Life was hard for Q, way before he ever had an identity. Born into the sex trafficking world, Q had his fair share of drugs forced into his tiny fetal body. Only days old, he was sold and from there, his future was uncertain. By chance encounter, he was reunited with his father. It was a happy moment for them both. However, their happy reunion would be short lived. Suffering from bipolar 1 disorder and the stress of his childhood, Q is a walking time bomb. During an attempt to escape her abusive boyfriend, Carry and her daughter winds up in his backyard. The last place anyone wants to be if they knew of the disturbed soul on the other side of those walls.
This was a well written book. It’s super dark in nature. I’m normally all about light and fluffy reading, this is out of my wheelhouse. I’m trying to give this a try because the story is interesting, but Q gives me the creeps.
Dymond Taylor definitely got me with this one. I felt that old special something like I did when I first read about Fire. I was invested from the moment Q was caught "playing" in the shed with his best friend. He's complicated and extremely flawed, but my heart went out to him. The story moves quickly and the characters are a bit brutish, but as Taylor revealed more of them to us their vulnerabilities were revealed. I cannot wait for book two. I would recommend this book to anyone wanting to read for the bad guy that was really a good guy.
First Qualyon is crazy on the next level and beyond. I hope Lu don't end up with Peyton, she has issues and has slept with soooo many people, and Jade need her little ass whooped, Lu should have put her out after the stunt she pulled, being under aged he could go to jail if she lie about their situation, just to get back at him. And already know Vamir about kick Ladia to the curb after this hook up with the stipper. Cant wait for part two.
This was a pretty good book! This is one of those books that kept me on the edge while reading! There was so much going on that I didn’t realize that I had finished reading the book! It was a little faster than I normally would have liked but it didn’t take away from the storyline! I look forward to reading part 2!
This book was all over the place. WhAt happened to the main characters? It wassss supposed to be about Q and Carry and it was only maybe 15 pages of them. This should've been Vamir and Luie book instead. I'm disappointed in this one. I usually like all this authors books but this missed the mark.
This book is full of drama! Q can't seem to keep anyone in his corner except his cousin that he calls twin. Lu is definitely gonna have to cut Jade off or he's gonna have nothing but problems. Jade is wrong for trying to sleep with Lu when he's trying to care for her as a brother. Can't wait to read part two to see what happened in the hotel room.
Wow...this was a page turner! Starting out with Q craziness was a bonus thriller. Vamir and Lu got their hands full and they don't even know. I had hoped Q went back to the cabin and started a relationship with ole girl and her baby.Anjur is a messy. I loved the relationship stories! I need Part 2 right away..
Loved I couldn’t stop reading! I can’t wait for part 2! Because you can go so many different ways with this book! I can’t wait to see where you go with it! I do know I don’t like or trust Arjun. He has got to go! Outstanding
I loved this book!!! So ready for part 2.. I need so many answers and I'm really hopping that carry and Peyton get a happy ending.. they both deserve it.. can't wait for 2!!! A must read
I liked the book but I'm a little confused. The synopsis was about Carry & Quay, but the book wasn't really about them at all. That part left me disappointed but it was still well written.
A good read with some crazy drama. The family dysfunction is real and I can't wait for everyone's truth to come to light.I am loving these characters they are interesting, likeable, crazy and all dealing with issues. On to part two.
Whew that just got good because Ladia ugly A** need to be humbled. I wish that Q could see what Arjun is doing I knew something was up with him when he wouldn't let him go out with Vamir
The book wasn’t bad it just had a lot going on, i expected to read more about Q but the book didn’t focus on him at all. The book only talked about Carry in one chapter and that was irritating bc it felt incomplete. I’m hoping book 2 is better 🤞🏽
Demond your stories are like none other. Q is crazier than his damn daddy. Vampire turned out to be a stand up guy but not feeling his girl. Vino still crazy. Arjun should be ashamed of himself for using Q like he is. On to part 2.
So, I'm so confused. This book was not about the characters mentioned in the synopsis. Too many characters to enjoy. Q and Carry had 1 or 2 chapters. Maybe they'll be in book 2.
I think vamir is making a huge mistake marrying Laydia she is just horrible... Lu gonna have real problem on his hand with Jade & I think He's gonna fall for peyton... now Q Is a discussion for Another day cause honey
This book has me a little confused. It seems like 2 different book all in one story. The writing is good and I’m going to read the next book to see how it connects
I knew there was something about Dr.Arjun I didn't like. I can't wait for Q to find out what he is up to. Vamir can do so much better than Ladia and Lu better watch Jade.
