Worst book of the series. Charger was a douche. His reasons for treating Raven like shit were …shit.

Wished they had found others.

Killing Tracy at her own wedding was too much for me. Not cool.

First book of 2021 for me and what a book to start this year on.

I have been so curious about Charger and Ravens story since we met them and honesty what a journey so far. I have to say for anyone who's going into this book firstly you definitely should but you should also know that their story is not yet finished and leaves quite a few questions. Now it doesn't leave you on a huge cliffy, it's not that dramatic. But their story is most definitely not finished. Lana will have her book next in the mates series 16.5 and then Raven will have her own story. I need to know the rest!.

Charger is a tortured hero. He thinks avoiding Raven is what's best for her but in doing so he only hurts himself and her more. Not only does he torture himself with Raven he also berates himself over the past. He's stuck in his ways, he does not like change or being told what to do and he doesn't like being out of control. Basically he's your typical alpha asshole with a huge case of stubborn jackass.

Raven is a bonified badass. She's strong, independent and fearless in everything she does. She is set to make big changes in the house of warriors being one of the very view warrior ladies and I'm all for it. I love how she stood up to charger and didn't let his dominance over power hers. She's a unique character with a tonne of depth that I can't wait to learn more about in her book.

These two have crazy tension but there is also a lot of baggage they have to work through. I enjoyed the push and pull between them as they both tried to avoid the giant elephant in the room. I loved the way Raven pushed every button Charger had making him crazy in lust and filled with anger. It's a positively delightful combination between them. The connection they have spans over decades and is clear to see in their story. Even when they are at eachothers throats they still had one another's backs. Obviously when they did finally shake off their stupidity ... it was explosive. Two very dominant characters going head to head just creates fireworks.

Their journey is building to something more creating tensions and unknown troubles that we can't see yet but nonetheless know they're coming. Teresa did a fabulous job of threading Daniel into this story making it all the more obvious just how important a part he plays is the future. The plot is seamlessly woven from one book to the next with each story revealing even more secrets, lies and future possibilities. All the plot twists, suspense and climactic built have me geared up ready for the unknown. I love all the characters and their crazy hilarious personalities that add so much depth and soul to the story. From the banter and bickering to the outrageous shenanigans I just felt the love between them all. Even if they don't like one another all that much. Ohhh and the heartbreak. I wasn't ready for it, not even a little but it sure did add even more emotion to this all ready emotionally driven book.

The future for the warriors, their mates and the guardians is most certainly an unpredictable one but I am so excited to see where this goes and who joins the fold along the way.

Charger and Raven were always inevitable but they are not finished yet so I'm going to leave this here with I am so fucking happy with how it's gone so far. It's emotionally driven and action packed with a tonne of humour and a good dose of steam. It's a rollercoaster but I sure did love the hell out of the ride thus far. Even if it did make me cry. Now bring on Ravens book.

I was really looking forward to Chargers book it was a great read although charger is not a warrior he’s a Guardian and I thought it a bit strange that he had his own book, (it should have been Raven as she is a Warrior) but now I find out Raven will be getting her own book shortly and we will find out more I’m sure.
I did feel this book was missing something and I can’t put my finger on it maybe something extra and more explosive on Charger and the way he treated Raven and why??

The book definitely had All the feels, God, I did feel for Raven and what she went through some heart wrenching scenes, I was a blubbering mess!!
It seems the last few books In this series Teresa Gabelman just wants to make me cry more and more all I can say is thank god for Steve and his jokes, he does make me laugh out loud and I think it was needed in this book.. it does seem like more and more guardians are appearing In these books and I am looking forward to knowing more about them.

Another good book in the series can’t wait for more!

Unsatisfying

I was surprised that the story ended when it did. It felt sudden. I was expecting another page and there wasn’t one! I also had a hard time feeling a connection between the two main characters. Maybe it’s my own zero bs policy, but I would never have given the guy another chance to hurt me if I was her. His lame explanation for his actions was just that. Brief, weak, and lame. She still didn’t trust him by the end and they had no real relationship. I have loved most of the stories in this series, but this one was a total miss for me. The author admits at the end that it was an incomplete story on purpose. I wish I had known that ahead of time. I’d have saved myself the disappointment and waited for a full story to be available (which apparently won’t happen for two more books)! Authors, don’t do this crap.

20 STARS WOULD NOT BE ENOUGH

This has topped my favourite book of the year. Yes it’s that good. I laughed. I cried. I screamed and I sighed.
Charger and Raven were bound to happen but oh what a read. Did not want this book to end.
Charger has been in denial with his feelings for Raven for so long it’s become habit for him.
Raven left the Guardians for the VC because she couldn’t take working with Charger and keeping her feelings inside. It’s easier for her and a plus for the Warriors.
However the new threats get real. Guardians are being wiped out so something has to be done.
Charger finally sees Raven but is it too late? You will have to read to find out.
I highly recommend this book but do recommend you start at the beginning of the series.

Unfortunately, really Depressing

I dont get much time to read, and when I do, I want to escape with a cool relationship and adventure. I've really enjoyed this series. Love the characters and relationships. However, this book was just too depressing for me. The warriors being killed at initiation awhile ago was dark enough, but killing off Tracy at her wedding? Yeah...that was too much for me. I've had a lot of people die in my life, and walking through her death was just too depressing. I wish she was able to survive. I spent a good deal of the book in tears, which defeats my purpose. Not sure will risk.spending my free time on the next one. Bummer, cause I really like this series, and was excited when I saw this release.

Also, kinda think Raven should've given Charger a harder time. He got off easy.

Charger, The Protectors Book 16 by Teresa Gabelman
I received this book from the author for an honest review.
So this book is the first time I am left feeling happy and sad. Happy because Charger finally opened his eyes and sad because the book isn’t given a full HEA. We will get it, but it will be in Book 17 AKA Raven’s book which is after Lana, The Mate’s book 16.5.
Now lemme tell ya, this book is packed full of stuff. I mean we meet a whole new cast of characters who are part of the Dark Guardians…sniff…Jake…sniff. We meet some not so great new characters too…..yeah I’m look at YOU SONYA!!! (High 5’s Raven) But friends can we talk about all the yummy and what it can mean for the future books because …yeah again don’t wanna spoil anything. But uhm Creed, yes please and I wanna be besties with Chantel!!!
I don’t want to say a lot because this ride is an amazing one. We see Daniel have a vision, but something is off with it. We see Charger realize Raven is the woman for him along with getting his backstory as to why he disrespected her all those years ago. We see Raven standing up for herself and proving to EVERYONE she is a badass no matter what gender she is. We see Jared embracing Raven as a fellow Warrior but still protecting her like the dad he is. Oh Jared!!!
I am really excited about this huge series twist this book brought about. We had twist when we met the witches, and this book is another big plot twist for the Warriors. Lots of changes will be happening and new cast of crazy characters will be joining. I, for one, am here for it!!! This series NEVER gets dull because Teresa has the ability to add new and vital changes to the world to keep it fresh and exciting for us the readers.

I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review.

So i was a bit confused why this was Charger and not Raven. Charger is a Guardian and Raven is becoming a Warrior. No worries Teresa has a whole lot of surprises up those sleeves of hers.

The chemistry between Raven and Charger is combustible. Charger will not allow himself to fall for Raven. Raven knows there is something between them but cannot allow Charger to crush her heart. Needing a change Raven left the Guardians to become a Warrior. In doing so may have unknowingly opened up pandora's box. Charger is torn trying to deny his feelings for Raven and fulfilling his need to protect her. Then we have Jarred that tries to take on the roll of Dad to Raven.

We are introduced to a whole new cast of men and women with the Guardians. Some I am so intrigued by and would love to know more about. We got to see a different side of Raven at her BFF wedding. But, just when things are going great guards are dropped and tragedy strikes.

The plot twist on this on was phenomenal. I cannot wait to see where Teresa takes this or Raven's Book but first up is Lana.

Helpful, adjacent Warrior allies, Dark Guardians are ready for their own storylines in this series spinoff. Previously mentioned, VC Warrior initiate Raven and Guardian Charger have pined for and resisted each other for years but not for much longer as the pair work a case Charger starts and Raven ends.

Despite the trend of combining Guardian and Warrior teams, Charger’s resistant to the idea but becoming more protective of Raven by the second. Soft sparks fly between Raven and Charger, to no one’s surprise but theirs, as they each show hidden sides of themselves after standing for friends as they marry.

An explosion targeting the Guardians makes them lose more than they can afford plus a valid threat to the VC initiation adds more pressure to the sensitive time of Raven and Charger moving into their romance dance. Unfortunately, the abrupt ending and the indecision on Charger’s last name (O’Neil & McNeil are used) cost stars. Not a good look!

Truly Outstanding....

I'll start by saying how much I love this series. I love it!! But this one really touched my heart. The rest of the books in the series were mostly exciting, with some touching scenes throughout. THIS one however, is the first one to make me cry. Not just get teary, but made me cry my heart out. As well as I can remember, I don't remember ever reading about Tracy until now. But she, and her interactions with Raven, actually from the end of the wedding on, I literally sobbed. I was happy to see at the end of the book that the Raven/Charger story isn't over, because it felt like there had to be more. This writer doesn't usually do cliffhangers, so I was a little surprised at the end, until she said their story wasn't finished. I'll just say I can't wait for the next one to be released. Another excellent book by one of my favorite authors, Teresa Gabelman. You knocked this one way out of the park Teresa!!!!!!!

Emotional but sooo good!!!

I loved that Raven was such a strong person. She may have had a few insecurities but she showed that people could not walk over her. She was strong in the face of several diversities including the chaos that happened with her best friend. She stood up to Charger after he hurt her emotionally and that in turn made him a better person who was willing to follow her rules in order for him to have a relationship with her.
The good and bad part was that I cried through quite a bit of the book. The good was that it was intense and brought out the readers emotions. The bad was because I really don't like to cry that hard. It may have been a shorter book but I am so glad it was because I was wrung out emotionally. Now I am ready for the second half of Raven and Chargers story when it comes out. I am also ready to see what new storyline and enemies this wonderful author has thought up to entertain her faithful readers.

Awesome series

Charger is leader of the Guardians. Raven was a Guardian until the night Charger told her to leave his bed. She's been in love with him forever but this time he broke her heart. She can't take it anymore and decides to join the VC Warriors. Charger is losing the battle and can't deny his feelings any longer. Then comes the day Raven's best friend is getting married and Raven gets coerced into being the maid of honor. It involves wearing a dress and heels and she's completely out of her element. Charger is best man and when he sees how beautiful and vulnerable she is he vows to protect her always. Then tragedy strikes at the reception and he almost loses her. That's when he lets her know she's his. But someone is out to kill the Guardians and Warriors and danger is all around.

Fantastic Read

Am so happy that Charger has finally removed his head from his ass where Raven is concerned, totally love the banter and the chemistry between them. This story has left a lot out, at first was disappointed but when I saw Ravens story was coming soon it made sense, Chargers story is just a teaser, leading up to the main story which will be Ravens. So now I am anticipating the release of Raven, so I can enjoy their story and hopefully a lot of asses being kicked when they find those responsible for the bombings. I know there is a book out before Ravens for which I am very excited about. Just want more lol love the Protector series and the Mates series, cannot get enough.

Sadly I was a bit disappointed by Charger. I've loved every single one of The Protectors series since I first stumbled across them some years ago but I felt let down by Charger. There are a tonne of new characters in this book who were never properly introduced (and so I spent half the book wracking my brains wondering if I should know them) and the story simply stops half way through at the end of the book, no HEA. I understand from the author's note that it will conclude in a later book but the whole premise of this series thus far has been that each of the warriors get's there own book that tells their story, the whole of their story! It's a shame really. It won't stop me buying the next one but I certainly hope the next one is better.

Great series

I truly enjoyed this series and can't wait for more. This one seemed a little shorter and now I waiting for next one. I liked the main characters in this one they match and appreciate that Steve's sense of humor is in all the books. With the merge starting I know there will be more characters to come, hopefully some that mend broken hearts. My only issue is when series started, the ends seemed more complete. Knew there would be more to come but wasn't left with a gap waiting to see how things would play out. I'm impatient I don't want to wait for Val to walk in,rather he would of before book finished

Holy wow

Teresa has done it again shot the ball right out of the park. I laughed, got angry, cried, and laughed. Charger and Raven was a beautiful heart felt story that I know a lot of us have personally been thru you will not be disappointed with any of Teresa's story's , she is that good. One day I would like to meet her in person because just telling her here how good of a writer she is doesn't do her enough justice. I would like to give her a hug and say thank you for taking me away from this outside world of chaos, letting me calm my fears and just breath with an awesome book. Thank you Teresa for making my year a bit more enjoyable stay safe and write on!

Charger and Raven deserve each other

I've read all of the VC warriors books and loved everyone of them I'm addicted
Charger is an amazing Guardian and when he and Raven parted ways with her joining the VC warriors and moving on Or so he thought it takes the death of one of there friends and a guardians new bride to make them both they were better together, this book had me laughing and crying for Jake losing his mate to Sids jokes there are highs and lows and I can't wait for the next one
Keep writing Theresa love your books xx

Charger vibrates with drama. Tension is high. Enemies are becoming braver. Is anyone safe?

Charger and Raven have a complicated relationship. Guardians and warriors have witnessed it. Raven transferring to the warriors hasn't helped matters. Charger in denial of his feelings makes everything more difficult.

When tragedy strikes things heat up, get complicated. The guardians have lost one of their own. Raven is crushed. Warriors and Guardians must stand together if they want to survive. Charger and Raven must live my example.

Good Story

Charger is a hero who sometimes I liked and sometime I hated. He is a flawed hero who let his own insecurities drive his interpersonal actions with those he feels close to. And ends up alienating those who love him. But in this book I see emotional growth and real progress. He is making amends. The author stated his and Raven's story is not over, but I felt i their story is exactly where it needs to be at this time. What I really want is to see the unnamed domestic terrorists in this story get what they deserve. That story started in this book is not complete.

Charger was everything I could have ever asked for in a book. I had been soooo excited for Charger's book and Teresa Gabelman did not dissapoint. I felt every single kind of emotion. My heart got broken into a million pieces!! That is a testament to how phenomenal of a writer Teresa Gabelman is and how she brings her characters to life for us readers to feel a part of their world.

All the feels,÷ blubbering mess!

Right from the first page, I was sucked into the story. Charger has the perfect name. He charges in to save a human. Loads of action. I laughed out loud! I'm gonna let you know, you need tissues. This book made me ugly cry. I was trying to read, could not focus, because I could not stop crying. My dog came over and put her head on my lap. This was my 235th book of the year. It is also one of the Best I have read. Do yourself a favor and get a copy and start reading! From a True Fan... Pam James

So awesome but left me wanting more

So Raven and Chargers story was amazing but damn men I felt like it needed so much more. I hope that Ravens book comes out and gives us the rest because damn it ended right when we wanted the spicy details and also to see what happened next. It left me more questions. I love this series and I'm definitely looking forward to the next books hopefully including Kane, ryder, creed, Val,ChantRyder, Wyatt. 😁😁

It just keeps getting better

Gotta love this series. You think it can’t keep going, but man can Teresa write! The depth of possibilities just gets more exciting with each book. So do the love interests. I cried over the lost one but cheered for the possible new one. Charger and Raven may just find themselves in a full romance. When you sit down to read this book grab a tissue box, your gonna need it. Can’t wait for the next in this series.

Happy and sad

I can't say much cause I don't want to give anything away. I will say this, I don't think any other book has ever made me so happy and laugh as well as sad and crying.
I can't wait for the next book and see where it leads the Warriors an Guardian. Being patient is going to be very hard.
Teresa is one of the best authors I've ever read. If you haven't read this series you need to. You will not be disappointed.
