As someone who finds the true crime genre interesting I knew I had to give this book try.
Spilt into 3 sessions (A Q&A, Facts and Figures then a a trivia quiz {answers included}) I did find this book interesting to read. It was one that took me time to get through as I kept coming and going with it.
I found the book jumped around a bit and the questions/facts on similar topics could have been grouped together for an easier read.
I liked the fact there’s a trivia quiz at the end of the book, I’ve not seen that before, nice touch.
Overall, an interesting read if you are interested in the topic.
I am a professor when it comes to the study of useless information and this is one of my favorite textbooks. I especially love the trivia quiz and the cheat sheet. They also have factoid and things you didn’t know you wanted to know about serial killers the whole book is very entertaining and I highly recommend it! A fabulous entertaining book!
The facts lacked organization and, in some cases, context. One or two of the facts weren’t about serial killers, so I wasn’t sure why they were included. On the plus side, the writing was clear and interesting when all the context was there.
I found this underwhelming due to the lack of organization - jumping all over the place different killers seemed so random. I wish all the Dahmer facts were together for example. The facts themselves are OK - but often assume knowledge of the killers beforehand, so you don't get as much context.
