For as long as she can remember Skye had her nose stuck in a book, getting lost in the world of someone else's creation (She still does). Her love for writing came from her love for reading. She could never have one without the other.
Writing was always a hobby and a cathartic experience for her. There are many stories lost to the never to be completed or published pile but needed to be written at the time.
Just a girl that loved stories so much she decided to write hers.
She would love to hear from her readers and learn more about Y'all. So if you get a chance... Get in touch.
This was a fun and rather light read about a family in the making. Aiden donated his alpha sperm six years ago to get money to launch his subsequently extremely successful business. Later, he experiences a severe health crisis which causes him to wonder if he has children from that sperm. Omega Quinn, owner of a cleaning business, did carry that donated sperm to success, but his husband passed away before the pregnancy concluded. Aiden sneakily tracks down Quinn and is surprised to realized he's developing feelings for the papa, too, although he hasn't come clean about being the biological father. Can this ready-made family work when it's built on a foundation of deceit? This is a fun, quick, not too deep, and probably implausible read, but it's good escapism and you'll find yourself really rooting for their HEA.
Rating: 3.25 stars A bit better than the last one in the series but not as good as the ones before it. I think the main problem I had with this book is how immature Aiden seemed to me. I just didn’t mesh with him as a character. With how Aiden went about getting Quinn to clean his house, I don’t really buy that Quinn would have kept him on as a customer. I also don’t buy that Quinn as the owner of the cleaning company would agree to actually clean his house. I just wish that author would have set up something a bit more plausible. Also, it didn’t really connect with any of the books before it. It can be read as a stand-alone because none of the characters from the previous books come out in it. That was also a bit of a disappointment. All in all, it was okay. Just nothing great.
As much as i wanted to like this story i couldn't and it was all Aiden's fault.
I absolutely cannot stand this entitled prick of an alpha. So 6 years ago Aiden donated some sperm and because of reasons he now wants to know if it was used and conceived any children. Not only that, he wants to get to know the possible children and refers to them as "his" family and "his" children. This annoyed me constantly. Aiden WILLINGLY parted with his sperm. Knew what would happed to it. He is not the parent of these children. He is the donor.
Clearly he forgot 1. the fact that he signed a paper giving up all rights to the sperm and 2. that privacy laws are a thing. That second thing is something Aiden clearly never learned about, no matter how prestegious his education was, cause holy fuck does he break a lot of them.
At some point the text says "the more he thought about it, the more he felt like he belonged in a straight jacket", and honestly, can't dissagree. I had been feeling the same way ever since Aiden demanded to know what happened to his donated sperm. And let's not forget how he acted with Quinn's company and workers. All just so Quinn would come to his home and work for him.
I couldn't finish the book because of everything related to Aiden. Because of that there's an endless well of possible ways of how this book could end. So in my mind a lot of misfortune befalls on Aiden and Quinn lives a beautiful and happy life with someone who isn't entitled, and almost acting like a creepy stalker. Oh, and Quinn is able to get a restraining order against Aiden.
Quinn is a great guy raising his triplets alone after the loss of his husband and running his cleaning service. Aidan is a wealthy Alpha who's set his sights on Quinn for obvious reasons and he also has an ulterior motive. He contrives of a plan to get Quinn in his house as a cleaner and slowly begins a tentative friendship with him in the hopes of it becoming much more. I really enjoyed seeing their relationship develop as they got to know one another. Haley, Leo and Keith were absolutely adorable There was some drama and angst concerning the secret Aidan is keeping from Quinn, but ultimately it's resolved in a satisfactory way for a wonderful HEA.
Unexpected Alpha is a short, sweet read by Skye R Richmond. The fifth book in the Unexpected Alphas series, it's easily read as a standalone.
It's definitely far fetched, even for an omegaverse story, but I still like it. Seriously, why would Quinn ever even agree to be his housekeeper? But, that aside...
When Aiden searches for Quinn, he never expects to fall in love with the omega. But Quinn is irresistible. Their story is one with children that tie the men together, and it's an enjoyable ride.
Unexpected Alpha, doesn't have a lot of development, but it's a cute story. It's fun and quick, and the kids are adorable.
In reality, money probably would have bought the information Aidan got from Toby. What makes this book okay is the fact that Quinn and Aidan were obviously fated. I personally love that theme, and Quinn should have gone back to the first meeting he had with Aidan, and how he felt as if he knew him. Also, the fact Aidan went through all that trouble to WANT to get to know his children, regardless of who their parents were should have made Quinn think twice from the moment Aidan confessed what he had done. That he told Quinn counted for major points! Four stars.
I know that this is fiction and the realm of believability is widespread, but yeah... NO!!! There were a hundred different ways Aiden could have introduced himself to Quinn. I know, the truth would have been asking for too much, but repeatedly firing housekeepers? Even for me that was just never going to work... *headdesk*
As for the characters? I loved them all! I would so have loved to see the story go in a different direction, but hey, I guess I can't always have everything my way! *snort* LOL!!!
Aiden didn't think he would have a chance of having any children so, he donated his sperm. Years later, he finds out that he's cancer free but wants to know if his sperm was used. Does he? One of my complaints about this boot is that it was too much thinking on the part of the characters. I guess, the author has to do that for the readers that can't read between the lines.
Unexpected Alpha by Skye R Richmond is the fifth book in the Billionaire Alpha's series. It is a contemporary mpreg romance about a single dad omega and an Alpha with a secret. It is fun, sweet and sexy with a little angst. I enjoyed reading about Aiden and Quinn and the triplets are adorable. Loved this!
I just couldn’t finish this one. Aiden was a hot mess. How old was he supposed to be? Too many implausible events to make this one believable (getting the info about where Aiden’s sperm went, becoming a customer of Quinn’s company, getting Quinn to clean his home, etc). Plus after the debacle of book 4, I wasn’t going to spend any more time. I did enjoy the first 3 books of this series though.
This was such a fantastic, sweet, charming, grab-you-by-the-feels, engaging, endearing, adorable, delightful, poignant, sexy, and totally awesome story. It had me hooked from beginning to end, and I would DEFINITELY recommend getting this gem immediately.
I didn't expect to like Aiden as much as I did...given his introduction into Quinn's life. I found myself rooting for them at every turn. I really enjoyed this short sweet and spicy read🥰🔥
Great and unique storyline! I loved seeing Aiden and Quinn’s love evolve! I think Aiden should have been upfront but where would the fun be in that. Great ending and I hope we see more from Aiden’s brothers!
Wonderful addition to the series! In this book 5 the story of Aiden and Quinn has one of the most interesting plots in the series, The story is easy to read, sweet and endearing and with just the exact quantity of angst situations in between all the romance and hot scenes that allow us to enjoy better the last chapters and the epilogue. I loved especially some of the support characters like Rafe’s (not going to spoil anything, promise!) that exchanged with Aiden some of the nicest dialogues in the book. Loved it!!
This is an amazing addition to this series. Quinn and Aiden are so sweet! I love seeing how these two get together. This is such a fun, sexy and some angst type of story that kept me entertain.
A fun book about interesting characters. I liked the idea for the plot and even though I might have wished for it to be a bit more developed, with more twists, it was a very enjoyable book.
Absolutely love this series and the story and I’m glad they were able to have their happy ever after. Loving this authors work so I’ve added on my go to reads now
This book was so far my favourite bout of the series. It was beautifully written. It definitely a rollercoaster of a ride which made me cry and laugh in parts.
Nothing much happens. Predictable easy read, but nevertheless enjoyable. Aidan's ploy to meet Quinn is amusing. The kids are cute but a minor part of the story ultimately.
