This is a fascinating look at René's life prior to his discovery of Céline Dion and then the whirlwind that became their lives. It was interesting to see how different life events shaped him to become the manager that he was. Intelligent and perceptive, he was also very controlling of everyone and everything surrounding his protégé, to the point of even manipulating the media. However, what he accomplished as a manager was quite impressive.
