What did I just read? I picked this story up because of the logo - "Down & Dirty". The pin-up girl with a mop and broom is something I didn't expect. Reading the blurb, I thought, why not. Looks interesting. What I didn't realize is that this is book 4 in the series. Whilst it probably would be better to read the first 3 books, diving into book 4 is fine.
First warning, if you don't like cliffhangers, don't read this book. Maybe wait until the series is done. For those who don't mind cliffhangers, continue on! This book is ridiculously wacky. I cannot even begin to list all the weird messed up things that happened in this book. Second warning, if you prefer your romances or paranormal more serious and angsty, this book is not going to do it for you. There is drama, but it isn't what I would consider dark and brooding.

Oh my gosh! This book was so good! Any of the issues I had with the earlier books were pretty much null and void when it came to this one and I think it’s safe to say this is my favorite by far! I love the characters, the sass and wit, and who doesn’t love a supernatural sex cult?

Together We Come is a sex cult that believes humans and supes can over come their differences if they just bang it out. There is something about cults that I find endlessly fascinating. So when Paige is hired to go undercover at Together We Come, all I could think was….

description

Cue the innuendos, giant vibrators, and a stuffed dalmanther God, and once again I find myself struggling to sleep in lieu of continuing to read this book.

We get to see some real growth in Paige throughout this book, with her starting to come to terms with the fact she doesn’t have a ‘normal’ life and that it isn’t necessarily a bad thing. And I loved getting to see more of Nico in this book. It was one of my biggest criticisms of the earlier books, so I am happy that we got to see the two of them together and see more of the chemistry between them!

I am new to the Down & Dirty Supernatural Cleaning Services Series having never read any of the previous titles. I decided to take a chance on The Lying, the Witch, and the Werewolf when it was offered up by the BookSirens for review. I had planned on spending this weekend watching Disney+ watching Loki but instead I found myself so wrapped up in this book. Oh my gosh folks! I could not stop LAUGHING!!!

Where to begin… Let’s start with Paige. She’s human in a supernatural filled world. Cleaning is her business and she is darn good at it. Too bad she has a few issues going on in her life. She had to turn her boyfriend into a vampire or let him die, so he broke up with her. She shares an office with Nico, a sexy werewolf PI and gets mistaken for his secretary. Let’s not forget VSK – vampire serial stalker – that is still after her. How much more can get thrown her way! How about when Nico calls in a favor for her to go undercover at the supernatural cult, Together We Go, Together We Come, who promotes bringing humans and supes together...in bed. HAHAHAHAHA!!!! At least she gets to take her beloved dalmanther, Sh!t, with her.

It was darn near impossible for me to put this book down. Paige and the situations she found herself in were a complete riot! It all starts a clean-up job after a vampire birth, which had me smiling. Followed by a hard shove into the deep end of hysterics when Nico inadvertently opens a package meant for Paige: one bright purple Thunderstick. Tears folks, I am laughing so hard I am crying. It just gets better from here. Now she is tasked with going undercover to find the sister of a worried client who thinks she is being held against her will at a supernatural cult, sorry – retreat. If only it was so easy because the main goal of Together We Go, Together We Come is to bring supes and humans together, literally. Anything goes so long as there is consent, including clothes.

Snark, embarrassing situations and crazies all around make The Lying, the Witch, and the Werewolf a hard book to put down. I am completely hooked and am dying to find out what happens next for Paige!

Stars: 5
I received this book from BookSirens. I was not compensated for the book other than the entertainment it provided. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Paige Harper is not in a good place. She’s lost most of her clients, her office burnt down and her human boyfriend is now a vampire! Unfortunately it was Paige who injected vampire blood into him to save him from dying completely (?). The problem is that he begged her not to do it as he hated all vamps and now he won’t have anything to do with her. The one bright spark seems to be that her cleaning business is starting to pick up in the supernatural world because of her actions that have saved many supes’ lives and which have been publicised in Friendbook. Since she has previously been anti-supe because their arrival meant the loss of her parents, she is somewhat conflicted by this.
Her loss of her office has temporarily been solved by her neighbour, Nico, who is a werewolf. They are now sharing an office.
The chemistry between these two is off the charts but Nico is such a womaniser that Paige wants nothing to do with him! To make matters worse, she’s always finding herself being caught in embarrassing situations by him.
So, as I said, Paige is not in a good place. So, imagine her surprise when a man rushes into the office wanting to hire her as a PI! Apparently he’s worried about his sister who went to a retreat and hasn’t come back. He wants Paige to go undercover to make sure that she is safe. The retreat is called “Together We Go, Together We Come” and promotes the idea that humans and supes can work out their differences by coming together, literally. The question is whether it really is a retreat or a cult!
Nico steps in and persuades Paige to do it. So that’s how Paige finds herself in a retreat where everyone walks around with little to nothing on and any kind of sex is acceptable as long as everyone consents. Talk about embarrassing! She quickly discovers that Vicky, the sister, is there of her own free will but that something is not quite right. At least she is able to take her pet Dalmanther, Shit, with her since the leader of the retreat reveres them as deities!
Is this another case of Paige being in the wrong place at the right time! Will she save the world again? I have to say that I really enjoy this series.

The Lying, the Witch, and the Werewolf (Down & Dirty Supernatural Cleaning Services Book 4) by Kate Karyus Quinn, Demitria Lunetta, and Marley Lynn
Publisher: Little Fish Publishing
Genre: Paranormal Romance, Supernatural Comedy, Urban Fantasy, Paranormal Mystery, and Novels
Release date: March 9, 2021

The Lying, the Witch, and the Werewolf is the fourth book in the Down & Dirty Supernatural Cleaning Services series by Kate Karyus Quinn, Demitria Lunetta, and Marley Lynn and is my current favorite in the series!!!!

I am obsessed with this series and this book delivered! I love the characters, the storyline, the sarcasm and snark, and the quit wit! There were so many laugh out loud and spit your drink out moments in this book.

Paige is definitely one of my favorite characters of all time. She gives all of herself, puts herself in harms way for the people/supes that she cares for, and doesn't expect anything back in return. I would totally be her friend in real life. I'm totally rooting for Nico!!!

This book is so good and I could not put it down!!! I definitely recommend this book and series! If you love sarcasm, supernatural mysteries, sexy werewolves, some dirty goodness, and a strong heroine, this book is for you!

I can't wait for the next book in the series, The Remains of the Fae, to be released on May 11th! I need to know what happens next!!!!

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

The Lying, the Witch, and the Werewolf is a bit more…let’s go with “sexually interesting” than the other books in this series. But for good reason. Paige must go undercover at a sex cult to help look for a client’s sister and make sure she’s there of her own free will, happy, and safe. But in true Paige fashion, she can’t just peek through the bushes (no pun intended) unseen and be on her way. She grabs everyone’s attention along the way and gets herself into as much trouble as possible.

I really love this series. There are plenty of laughs to go along with the mystery, and I just devour each book faster than her dalmanther pup can eat a pair of Jimmy Choo’s. I love how she keeps things lighthearted even when it seems like the worst is happening.

The writing in this series is so easy to absorb. I’m not saying it’s a low read or anything like that, but the way the authors put everything together makes everything flow fast and smooth. The characters are all easy to relate to in different ways and it makes them more believable. I love how Paige’s character has evolved from a close-minded and occasionally uptight and down on her luck character to who she is today. I wish more people in real life could overcome their prejudices the way she has. It’s understandable that she is still a little leery, but as time goes on and she has those life experiences, her opinions are changing. Hopefully, more people in our society can start to do the same.

Overall, I can’t think of a single actual bad thing to say about this book. I’ve loved it as much, if not more, as the other books and my only sort of complaint is it’s never long enough. But I’m selfish like that and always want more.

Page Harper’s life is at a tough point. A serial killer has given her the impossible choice of letting her boyfriend die or turning him into a vampire. She made the selfish decision and saved him against his will. Now he doesn’t talk to her anymore. And everything else is not going well in her life either. That she now has to share the office with Nico ends in her getting involved with the investigation of a group that campaigns for free love between supernatural and normal beings. But is everything there as harmless as it seems? Page has to go undercover to find out more.

The plot was weak for me in some places. But it didn’t stop me from enjoying the book. The character interactions in particular helped. There were a lot of new characters that became dear to my heart. As in the previous books, you dive into a crazy world in which Page tries to find his way around and to balance the tension between Nico and herself. Even if resolving the story left me with a not entirely satisfied feeling, the cliffhanger was very promising for the next book. An entertaining book that is easy to read because of the way it is written. It was exciting to learn new things about the world and to watch Page grow more and more with the situations.

Going undercover in a sex haven was not what I expected. The sex jokes are constant, which is amusing for a main character who is a recovering sexaholic. Or at least, her former marriage and engagement both seem like sexual compatibility but nothing else to recommend in the relationship.

Hired to infiltrate a sex commune, she is equipped like James Bond with special tricks, and the scene was a special treat for me! I also liked the scenes with the stuffed dog god.

With so many fun scenarios, the greater plot was pushed to the edges, but it was not forgotten. She finally gets her revenge on Brad. She finally admits her requited feelings for the sleuth. She finally admits she is no longer bigoted.

I am sure some of these new characters will have camos later. I hope the wacky old lady returns.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Rating is actually PG if you don't mind words like vibrator. For a sex-themed comedy, this is pretty tame.

This is the first book in this series that I have read, and I enjoyed it immensely. The author did a great job of making the necessary connections to events that took place in books 1 - 3 so I had no trouble starting with the fourth book. There were lots of moments that made me laugh out loud (with my husband looking at me wondering what I was reading), along with mystery and danger involving the main characters. This is a book not to be taken too seriously. Lots of humor and adult situations (if you get my drift!) I have always enjoyed books with paranormal storylines and the array of characters in this book did not disappoint. The pixies, werewolves, witches, and etc., created a motely crew that all added to the heart of the storyline and to my reading enjoyment. I may have to go back and read books 1, 2, and 3 while I anxiously await book 5. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Our heroine has a new assignment this time, but it involves a clean up of a very steamy nature. This one is going to be a bit out of her normal purview,

This is book four of the series, but it works just fine as a standalone. All the essential bits are covered early on.

This a paranormal romance with a strong sense of humor. Frankly, the entire situation is ridiculous and that just makes it too fun to resist. The writing is excellent and the setting is well detailed with lots of unusual elements to it that add to the entire bizarre nature of the story. The characters are also well developed with unique and interesting personalities. This one involves some intriguing steamy elements which also provides an opportunity for our characters to grow a bit. Overall, another great story and I definitely look forward to more.

Highly recommended.

This time Paige is hired to go undercover in a sex cult, rather than her more normal cleaning services. Stand by for some rather heated situations, albeit all in the best possible taste...

After reading some rather "heavier", more serious books it was nice to read something humorous for a change. With werewolves, sprites and even a few gods this was just the tonic. There are some more serious undertones, with maybe a comment on modern society, but that doesn't get in the way of a cracking story. There are a few little twists on the way to go with the humour, the only downside being that the story ends on a cliffhanger. This just means that I'm really looking forward to the next book in the series though.

I received an advance copy of this book from the publisher, however this did not influence my review of the book

Paige goes undercover at a retreat known as Together We Come. The client wants to make sure his sister is there voluntarily or if she has joined a cult. The twist is that the retreat promotes the idea that supes and humans can learn to get along by banging it out. So Paige gathers her pet dalmanther and her broom and heads off to the retreat.
Along the way there are many fun and quirky characters, lots of amusing situations and of course, a mystery to solve. The sexual tension is strong between Paige and Nico and you are kept wondering if and when they will get together.
This series has the perfect blend of tension, laughs and quirkiness . I am eagerly awaiting book five to see what happens next.

Paige is going through a rough spot right now. Liam refuses to speak to her after she changed him into a vampire to save him and all the fallout ended in her losing her office. So now Paige spends her days sitting across from Nico, who convinced her to share his office, and worrying about Liam. When a man wants to hire her to check on his sister who has joined a sex cult, Nico offers her up for undercover work. Throw in the news that her ex just got married, the vampire serial killer is still after her, and Nico opened her very private package at work, and Paige is pretty ready for a weekend away. I love Paige and her ragtag group of friends and her sense of honor and responsibility. I received an advance copy of this book and voluntarily left a review.

Paige has a paranormal cleaning business which shares an office with a wolf shifter PI named Nico. Her ex is now a vampire and another was a cheater. A client shows up wanting to know his sister is safe is a commune called Together We Come - paranormal and humans feeling safe with lots of sex. Can you say the 60s with drugs? The innuendo and banter coming off the pages kept me laughing more than not. A little intrigue here and there is connection to the chocolate and the rally. Nico comes to Paige when she needs help, after her Dalmanther chewed up her communicator toothbrush. What a fun and crazy storyline that had me right from the start. Can not wait for book number 5.

I adore this series. It is so cute and funny and I have to laugh out loud again while reading it. I really like that this book (and all of the books with the exception of the...second one, I think it was) have an overall storyline that you get a little bit more of each book (the vampire serial killer aka. VSK storyline), and then you have the main story in each book that gets resolved by the end. I just really love how funny, clever, and creative this series is. This isn't form fiction, all following the same generic plotline every time to churn out mass-produced books. Each book is unique and thought out. I cannot wait to read the next one!

I received an ARC of this book, but my opinions are all mine.

This is book four of the series, but it works also as a stand

alone. The author makes a point of clarifying the history early and bringing the reader up to speed

This a paranormal romance with a whole lot of laughter and giggles.. Honestly, the satire of the story line is totally ridiculous and that hauls you in hook, line, and sinker. It just makes it way to fun to resist.

A continuation in Paige's saga, she is still being pursued by the VSK, she is morose over her ex-boyfriend Liam, and she is now being asked to infiltrate a sex cult to look for a clients sister. Some uncomfortable truths come out, and Paige has to find out who she really is.
I liked it. It wasn't my favorite book in the series, and it seemed especially short with the cliffhanger and there is basically no plot progression on the steamy tension with Nico, nor the VSK. Other than that, Paige still gets into all kinds of harrowing situations she needs to get herself out of and is still an enjoyable character to read about.

The Lying, The Witch, and The Werewolf has Paige going undercover in a sex cult. As Paige gets deeper into the cult we get to see more supernatural creatures introduced. The mystery around what is actually happening in the cult had me so curious especially since it involved chocolate. The heat between Nico and Paige is so hot in this book. Their slow burn has me turning pages and devouring this series to see what is going to happen between them. I love reading about their relationship. I was totally unprepared for how this book was going to end and was glad the fifth book was available because I jumped right over to it. I had to know what was going to happen to Paige.

Jumping into the established YA series was a little difficult. They are not standalone novels. I found the author created well-developed characters.

The series is about a woman who cleans for a living. It focuses on her interactions with supes or supernatural beings. These include werewolves, faes, hybrids, witches, etc.

In this book, she is being hunted by VSK (vampire serial killer). She goes undercover to investigate a possible sex cult and verify a member is there of her own will.

It is a fun read and there are many play on words like 'Friendbook' instead of Facebook. I am glad I had the next book in the series because the book ends in a cliffhanger.

I received this book as an advanced reader copy. I have given my honest review. Happy reading!

Fun, quirky and some laugh out loud moments as Paige goes undercover to find a client's sister at a sex cult. What could go wrong? She does pretty good at being a PI for Nick, but discovers a whole lot more than the missing sister. With help from a new friend and a few of the staff and Nico himself, several mysteries are followed up and even some of her past gets resolved too. Last paragraph leaves us with a cliffhanger, so hoping to get the next book soon! Received an ARC from Booksprout to give an honest opinion.

As I am a bit of a prude I would only rate this as a 3, a bit too much porn style of writing, but as not all readers are like me I gave it a 4 as I found it quite funny. There are a few grammatical errors so if you can look past those you will find a slow burn romance with lots of innuendos and funny comments. Although the main investigation is solved there is always more happening. Look forward to the next in the series as the ending left me on the edge of a cliff.

What a great addition to this series! I liked that this book takes on a more serious and emotional approach into how Paige is truly coping with the incredible events in her life. I also really enjoyed the refreshing twist of the main character being away from all the usual characters giving her a chance to make new and interesting friends. However the best part of this story is how Nico and Paige's relationship evolves into so much more! This was a great read and I can't wait for the next installment! This book is so good!! It's a great continuation but can be read on it's own. I love that Paige is finally accepting her life isn't "normal" and is growing as a character. The heat between her and Nico is mucho caliente, I'm so rooting for Nico! There are so many "lol" moments and I love the snark! The series is getting better with every book and so is the author's writing. I can't wait for more!! I don't think 6 books is enough *wink wink*

Fans of Gail Koger will most likely appreciate this series.
The quirky characters are compelling and engaging. Some of the sexual innuendos did make me smile, but I found this book of the series somewhat tedious after a few chapters in. The 'mystery' was a bit predictable.
You should have book 5 (out on may 11, 2021) of this series before reading this book, as it ends in a cliff-hanger moment. It could be read as a stand alone, however, in order to understand all of the interactions and dynamics of the characters you need to read the previous books .

Paige is taking a bit of a break from the dating scene. Homicidal fiance and a philandering ex-husband will do that to a girl. So when her almost-partner needs helps getting a cult, she Paige will help. And only Paige is not interested in taking part in a multi-species sex cult. Of course there is much more going on than just free love. And Paige is forced to admit a few things to herself. Also, chocolate that is soooooo very bad for you. Hold on for another Down & Dirty Supernatural Cleaning Service adventure!

OMG!

OMG!

That cliffhanger. Holy moly, I was not expecting that one. I literally stopped for a second when I realised that was the end of this book. Whoa, I need to jump straight into the next one.

I'm still head over heels in love with Paige and her adventures and this book, with a sex cult and a missing person, was no exception. The way I'm swooped into the story and just want to know more and more, I just love that feeling. And Nico? Mhmmm, get that werewolf PI my lady. The movement in the romantic front was amazing to see.

I adore this series! Paige gets herself into the best sort of trouble and this book is no exception! She’s undercover at a sex-positive cult. What could possibly go wrong?!

The writing is spectacular: great dialogue, fantastic characters, and excellent pacing. I especially like that there is an over-arching mystery that is hopefully going to be addressed sometime. I’m so looking forward to the next book! It is my pleasure to be on the ARC team for this book.

I really enjoy this authors books. Light, easy to read, with a story and a few sidebars and usually a good ending. This one is definitely all that. Paige Harper goes undercover to a sex cult for a client, and gets slightly more than she bargained for.

If it’s light hearted fantasy you want, this is a series for you. Can’t wait for the next instalment.

Paige is our star character and as usual, the author will have you laughing out loud at some of the situations she gets herself in or that others get her in. All in all a light comedy although there is still a killer stalking Paige and Nico is still trying to convince her that she really wants to be with him (she does, but she doesn’t)...
