Kade Sutton - The streets are a lonely, dangerous place to live, but this is my penance, the path I was meant to take. Out here, a smile from a stranger is the simplest gift that means everything.

I knew what it meant.

It gave me warmth and hope as I sat on the sidewalk each day begging for food.
Daisy Ingles was the woman who gave me that gift, she was kind, beautiful and smart, but best of all, she loved my dog.
People like me never expect to be given the opportunity of a lifetime, one that could turn it all around, but there’s a catch, I have to betray the woman I’ve grown to care about.

Daisy Ingles - Reality TV is a duplicitous cesspit, run by vultures waiting to rake through the bones of their victims, and I’m right in the middle of it. The only light in my day is the homeless guy, Kade who lives outside my office building.

He has a story, everyone does, but his haunts him, I can see those ghosts swimming in the bright blue of his eyes.
I never expected him to say yes to being the star of our show, but his one demand, that I go with him.
Everything tells me to say no, but I know he needs me. If I refuse, and he stays on the streets, it’ll be my fault.

Secrets, lies, love and betrayal, the perfect plot for a reality TV show, where even the best script writers couldn’t predict the fallout.

I live in Cheshire with my husband, two dogs and mum in law and write romantic humour and contemporary romance. My first two books, Guess Who I Pulled Last Night? and No Bra Required both stayed at number 1 on the Amazon Humour list for 3 & 4 weeks respectively. My ambitions of becoming a writer started at the age of 10 when I started writing poetry at school, and was given the honour of reading one out to the rest of my year group (an horrific experience that I will never forget). Thankfully I have a wide variety of strange and wonderful people in my life, otherwise I'd be stuck on what to write about! I am currently talking to family and friends, finding out their innermost secrets in readiness for my next book.

My books are romances that come with a little more than vanilla sexy times, sometimes a few tears, lots of hot men and feisty women, but ultimately they'll make you smile.

I was very excited with the concept of this story. A homeless man starring unexpectedly in a reality tv show as a millionaire!!!
Daisy and Kade, as well as his dog Brody, were fabulous!! Very likeable and so amazing, easy to connect with, they touched my heart and I really enjoyed their journey.

I do not watch reality shows, and having one man staying in a house with ten girls as for him to meet and socialise with them and finally choose one, was not my cup of tea.

Regardless, it was a beautiful and emotional story, very well written and developed, but with plenty of drama.

Oh my, I had such fun with this. It was such an enjoyable read that I had to complete it in one sitting; such was my level of addition.

I absolutely hate reality television. I cannot even begin to describe how much. However, I positively adore romance novels that use reality television as a backdrop to the story. I’m not sure what it is, but I get super excited whenever I hear reality television is included in a story. It doesn’t always go well, yet in most cases I have found myself enjoy the story. I’ll admit that this one did remind me, at points, of another reality television romance novel I’ve read – mostly, though, it stood out from the crowd in so many ways.

I’ll admit that I was a little bit tentative at first. I wasn’t quite sure how the whole rags to riches element would play out in relation to the story, and in all honesty I was nervous about how it would play out. Homelessness is a very real problem in the world, and part of me feared it would be made light of through the story. Fortunately, such was not the case. Despite the types of emotions elicited throughout the story, the authors manage to stay sensitive to the issue of homelessness. They make it clear what types of people can find themselves in such an unfortunate situation, they make it clear that the judgements passed are uncalled for, and they make it clear how society needs to open their eyes. Honestly, it was so well done. It was informative without it impinging upon the romance aspect of the story. I would give a full five stars for that alone. There are so many additional brilliant aspects to this book, yet that is what easily stood out the most for me.

Both of our main characters are a lot of fun – you quickly fall in love with both of them, and you spend the entire book hoping that they will get their happily ever after. There are enough curveballs thrown in throughout, though, that there are times where you question whether such will be the case. It’s not just the main characters who are wonderful – the side characters pack a real punch. I loved to hate so many of the side characters, and that is exactly what you need in a book like this. So much drama is necessary – but the drama would be nothing unless the characters were petty and nasty. I really did love the bitterness of some of the characters, with certain ones left me wishing I could engage in their conversations simply so I could lower myself to their levels of pettiness (because, honestly, we all love a good petty moment).

The story is so much more than a simple tale of reality television, though. In fact, the reality television took up less of the book than I had expected. Due to this, I would have liked for the book to be a bit longer. I would have enjoyed more scenes where we were dealing with the reality television element. Despite having wanted more, however, I did enjoy all the additional aspects that were thrown in. I really don’t want to say too much, as it would result in spoilers, but I really enjoyed where things went towards the end of the book. It was an unexpected additional layer to the story, and I thoroughly enjoyed watching that aspect of the story play out.

Seriously, there were so many great things about this book. It is so much more than the synopsis would have you believing. Yes, we have all the dramatics of any good reality television romance story; however, we’re also given so many layers relating to everyday life. It’s such a nice blend of everyday drama and the excess drama created in the world of reality television. Even if reality television stories are not your thing, I would recommend you give this a try as there’s so many aspects that will appeal to people.

The biggest downside for me was the ending. I loved the way it ended, but I felt as though it was all too quick. I would have liked to see certain things play out instead of having them referred to in the epilogue. It just felt as though the ending was very sudden. We were on this crazy high and then boom – it’s over. I would have just liked a couple more scenes, just so that we could have watched the emotional aspects that clearly played out after the final chapter and before the epilogue. Many will enjoy the sudden impact of the ending, but it did leave me wanting a bit more. Still, it was a wonderful read.

Without a doubt, the authors have done a wonderful job with this one. Previously, I’d read Nikki Ashton’s Roman’s Having Sex Again, and having now read this one there is no question of me picking up more of her books. I’d never read a Victoria Johns book before, but I’ll certainly be looking to do so now.

Overall, a brilliant read.

Heavily blanketed with colorful words and phrases. If profanity is not your thing, consider this your warning LOL. It was a nice contemporary romance.

This review is based on the ARC provided by the author in exchange for my honest opinion.

These two British authors put their heads together and produced a bloody good read.

I loved it!

The characters:
Kade, a homeless guy living on the streets with his dog. A happy go lucky kind of guy and even though he is where he is nothing seems to get him down. A loveable character, a hot loveable character may I add.

Daisy, a beautiful person inside and out with a bitch of a boss working as a pa for the devil that is Meridith at a tv station, think The devil wears prada boss and multiply it, that's Meridith.

Daisy see's Kade regularly on her lunch breaks, takes him food and they become good friends.

A heartwarming and heartfelt story with humor in the mix of it all.

The plot:
A reality show to turn a homeless guy into a believable millionaire and have a house full of barbie type women competing to have a night with Kade. Each day one woman is voted off the show. Each night one woman gets to spend a night with Kade.

Kades condition to go on the show and the only way he will agree is if his dog and Daisy can be in on the show.

I loved the concept of this book, the characters, the twists and turns and the fact that my heart was in my mouth at some points.

Poor Daisy, poor Kade, omg that did not just happen, that bitch!,
yes those were my thoughts, I was up and down with emotions, everything was balanced out brilliantly told in dual pov's and at a steady pace.

If your looking for a hot read this isnt one but if your looking for brilliant contemporary romance, a rags to riches story by two gifted British authors then you have an ideal weekend read.

This book was just what the doctor ordered. And as is the norm with a Nikki Ashton book, I really laughed and yep you guessed I cried equally as much.  This story was a huge trial of bittersweet moments that led to huge heartbreak. I cried heaps and without spoiling the book, the didn't fall in vain.

Kade was so down on his luck and never thinks he deserves a break but Daisy his savour thinks his worth saving.  He fights help all the way until an opportunity comes up, this could be the silver lining. However during this experience however hard he tries not to he can't help hurting Daisy. Will he ever be able to be forgiven. This is a story is about love and loss, both in the past and in the present. It's about learning to deal with what life throws at you and doing what is right or maybe what you feel is right at the time.

I really recommend this great read, although I recommend all books by this author. She just has a great way of telling a great story and makes you feel everything that the character feeling and leaves you and your emotions at breaking point.

These two British authors put their heads together and produced a cracking good read.

I loved it!

The characters:
Kade, a homeless guy living on the streets with his dog. He's a happy go lucky kind of guy despite his curcumstances. Nothing seems to get him down. Kade is instantly a loveable character, a hot loveable character may I add.

Daisy, she's a beautiful person inside and out despite putting up with hag of a boss on a daily basis. Daisy works as a PA for the devil that is Meridith at a tv station. Think The devil wears prada boss and multiply it, well, that's Meridith.

Daisy see's Kade regularly on her lunch breaks as he lives on the streets, she takes him food, chats with him, makes time fir hom and over time they become good friends.

This book is a heartwarming and heartfelt story with humor in the mix of all it encompasses.

The plot:
A reality show wants to turn a homeless guy into a believable millionaire and have a house full of barbie type women competing to have a night with him. Each day one woman is voted off the show. Each night one woman gets to spend a night with the pretend millionaire.

Kades is selected for the show but lays down a condition when he is selected and that condition is his dog has to be on the show too and his friend Daisy.
Daisy also becomes a contestant who needs to win Kade's heart.

I loved the concept of this book, the characters, the twists and turns and the fact that my heart was in my mouth at some points.

I believe 2017 is going to go down as one of the best years of books for me and the most recent win is I Wanna Get Laid by Kade by Nikki Ashton & Victoria Johns. I Wanna Get Laid by Kade is the first book I’ve read by either of these two authors, and I’m ecstatic that I received the ARC to get to know them. The story is so fantastic and spellbinding from beginning to end. There is nothing better than finding new authors who can tell a story in a way that makes the reader laugh, cry, smile, you know, run the full gamut of emotions. I couldn’t put this book down.

I Wanna Get Laid by Kade is the story of a young man, Kade Sutton, with a tough past who ends up homeless. Sometimes he is lucky and gets a spot in a shelter for the night while his days are sitting on the sidewalk with his dog Brody begging. Kade isn’t like many of the homeless he isn’t an alcoholic or druggie. He is in good shape physically, and underneath the dirt and grime, he has a beautiful face.

Daisy Ingles is a young woman with a big heart. She loves animals and her job at the animal shelter, however, it doesn’t pay a lot. After her mother survives a tough illness, Daisy wants to give her mom and dad their dream vacation. To get the extra money, she takes a job with the boss from hell at a reality TV station.

Every day Daisy shares a treat with Brody and some food with Kade. One day when Daisy is talking to Kade, Meredith Hennessey (the boss from hell) spots Kade and decides he will be the perfect person for her new reality show. It is an offer that he can’t refuse.

I can’t say anything else at this point except I love it. The characters are so realistic, well thought out and believable. The conflicts are representative of the way I visualize life in this setting. I can imagine the stress the show puts on a new relationship and the difficulties of living in the reality TV world. The story is engaging and perfectly paced to keep the reader turning the pages until “The End.”

Regarding Meredith Hennessey, she is the boss that all of us who has worked any length of time has butt heads with at some point in our career. In this story, she is in the entertainment industry but her kind, you know the type who step on anyone to advance their careers, is in every industry. She is perfectly written for the reader to love to hate her. I always enjoy a good “bad” guy.

I Wanna Get Laid by Kade is primarily written in the alternating point of view of Kade and Daisy. However, there are a couple chapters written from other characters’ point of view. I Wanna Get Laid by Kade is a beautiful and poignant love story. Nikki Ashton and Victoria Johns give the reader glimpses at the good and bad that are a part of the different forms of love. I highly recommend this book and thank the authors for a most enjoyable time reading their creation.

Take two fantabulous authors and what do you get? One word – awesomeness!!

I couldn’t wait to get my grabby hands on this book. I was intrigued by the concept of the story and the cover most certainly caught my attention *snorts* (just keeping it real, peeps!).

For me, the cover held a double meaning. Yes, it is attractive to look at (slight understatement), but it also serves to reaffirm my belief of never judging a book by its cover. This story is so much more and really made me think.

I have never been a fan of reality TV and those seeking their five minutes of fame regardless of what they have to do for it, or hurt in their pursuit of said fame. However, I can totally understand why Kade signs up for the show in the book. It’s an escape from his current situation and if he can help a friend in the process it’s a win-win, but nothing is ever that easy – is it? I stumbled across this quote earlier and it sums Kade up for me perfectly – “I am more than what you see.”

I loved Daisy. We all need a Daisy in our lives. This girl is so selfless with a heart of pure gold. When she hurt, I hurt. When she laughed, I laughed. I found myself getting worried about her being in the mansion amongst all those sharks who were just circling, waiting for the scent of blood. As her feelings for Kade develop I became anxious and protective of her. Her heart is too precious to be toyed with.

The show is full of mean girls, crooked TV execs and smoke and mirrors. If you are anything like me, IWGLBK will have you on the edge of your seat with what’s going to happen next, spitting with anger on occasion and ready to throat punch a certain character. I kid you not! Not to mention tears of sadness as backstories are revealed and tears of happiness when good things happen.

Above all, the connection between Kade and Daisy shone through. They just ‘see’ to the heart of one another and the chemistry will have your ovaries exploding.

Oh, I nearly forgot to mention Brody, Kade’s dog. Oops, my bad. See, what more do you want?

Le sigh…. I Wanna Get Laid By Kade…. I do, I really do lol!

I really loved this book! It was an honour to be asked to work on it with my red pen for these two lovely ladies, and it really didn't feel like work at all.

I Wanna Get Laid By Kade is a sweet, fun but at times heart wrenching romance set against a backdrop of a reality television programme that neither of the main characters have any desire to be involved in. Kade is a homeless man, on the streets through no fault of his own, and Daisy is a sweet, caring woman who works in the building beside Kade's patch. Every day, Daisy takes food to Kade and his awesome dog, never expecting anything back. And then her bitch of a boss, Meredith catches sight of them together and all hell breaks lose.

I won't go into too much detail here because I hate spoilers, but needless to say, what follows is both hilarious in places, heart breaking in others, and downright cute and sexy in the rest. The issue of homelessness is dealt with beautifully. It never felt like the ladies were exploiting a serious issue to score entertainment points. Instead, they capably covered the sensitive topic, bringing to light issues that really we prefer not to think about on a day to day basis, most notably for me, the concept of "there but for the grace of God go I."

I'm not a fan of reality TV at all, and did wonder how I'd enjoy a book using it as a backdrop. But the way the book is written and the skilful storytelling of the authors meant that was never, ever an issue. I was gripped from the very first page until the last, and didn't even want to go to sleep because it meant I had to stop reading. I definitely look forward to reading more by these talented ladies! Five stars *****

Daisy has a heart of gold. As she passes by a homeless person daily, she befriends him and brings him food. When her boss, who is desperate to impress her on boss, sees him, Meredith knows that Kade will be the hook. From there, Kade is set up in a bachelor style reality show portraying a millionaire. He convinces Daisy to come along as one of the lucky women competing for him so he has a friend there. Feelings, from both of them, end up going further than expected and the green head of jealousy comes out.
Opinion
This was a thoroughly enjoyable book from start to finish. The drama that the boss, Meredith, stirs is so off the wall that it’s laughable.
Daisy is an overly sweet woman who is trying to do her best by her parents. Kade is an unbelievable man who I would love to know.
Parts of this book are reminiscent of a soap opera but hey, that’s what reality shows are anymore.
Many thanks to Bare Naked Words for providing me with an ARC of this book.

I've never been a fan of reality shows. However I read a different book by Nikki Ashton that I really enjoyed so when I got the opportunity to review this book I jumped at the chance. I Wanna Get Laid by Kade was definitely an interesting book. It was stupidly fun, comical, and heartbreaking at the same time. It gives you an in-site into what people will do to get what they want, even if it means walking all over the little people. Kade was an amazing guy given an opportunity to better himself. But he didn't always think about what kind of pain his actions would cause the people he cared about. Though I'm glad a few positives came out of him staring in this reality show. Daisy was a sweet girl and I felt so much of her pain. She went into this challenge with strong positive goals in mind. However the heart doesn't always tell you what it's gonna feel before hand. Brody was my favorite though. I loved the strong connection he had to both Daisy and Kade. I loved how loyal he was to both of them, especially Daisy when her heart was breaking. This was a fun unique story that I would definitely wouldn't mind reading again. *I voluntarily read a copy of this story for an honest review*

Reality TV and the infamous bachelor or bachelorette are not my favorite programs, but this book will melt your heart even with a similar format. Kade Sutton lives on the streets with his trusted best friend, Brody. The two wait patiently for the attention of one adorably, kind, and generous lady, Daisy who shares her meals, her smiles, and her warmth. Without her, Kade and Brody would've faced more challenges than before.
There is something about the homeless guy and his dog that draws her in. Daisy can't put her finger on it, yet. Behind that beard and grim there is handsome young man who deserves a chance at a new life. Daisy makes it her mission to help him. When the proposal of starring in a new reality show presents itself, Daisy approaches Kade and is not surprised when he takes the bait.
Smart, sassy, and full of drama that beats anything on TV!

Wow, what a book!

I started this book and then got side tracked with Nikki's other new book, Roman's Having Sex Again! So this book took me a little longer to finish, which on the plus side, means I got to enjoy Kade for that wee bit longer....

If your looking for a laugh out loud, easy going read then this is one for you! I also love the fact that it reminds you to 'Never judge a book by its cover'. Everybody has things that have had happened in the past, that's then gone on to shape the future in ways we didn't necessarily plan for or we carry feelings with us, because we can't let them go. I really enjoyed going on that journey with Kade, seeing him grow in a hole new life and it couldn't of happened to a nicer person than Kade!

I didn't want this book to end, I wanted to stay part of Kade and Daisy's story! They both have you in fits of laughter, especially in the makeover chapter! You also fall for Brody, the things he gets up to bring a smile to your face and his affection for Daisy! It's also lovely to see such a strong bond between owner and pet.

I can't recommend this book enough, it was just brilliant and it's left me with one hell of a book hangover! All I can say it's let hope Nikki and Victoria, team up to do another book in the future!

The blurb for this book is pretty much spot on. When it says that you are cheering on good guys and hissing at the bad ones it is so true. As soon as I was able to start this book I had the hardest time putting it down. I found the whole story line fun and unique which is exactly what I want all books I read to be like. Daisy is so sweet it's impossible not to like her and Kade is just great and so sweet. I really loved this book and highly recommend it.

This is a book appropriate to the season, and to facing hardship with determination and a good attitude.

Daisy and Kade entered my heart, and I so wanted to nurture their relationship.

This was an emotional story, good and bad!

Can Kade be saved, and will Daisy be his savior? Does Kade want to be "saved?"

Heartfelt story I really enjoyed reading!

I received an advanced reader copy, and this is my honest and voluntary review.

This book was an interesting look at the world of reality TV and how "real" the shows really are. I imagine that this book is what the behind-the-scenes footage would show from Joe Millionaire, a reality TV show from the early 2000s with a similar premise. This book was sweet and fun. I loved Kade and Daisy and their interactions with each other before, during, and after the show was filming. Their connection was felt from the very beginning. This book had a ton of twists and backstabbing that you would expect to see from the entertainment industry.

Not entirely sure how I feel about this book. Some parts were good and some were just down right boring. The storyline itself was intriguing but the flow at times was like dragging your feet. Daisy and Kade are on a reality show together but have previously known each other before the show, so the producer throws in all sorts of plot twist that you don't see coming. Kade is like a bachelor but he lacks characteristics through half the book. Daisy's boss makes her so inferior that she is like a doormat. It's a simple novel but wasn't what I was expecting.

Kade is down and out, homeless, and living on the streets, when his life is dramatically changed by a TV reality show. Daisy works at an animal centre, when she gets involved in the same reality show. No spoilers from me though, you really need to give this book a chance for yourself!
This is a heart-warming, fun, humorous storyline with the added twist. I was hooked and enthralled throughout. These talented authors have done a great job in writing this story, which flowed seamlessly. I recommend these authors for all romance readers.

Daisy works at a television studio as a PA to the producer from hell Meredith. Kade is a homeless guy who Daisy sees everyday, she also gives food to him and his dog Brody. After being thrown together on a reality show, neither one expects to develop feelings for the other. Things are done that one would deem unforgivable. Will they be able to work everything out and find happiness? I absolutely LOVE Kade and Daisy. I wanted to choke Meredith. What a total joy of a book! Using the concept of Pygmalion, updateded to take on board our modern obsession with reality TV, Nikki Ashton and Victoria James have crafted a book which is humourous, poignant, charming and completely readable. Daisy and Kade are innocents in shark infested waters, but their inner beauty shines a light which highlights the murky side of life in the spotlight and those that aspire to wallow in it. This book has succeeded in keeping my eyes glued to the page and my heart growing full. Fabulous! Get Daisy, Kade and Brody in your life stat! 💖💖💖💖💖💖

I Wanna get Laid by Kade is different and fresh even though the focus, a reality dating TV show, is not!

The glitz and glamour of handsome, wealthy bachelors, and the beautiful babes that chase them, are what get great ratings. Kade Sutton has the looks, but not the money. This fact was not going to stop executives from getting their hit show, so lies are told and the billionaire Playboy Kade is created. Daisy knows the real Kade and has a hard time watching her friend be pawed over by money grabbing bimbos.

The authors did a great job at creating the lead characters. Kade and Daisy are both realistic and highly likeable. The story itself was more than what I expected. There is a build up before the reality show begins, and the fall out afterwards. The scenes of the reality show itself were just as I imagine they would actually be, especially after the director yells "Cut". Along with the focus on the show and Kade and Daisy's relationship, there is a twist in the story towards the end that I wasn't expecting. These extras added to the depth of the story, making it more than a superficial light read.

My only criticism is the epilogue. I dislike them in general as I feel they leave nothing to the reader's imagination. This however is a personal preference and can be easily overlooked with a good story like this one.

Intriguing. A co-written book. Would it work? Two popular authors get their heads together and come up with, I Wanna Get Laid by Kade. The title alone grabs you and once downloaded I couldn’t put it down. Is it TV reality show? Is it sending a message out about life on the streets? Is it a love story? You decide. I did and loved it. If you want to snuggle down and lose yourself in a damn good read that will keep you turning the pages from start to finish get this book. Clever stuff and I sincerely hope the first of many collaborations by these talented authors.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I started this book and I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised and loved it.

This is a brilliantly written, heart warming, fun, rags to riches story. I don't want to give too much away as there are some brilliant twists.

I was hooked from the beginning, loved that you not only got the POV from Kade and Daisy but also other characters.

First time I have read anything from these authors and it won't be the last.

This was such a great book!! I could not put it down. Only when I absolutely had to go to sleep did I finally take a break. Daisy and Kade were wonderful! I loved the two of them together. This story had some twists and turns, betrayal, love, and sex. I recommend giving this one a try.

Fab read by two fab authors!
I honestly had no idea what the story was about apart from the obvious clue in the title but with it being written by two authors that I really enjoy reading I couldnt resist reading this one.
And I can say it was a great fun read.
Loved Kade and Daisy.. wanted to throat punch few people while reading but that just added to the story Haha and who couldnt fall in love with little Brody too!
Unique storyline with a twist or two thrown in and some epic lol lines throughout.

::..Reviewed for Red's Midnight Readers..::

I was given an ARC of this in exchange for an honest review, I have given this unforgettable read 5 stars.

This is my first read by either of these two fabulous authors and I loved it. In fact I bloody LOVED it!!!!

This is totally different to anything I would normally read but I will definitely be reading more from both of them. Clearly two very talented authors!
Their writing styles flowed seamlessly making it an unbelievably brilliant read, that you won't be able to put down.
You will fall head over heels in love with the good guys and you will truly hate the bad guys. I Wanna Get Laid by Kade had me laughing out loud in places and breaking my heart in others.

So if like me, you wanna stay up late with a great story, go ahead and read it!!
