A Real Man #27

Enemies with Benefits

Rate this book
All stories in the Real Man series can be read as complete standalone titles-

It was hate at first sight.
That’s what I told myself anyway, because wanting Malachi, who was my brother’s best friend, probably wasn’t the smartest move.

He got under my skin in the worst kind of way... and I was pretty sure he got off on it.

I could have ignored my desire, arousal that was at war with my annoyance with Mal, but then we found each other alone at my parents’ house and everything changed.

He taunted, teased... pushed me to the point I couldn’t stop myself from acting out, letting my arousal take control.

I started showing Mal exactly how much I wanted him, even if it was the worst idea of my life.

Or maybe it wasn’t.

What I didn’t anticipate was him giving me a night I’d never forget, a night that would shake all other experiences in my life.
It was after that when I realized I didn’t hate Malachi. I was hopelessly, madly, and irrevocably in love with him.

Sleeping with the enemy never felt so good.

Not really enemies, but good short book

Delilah and Malachi have known each other for a long time, and they find ways to annoy each other, but they don’t hate each other; they really love each other.

Mal is a year older and now a freshman in college and Delilah is in her senior year. One weekend, Delilah’s (and her brother Aiden’s) parents are gone and her brother is out partying, leaving her by herself at home. Mal has always been into her, constantly rejecting other women left and right. So he uses the opportunity of his best friend (Aiden) being out to go to his house and “drop off books” 😉. When Delilah opens the door, she was not prepared for how intense the connection between her and Mal was going to be 🥵.

They’re both v’s and, although there’s technically only one intimate scene in the book, it’s a pretty intense and a long one 🔥🔥🔥. I loved that we get two epilogues showing us how their lives continued after their HEA.

I wish it had more of an enemies elements in it. There wasn’t any fighting or tension between people that hated each other, which is what I expected with a title like this. That disappointed me 😏. But it was still a good short book!

Another real man novella!! This one was pretty fast pace little steam and drama.

Mal and Delilah are sorta not enemies more like lets banter and annoy one another lol. Delilah has been crushing on her brothers best friend but he annoys her and pushes her buttons. As for Mal well he's always wanted Delilah but he didnt at first wanna ruin his friendship with her brother but the more he sees her the more he says fudge it. Now that they have the house all to themselves they are finally putting themselves out there and seeing what shall happen..

No ow/om drama, No cheating, slight secondary character, sexy times, both virgins

The book's title is misleading. There are no enemies here and no benefits 😂. Since they finally succumb to their desires and love and just start being together 🤔.

It was fine, short, over the top, a little bit of drama, for about 2 mins, with her brother, spicy. Double V, since he was obsessed with her since they met. And well, she always liked him but recently admitted to herself she loves him. The characters weren't flashed out very deeply, but it's fine since this was a novella. Hence why I didn't quite understand why he didn't come clear earlier and just talked with her, instead of constantly pissing her off just to get a rise of her 🙄. Kids 🤪😂 (18h, 19H), that's the only reasonable reason 🤔.

I will be back! I'll definitely try others in this series 😂.

Book 27 in the Real Man series and it was such a great addition. Loved this brother’s best friend/enemies to lovers romance. Mal and Delilah were so good together. Great chemistry between them. The first time they get together it was explosive. I had a similar situation when I was in school. There was a guy who I straddled the line between love and hate and when we got together that very first time, bam explosive and this was how Delilah and Mal was. Loved it. This is why I LOVE Ms. Snow’s work. She creates characters that are so real. Great read.

Short read. Malachi and Delilah are in love with each other but are too afraid to confess. So they piss off each other instead of dealing with their true feelings. But at the end of the day, these emotions will come out and when they finally do, it's so sweet and satisfying to read them getting their HEA.

I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.

Delilah has been trying to hate her brothers best friend Malachi for as long as she can remember, but really her heart only beats for him. He is under her skin with every sarcastic comment and smirk he riles her like no one else, so much so there is only one explanation he hates her. But how can that be when he’s suddenly turning up to pick her up from high school and now they are in the house alone. Is this something more than just a tentative annoyance or real love?

Malachi fell hard and fast for his best friend Aidans little sister, she burrowed her way into his heart the second that they’d eyes met, but she is off limits and he’s trying to uphold the bro code, it’s getting harder and harder each time he sees her. Mal needs to claim her but will she believe he’s true after the way he’s behaved to her in the past and will the price for love cost him his best friend?

Short and steamy read bit I’d expect nothing less from Ms Snow. Loved it, and I highly recommend this 4.3* read.

What I felt for Delilah bordered on insane, obsessed.

Oh man, did that hit the spot. So good! There's nothing like a Jenika Snow dual virgin, with an obsessed & possessive H, Real Man story. Add a best friends little sister trope and you got yourself a book that MUST be read. Steamy, no abuse or cheating, no OM/OW drama, epilogues at 1 and 4 years.

Nice short read.

A semi love-hate, kinda YA plot between Mal and Delilah.

Mal is the best friend of Aiden. Aiden is Delilah's older brother. Mal unintentionally annoys Delilah whenever possible. Delilah thinks she hated it all the time. But one night alone in her house, Mal drops by, brought Aiden's books as an excuse to hang out with Delilah or rather to show her how much she drools over her from the moment he met her.

And so the climax begins.

Nice pacing even though this is a quick read. The plot is simultaneous. Liked the part when Aiden saw Mal leaving Delilah's bedroom and instantly shifted to brotherly mode and punched Aiden.

The heart beats true
Another fantastic addition to the Real Man series! I love how this couple do everything in their power to deny the feeling they have for each other. Mistaking love for hate and putting friends and family over the truth they feel in their heart. Until they can’t…. Will these two find the love they want and the friends/family they need or will they lose it all? There is only one way to find out!

Sooo, I wouldn't exactly call that title 100% true. It's a best friend's sister / brother's best friend short story. I wouldn't say that they were enemies and what eventually happened didn't show a 'benefits' relationship. However, it was a nice, short story with sweet and lovely epilogues.

Enemies with Benefits was a nice, easy to read novella about two young people who finally decided to reveal their feelings. The characters were likeable and the sex scenes were well written. If you like a short, hot stories this one is for you

I love Jenika Snow books and this does not disappoint. Delilah and Mal are enemies that love each other. I thoroughly enjoyed their story from hate to love. The second epilogue was great I love when you can see what happens after they become a couple.

Mal and Delilah have wanted each other for years, but since he is the best friend of her brother neither has taken any action. Mal knows exactly what to do and say to get Delilah riled up. The story keeps you turning the pages with lively banter, intense attraction and a love/hate relationship.

Great fast paced novella by Jenika Snow and another great addition to A Real Man series. This series continues to deliver hot and steamy short reads that are the perfect mid day read. Mal and Delilah secretly have wanted each other for long time but both never acted on their feelings because Mal was Delilah's brothers best friend. Therefore, neither felt they could cross that line. But when they end up alone together, the sparks go flying. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a hot fast read!

Another Real Man

Enemies (kind of) to lovers. Mal and Delilah have long struggled with their relationship. Trying to figure out, how they really felt and if they should act on it. Great anticipation and build up of their coming together. I so loved the second epilogue.

Uber romantic

Intense and achingly sweet romance between two teen hood sweethearts. There was no drama really, just their surrender to each other and I really liked it.

Enemies with Benefits is the latest addition to Jenika Snow's A Real Man series. Delilah loves to hate her brother's best friend Malachi (Mal). For her, maybe hate is too strong a word. He annoys her, frustrates her, and she wants to jump him all at the same time. Delilah believes Mal does crap to deliberately piss her off and get under her skin.

Mal knows he gets under Delilah's skin and he loves it. He wants Delilah, all of her, but he knows he has to find a way to get her to turn her dislike into love. ❤️ Mal wants nothing more than to show Delilah off as his girl and get the whole world to realize that she is his.

Enemies with Benefits is both sweet and hot. Mal and Delilah are really cute together and have steamy chemistry. I really liked this book.

Delilah is Mal´s best friend´s sister... the girl that he´s always been in love with... the girl who was off limits. Since he can´t have her, he likes to test her buttons and likes to annoy her to get a reaction out of her. Delilah has always loved Mal as well, but she knew he was just as off limits, so she mistakes that frustration for hate. I love the banter that they have going on... all of that frustration that creates so much sexual tension between them! Both of them finally give in... and their chemistry is off-the-charts HOT! I love that Mal is not willing to apologize for wanting her, and he´s not backing out of his feelings...and neither is she.

From the first moment these two are on the same page together, it was clear they had an amazing chemistry. I really liked each character individually - she was strong yet made senseless by her hate/love for him while he was throughly captivating in his arrogance and hidden want for her. It always amazes me just how much I am drawn into this author’s stories so quickly. The descriptive words and snazzy dialogue grab you and keep you hanging on with for a roller coaster ride of emotions each and every time. I loved reading this book.

I requested a copy of this book so I could provide an honest review.

Deliah is supposed to hate Mal. Her body is telling her a different story. Mal is in love with Deliah, who happens to be his best friend's little sister. Mal doesn't go out with anyone. He loves teasing Deliah. He knows that he gets under her skin. When these two finally get together, their chemistry is off the charts. They are relatable.

Just needed something between meetings today. I always know exactly what I'm getting with a jenika snow short in this series. Even with the typos and repeated word use I still pick one of these up every so often
