Hello, my name is Anthony Izzo and I'm the author of over 40 horror, thriller, and fantasy titles.
I love to write, but when I'm not writing I enjoy spending time with my wife and kids, playing guitar, and drawing fantasy and horror art. I've been told my drawings are as twisted as my fiction, but I'm actually pretty normal. Well, mostly.
Looking forward to hearing from you and discussing books.
This was better than lukewarm reviews had suggested it would be, no great piece of literature, but solid and fun 3 star read. Action packed from the very first page with good likeable characters and quick pacing, this was pretty good creature feature of sorts. Not crazy about the ending, but the author's style is very accessible and the story worked. Recommended.
Meh. It started out very good and quick paced, but there were a few inconsistencies I had trouble overlooking. I mean, it's such a small town that has no detective squad, but does have a Pizza Hut? I grew up in a town approximately the size of the one in the book and they have a detective squad. And no Pizza Hut. Plus, it's set in 2007 and no one has a cell phone? And what was up with the uncle? There seemed to be a whole other underlying story there that went completely untouched. They did leave room wide open for a sequel, though. Maybe questions will be answered there.
Good Lord this book was HORRIBLE! I normally like these really dark and twisted novels, but this one was just laughable. It was overly dramatic in the "scenes" and language. Oy Vey!! It, literally, took me 3 weeks to get through this book because I felt like I was reading a "Z movie". If I wasn't so anal about finishing books I started, it would have went on my "did not finish" list!
Well, I must admit that I didn't enjoy this as much as I Had hoped to. It was fairly exciting and had some fun elements but was a bit too short on explanations for my taste. Not to mention the motivations were missing - and the ending frankly raised more questions than resolved anything. The characters were rather likable, but not charming enough for me to forget my frustrations with the plot. There were some editing errors, too - including one major character's name being replaced with another's! The book also just felt unnecessarily long to have so few questions answered about these strange creatures!
This was a fun read and a quick read for me. Although I felt like the pacing was a bit rushed, especially at the end, and I would've been happier with a different ending, I found this a fun monster story.
Thank you Anthony Izzy for an entertaining story with interesting characters, I will miss them. The story line was both plausible and realistic. It was certainly a tense page turner that I look forward to each and every day.
This book is quite good and leaves you on the edge of your seek the whole time. It's sort of a romantic/horror but it's really good if your into that kind of stuff. It's about a guy who returns to his home town and tries to save every one that is not... one of them. It's very frightening and I just have to say if it was a movie it would be quite a gore-fest and it has a little bit of language but its still good.
A fun Halloween Book Club read. :') A few discrepancies & I couldn't understand how the main characters didn't get hysterical when they thought their loved ones were dead or dieing. They were way too calm....but all in all it was a quick read and kept me turning the pages to see what would happen next.
Predictable plot and a poorly developed protagonist paired with a cardboard antagonist. I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 only because it really wasn't horrible and there were a couple supporting characters that were somewhat interesting (the gun store owner and his wife, for example). The romance subplot was awful.
I wasn't too sure what to expect when I picked this up due to luke warm reviews of this but I was pleasantly surprised. I thought Evil Harvest was a good paced, well written creature feature and kept my interest right till the end. I liked it.
