It's all fun and games until Kelly's gargoyle statue turns into a real man...

If there's one thing Party Witch Extraordinaire Kelly Holloway likes, it's a good time. So what if her coven thinks she's so immature they've tacked an extra year onto her wardship? Of course, that's why it's such a surprise when she learns she's inherited Hollow House. Oh, the epic ragers she pla

Putting on a show

I think this is going to be my absolute favorite of the Othercross series! How could it not be when the authors started it off with a brooding hottie, a sassy house, a stone cold protector, a generations long curse, a change in destiny, and a semi-reformed party girl? The characters are truly amazing! I love how the roommates get selected and just their general personalities and how could I not fall in love with this witch who seems to always find trouble, and yet when someone f

Witch in Charge turned out to be a story that I’m very torn about. There were moments when the expected humor and turn of phrase by these two authors brought the expected laughter and chuckles. But those were few and far between for me.

The story itself was interesting, there are characters introduced that I would like to see where their journey takes them, so I’ll most likely pick up the next story in this series.

Unfortunately, the reason I simply could not get i

Okay...I'll be honest I kinda didnt love Kelly's character at first. I mean she's the annoying party girl without a care of who she affects around her and kind of a brat and let's not forget totally shallow. She's kinda selfish that way. However, she grew on me and I know she definitely grew as a character which is what I liked. I liked her character from the other series and to be honest I didnt quite know she was that annoying until she got her own story haha. All that said I enjoyed the book ...more

Finally we get to read about Kelly. She is the one I that needs a mate the most. She is finally moving on but boy does she still have a lot to deal with. For one, she inherits a Hollow House but it has a mind of its own, literally. She has a roommate that loves the basement. I’m sure we will get a story about him soon. And she has a boss she has to impress. She is all grown up, well sort of. She still is a party girl but that is going to change with Ronun. He was cursed. Being a trapped in that ...more

I really enjoyed this story! It was a lot of fun. If you have read other books in the Real Men of Othercross world then you would have met Kelly in them. I was very excited to finally get her story as we've seen her and her fun loving ways through multiple books/series. This book is the first in the Real Men Love Witches series and it can be read as a standalone. I loved Kelly and her quirky ways. She is a great character that loves to have fun and is trying to find her place in the world. It wa ...more

Uhm. It was ok? And that's being nice.

It spends too much time building Kelly up as an immature little girl in an adult body. She takes nothing seriously, is incredibly superficial, and blames everyone else for what she does. But then is all ready to cry if anyone speaks sternly to her.

The tears are supposed to hint there's more to her, I guess. But she's a child in a perma-tantrum state. Are you supposed to feel bad that she's going to cry? Thank goodness there's Ronun to swoop in a save the l

OMG, I just love this story, i've waited for Kelly to get her own story. Using a spell in a court room for her friend lands her in trouble with the witches coven but this story is about Kelly coming into her own. and finding her mate. Kelly always seems to goof off and not taking things seriously but that changes Ronun. The Sexy security guard that who also happens to be the gargoyle from the office she used to work in and decorate all the time. She inherits her ancestral home, gains a couple of ...more

I have been looking forward to Kelly's book since we met her in the first of the Vampire Othercross books. She has popped in and out since then adding humor and helping lovers find each other. I didn't realize how apparently shallow she was at those times.
Kelly's book falls firmly in the why love makes you a better person stories. With the book only from Kelly's perspective, we have about have the book from a party girl who gets by on charm and good looks until she starts wanting to do better.

First in this offshoot series set in the Othercross universe, this tells the story of party-girl Kelly and a hunky cursed gargoyle.
The heroine is powerful but ditzy, self-centered, and rather immature. Fortunately, the gargoyle proves to be the making of her, and her new internship shows her something she is actually interested in.

This was a quick, quirky read, and the sentient house is perhaps my favourite character (making up a lot for the annoying antics Kelly gets into initially). Some c

I liked when Owen schooled Kelly on her powers and taking too much, because she hadn't considered the negative effects. I appreciated a woke Kelly more. I enjoyed seeing the positive changes in Kelly after Ronun. He was a stabilizing force that she greatly needed. Just when I think Kelly has grown she tears into Ronun for supposed crimes to her precious pride!!!! I pittied Ronun because she took his masculinity with her ignorance. I wss disappointed in Kelly's lack of integrity and her shrewish ...more

I must admit I've struggled to like Kelly! She is just such a flake and a party girl - she just didn't resonate with me. So I really wanted her story to try and redeem her in my head LOL.

She kinda explained herself but she was still such a #partywitch! Ronun put up with a lot from Kelly before he "came to life". I'd have got a bit of revenge I must admit. Sentient houses are so fun- I loved the way it tried to get its messages to Kelly and Crew! Vampires in the basement, the weirdest collection

Absolutely CUTE!
Kelly was a bit of a party girl but isn't amazing what love can do. Right?
Getting in trouble and having extra time added, it didn't look like a fun time ahead but Kelly finds out she inherited a house. Oh but not any house a house that thinks for itself. You have to read to see what I mean. Then she finds out the gargoyle statue she's been having a good time dressing up etc, is really a shifter and he makes her heart speed up and more.

I enjoyed the telling of Ronun and Kelly's st

This was a good read. I mean I didn't love it but I didn't hate either. It wasn't quite of coming of age read, but more of become a more focused and responsible adult. I especially liked when Owen went on in on Kelly, about her powers and the facts she talked too much, not considered the negative effects of her powers. I did however liked when Kelly finally got her act together. Overall a good read. I received a free copy via Booksprout as always my reviews are totally voluntarily and no monetar ...more

I really felt bad for Ronun. Not only was he unable to change forms at will (due to a curse), but he was stuck being decorated by a child-like woman. Oh, the ignominy. And then we see Kelly growing up once she meets/moves into her family home. From party girl to reasonable adult, her changes show just how responsibility can come about in unexpected ways. Her more playful nature was balanced by his more serious mien. But the HOUSE was great. I want to live in one that has attitude, lets you know ...more

FINALLY Kelly's story! And it was so worth the wait! There's so much going on in this story that you definitely need to read when you have to time to finish in one sitting besides you won't want to put it down! Kelly's the party girl and then her job changes but that's not all that changes. Meeting Ronun and her new roommates and her new boss all help her change in positive ways, but of course not completely - can't have that. It's a story that will have you smiling and laughing and feeling sati ...more

Sadly disappointing.
Liked Kelly in book one when she did the right thing for a stranger.
Unfortunately in her own story, I just didn’t like her, even at the end.
I didn’t feel she matured, just gave lip service to loving Ronan.
She is written as immature, self centred, spoilt, a party girl who is constantly drunk, spends too much time hungover and has sex with lots of men.
I loved the sentient house part but it just couldn’t keep me entertained. The ending was poor and rushed.

I really enjoyed Kelly’s progression from party girl to normal adult. As expected the author’s told you enough so that you understood the character & her surrounding characters without boring you with useless info (unlike some who seem like they are just trying to up the word count of the book). There are some very racy scenes but they are well written. Overall the storyline drew me in kept me reading & made me want to know more about Ryan, Nathan, Tiffany, Aurora & her brothers. I even doubted ...more

Kelly has had a really rough life cause of looking her parents. But if she lost her parents when she was young why would they wait sooooo damn long 2 give her the house? That house is awesome!! Lol 4 the 1st x in her life she actually felt the strong sense of wanting 2 do good in her "new job" or is it a class? I'm not sure, it's more like a little bit of both... She decided 2 help with his curse but not knowing who caused it from the past but she will do anything 2 help if she can. That was soo ...more

Kelly is one heck of a party witch with sassy to the extreme ! She is often dressing up the gargoyle in wicked funny outfits . When to her shock he shifts into the hottest male she has ever seen ! And nope he is not amused by her actions ! Kelly seems to act without thinking a lot when she verbally and is so far in the wrong ! Still well written and recommended .
I was gifted this ARC and wanted to leave an honest review .

Not quite a coming of age, but maybe more of a becoming focused adult. Party Girl Kelly meets stern and serious Ronun just when her free wheeling ways are about to be curbed. It was fun watching Kelly's evolution and Ronun's salvation. In fact, it is my personal opinion that this might be the best within this series to date.
I highly recommend this book, Well worth your time and $$.

Kelly Holloway is quite the party girl, never taking anything seriously. Everything changes when she inherits the family home and realizes the gargoyle statute she messes with in the office is really a hot man!

It is interesting to see Kelly grow into a more responsible adult. I will say that she seemed more like a frivolous, party girl in this story than she has in previous Othercross books.

Kelly was such a refreshing break away in Witch In Charge. Holloway House, it’s secrets, and guests were awesome. It was nice to see Kelly find her way and mature to become a strong witch that could be respected. The fact that she can keep her humor and snark was nice. The magic that happened in the house was fun too. Holloway House is bound to have more antics and I can’t wait for more on all of the roomies.

she is a witch who has just been given another year of being a ward. She then inherits a house and she think it will be a party hose. Things are not going to be as she thinks, she will have two housemates as well as the house going against her. What will she do? How will she get on? Follow her to see how she gets on

Party witch, Kelly, is flighty and in need of new direction. It comes in the form of a new internship with a crotchety old curse breaker.
Working at night brings her into contact with Ronun, the flesh and blood version of the Gargoyle from her old bosses office.
When she learns he is cursed, she knows nothing more important to her than helping him.
That and a crazy house too!
I was lucky enough to receive an ARC and am happily leaving a review.

Very interesting premise, but with very little follow through. I stopped at 75% when I realized I didn't care. They were having sex for no reason other than it was plotted. No chemistry, no emotion, she's just a witch who has random sex whenever she gets an itch. I kinda feel sorry for the guy.

This was the first book I've read in a few weeks, and this was a wonderful welcome. It's a short read, I finished around 4 hours, give or take. The story is solid, no major plot holes. And the Mc' s are too cute together, I especially love the tunnel vision they both get around each other.

This is a beautiful story with a well thought out setting. The characters are completely relatable while being truly magical. Though longer than I expected, it was so engrossing I read it straight thru, non-stop. It just kept me glued to it. Just another example of Ms Kyle's brilliance.

A fun read!

A fun paranormal romance read that doesn’t disappoint. I so loved Kelly’s character she took fun to the next level, but when she meets Ronun things gets steamy. She may seem fun all the time but when she finds something she is passionate about she goes above to help. I was highly entertained from start to finish with the interesting characters and great storyline.
