live. War is coming, for there are those who would rule over all factions on Earth and tie them to the Shadow realms. There will be sides chosen, stands taken and changes in the hunter’s leadership, actions and rules. As Remy’s abilities become known and sought after, Fallon has been captured and taken to a much darker realm of demons to bring about Remy’s compliance in the up coming struggle for power. And it won’t end here.

Sloane Murphy, the author, has suggested that the reader begin with the Shadow Walker series, since this tale is a continuation of the series with more background information. This dark tale ends many lives and gives life to greater evil. It is full of action, while some of it happens off the pages of the book, there is enough to carry the reader forward. This is simply the first in a new series that will further the stories begun in the Shadow Walkers series. If you enjoyed the Shadow Walkers tales, this should certainly be a follow up. Just be warned, you will be caught. Watch the shelves of your favorite bookshop for the tale to continue in other volumes.

WOW WOW WOW! I don't think I even need to say anything else. But I will, lol. This was incredible, I had some doubts when I first started because while I absolutely love having multiple POVs in books/series, I was worried about redundancy, repetition, or just a general sense of feeling bored because I knew what would happen. But trust me when I say that I could not have been more wrong with those worries. This was a fantastic read, I absolutely loved getting to read from Fallon and Colt's perspectives and get fully immersed in their emotions and thoughts. This book is an absolute must read, the plot is fantastic, there's great character development, and it leaves you desperate for more. Fallon and Colt have feelings for each other, but aren't supposed to act on them, as they belong to separate factions, and one of the most absolute laws is no mixing of the factions. The whole forbidden romance trope is obviously a bit cliche, but in the context of this story and within this world, it never felt overdone or tired. This whole world that Sloane Murphy has created is a fresh take, with fantastic action and development, and characters that I love dearly. I either want to be them, or be with them, haha. With witches, angels, demons, and everything in between, there is something for everyone and you will not be left disappointed. One last note, I would HIGHLY recommend reading the first book of the Shadow Walkers Saga, A Crown of Blood and Bone. That is mostly from Remy's POV (among others), and transpires over the same course of time as this, but it made reading this so much more satisfying. So it is technically able to be read as a standalone, but do yourself a favor, and just read A Crown of Blood and Bone first, you won't regret it!

After completing The Shadow Walker Series by Sloane Murphy I was filled with many different emotions ranging from....YAY...Remy and the guys got a happy ending to...nooooo....poor Fallon! So when I got the chance to read Fallon's story you better believe I was all over it.

Witch's Curse overlaps the story line of The Shadow Walker Series so we don't get the happily ever after, but we do get to delve into Fallon's mind and learn the extent of what she went through. She went through a serious mindscrew. We find her left questioning her strength and her sanity. The thing is, Fallon is stronger than she gives herself credit for and I look forward to when the strong powerful Fallon comes out to play because she is going to own it.

My heart was already broken from some of the events in the Shadow Walker Series and hearing Fallon's side has me so 💔😢 I really hope that Sloane has something up her sleeve with this series because I NEED certain things to work out.

I was reminded of Mireya's dream about Colt and I hope we get more to that story moving forward.

Like Fallon I'm like 🤯🤬 about Azriel and Deacon, I feel like I'm supposed to hate them but Sloane wrote them too well and I can't, I find myself rooting for them in addition to Colt. Deacon, had some redeeming traits upfront but Azriel, evil as he is just gives me this vibe that makes me feel for him. I'm in for the long haul because I NEED all the answers and I want Fallon to have her happily ever after.

I've never read a story that had me actually rooting for the "bad guys" but I want the happy ending for Deacon and to know how it plays out for Azriel. Haha.

Can't wait for Hunter’s Heart! If you haven't started this Saga yet you are missing out...go start them...like now! 😉😘

Fallon -Witch. Colt- Hunter one wants to follow their heart ,the other wants to follow his faction.
Remy, Fallon's best friend, is joined by her past lives lovers that have ended up all in the same city in this current life. Creek, Kain, Roman and Leviathan.
Remy and her men go to the shadow realm to save her best friend. Colt has to decide between rules of the hunter faction that have been ingrained for many lives and what his heart wants. Archer has brought the rogues together as his army and is fighting against the hunter faction that he should be loyal to. Bauer is caught up in the middle, he tried to help fix things even if it was too late.
I am excited for the continuation of the shadow weavers series with the next book.
If you didn't read shadow walkers book "A Crown of Blood and Bone: Dark Fantasy Paranormal Romance (The Shadow Walkers Saga Book 1)" take the time to read this for more background information on all the characters we have grown to love.
Thank you Sloane for letting me be a part of this ARC reading. I am excited for the next chapter in this story. Be sure to watch for "Hunter's Heart: Part of the Shadow Walkers Saga (The Shadow Weaver Book 2)"
If you like books by Jaymin Eve, and Stephanie Hudson you will love this.

Fallon is a witch, the daughter of a high priestess and the heir to one of the covens who rule all witches. Witches are just one of the factions of the supernatural world. What makes Fallon different from the other witches is that her magic hasn’t fully come in yet, and that all of her friends are Hunters, including her best friend, Remy. The factions aren’t supposed to mix, which is why Fallon’s friendships are considered odd. Plus, she is undeniably attracted to Remy’s older brother, Colt... another Hunter. Determined not to give Colt his way ever again after he tells her that witches and Hunters could never be, Fallon does her best to avoid Colt as much as she can. When things go down, and something happens with Remy, Colt’s eyes are opened, and the only thing he can think of is getting Fallon back. But before he can make much progress, Fallon runs into trouble of her own.

This book was sooooooo good! My first book by Sloane Murphy, but it definitely won’t be my last! Fallon is exactly the kind of heroine I like, smart, sassy, the kind of woman who won’t take anyone’s attitude. Colt has his faults, yes, but I believe that he has a good heart. I loved this book, would definitely recommend!!!

I received a free copy of this book from the author, and am voluntarily leaving a review.
