The first piece is good, and sums up the filmmaker's objective pretty well. After that it's mostly free-association pieces littered with very obvious double entendres that he evidently thought were clever. It's not really gibberish, but at times it's not far from it. Note that I'm a fan of Brakhage's films, but his writing could definitely have benefited from a little more lucidity. Interesting to get a sense for what Brakhage's thought processes might be like, but don't expect it to be incredib ...more
