One night. Just one night.

Or at least that’s what Maisie tells herself when she brings Jack Durand home. Because even though his arms are things of beauty and he can charm wild animals (a huge turn-on for an animal lover like her), she’s in no position to start anything with anyone. So she pretends she’s just scratching an itch.

Jack is pretending too. His little sister is

This being the third book in the series, we have seen a little of Jack and Maisie in the previous instalments, and now we get their tale and HEA. I do believe they are my favourite couple to date, but I am holding out for Lee as I think he is going to wow me.

These are all standalone novels, and can be read as one, but I do recommend you read from the start as even though each book is centred on one couple, they are all present and interactive in each book at all times. So knowing the previous c

What an emotional and entertaining read! It's getting better and better with each new book!
There's everything you need - a lot of laughter, comic disastrous scenes, heartstrings pulling moments, some drama, family bonds, friendship, love and those adorable dogs that makes you fall in love instantly!
Wonderful realistic loveable characters. I absolutely love aunt Dottie, even more now! Even though where's aunt Dottie involved, there's going to be some kind of disaster too.

I am loving this series!!! Maisie and Jack’s story is fun, flirty, tender and emotional. I laughed, I cried, I oohed and aahed. I really enjoyed getting to know Jack better. He has been pretty closed off, but turns out he is funny, sweet, loving, and a pet whisperer. Maisie has always been a firecracker, but underneath it all is hurting and grieving. Maisie and Jack give in to their attraction and instantly click at the beginning of the book. They try to fight their feelings, but as they get to ...more

A delightful Rom-com full of endearing characters and sassy banter.
After an eventful Buchanan Thanksgiving dinner, sparks fly between Jack and Maisie but they agree it's just for one night. Jack's life is beyond complicated. In addition to running a brewery with his three half siblings, he is also dedicated to raising his seventeen year old sister Iris, who is sparing Jack none of the teen angst, he just can't add a relationship to the mix. Maisie is dedicated to her animal shelter and is set h

I really liked this book. I think Jake and Masie have stories we needed to know. Jake has a lot going on and I hope everything will work out in the end. Masie has a past she needs to over come and work out her issues. I was glad to see these two get together. They was my couple pick. I knew sparks would be there if they could get everything worked out. There is a lot of learning in this book. It seems everyone finds their place in the family by the end. There is still all the fun you expect with ...more

If you haven't picked up this series yet, what are you waiting for?! Getting Lucky is the 3rd installment in the Asheville Brewing series and the best book in the series so far! This book is filled with sooo much Buchanen family drama and Dottie antics it's hard not to love it!

Both Maisie and Jack are such relatable characters, it's hard not to love them! Maisie overcomes so many of her fears in this book, thanks to the help of Jack and his sister Iris, that it makes you want to concur some of y

I absolutely loved Getting Lucky. Jack and Maisie are so fun. I have loved each book of this series even more than the last, which is crazy because I have loved each book so much. Getting Lucky has the entertaining Buchanan Brewery parties that I absolutely love and find hilarious. Jack is more fun than I thought he would be based in previous book. Maisie is just as sassy and fun and I hoped. Iris is wonderful and I hope to see more of her. I love Maisie's sisters too and would love to see more ...more

I really enjoyed getting to know more about Jack in this installment. The mystery that has surrounded Jack in the past books is finally revealed and it just opened the floodgates. It can be a emotional book for some but I found it bittersweet. There is some comedy, and angst. I don’t think I’ll ever look at a goose the same ever again. If you know, you know! 🤣
We get to see several of the past characters in this installment. We also get to see Lee and Vic-tor-ia.😂

With each new entry in this series, I fall more in love with the Buchanan family. Although each book stands alone, I’m so glad that we still get to see glimpses into the romantic progress of the couples in the later books. Finn might still be my pick of all the boys so far, but Jack is a VERY close second, and the love story between Maisie and Jack is definitely my favorite of all. I loved watching the two of them fall in love, and it was so nice to dive into their pasts. I was worried that the ...more

I thoroughly enjoyed this addition to the series. This writing duo have found their footing and the town they've created is adorably quirky and entertaining!

Maisie's transformation is slow, but compelling to watch. Having had her life upended with the death of her parents, it's understandable that she wants to keep everything else the same. (This is how some hoarding situations start.) It was beautiful to see her friends understanding the effort it took her to change, and were patient and suppor

Finally getting to know more about Jack! In the previous two books in this series, Jack has been somewhat of a mystery, although in book 2 we get to know a little more about him although nothing from his past. Jack has had a difficult childhood with the present parent he had, and at a young age he took responsibility of his little sister. When his mother continues to be unstable, Jack ends up getting custody of his sister, which requires her to relocate to town with him during her senior year. M ...more

I have to start by saying Getting Lucky had the PERFECT amount of steam! You could feel the flirting, teasing, and sexual tension through the pages! It’s perfect without being crude.

I love how this series highlights the supporting characters and gives them growth and dimension and in Getting Lucky Dottie took the stage! She starts the book with her trademark tomfoolery, orchestrates love stories seemingly invisibly, and ends up standing up to Prescott in a most heroic way!

Finally we get to find out Jack’s backstory. Iris comes to live with Jack and she isn’t the normal 17 yo story. Jack is a wonderful parent/brother and is learning to balance the roles. Jack has had to adjust in so many new roles he isn’t sure that he belongs.
Iris, Jack’s sister is a wonderful character that I thoroughly enjoy.
The story starts off at Thanksgiving and brings us to the new year. An Engagement party, Bachelor & Bachelorette parties and crime make this an action packed book.

GL is book three in the Asheville Brewing Series and tells Jack and Maisie's story. Every book is an interconnected stand-alone. The previous books are Any Luck at All - My favorite in this series; and Better Luck Next Time.
The story picks up where the previous book was left off.
Jack, the half sibling of the Buchannan sisters moved in the family home and works gor the family business.
Maisie, River's friend manages a shelter and has had a crush on him for forever. And now that she gets a better

If you are looking for a light hearted romance read filled with love, drama, scandal, and funny chaos than look no further. Like the previous two books in this series, you will be find yourself laughing out loud and feeling all the emotions. The Buchanan siblings may have had a rough start, but they are realizing (with the help of Dottie) that family and friends are all you need to be happy; and that love really does exist. Jack and Maisie are adorable and the perfect couple. They both have thei ...more

This is the 3rd book in the series and I love, love, love them!! They just keep getting better and better. I love to see the relationships between the characters and how they are evolving. At the beginning of the 1st book, there were either no relationships or very contentious ones. It has been nice to see them trying and how they are trying to be a family. Jack always struck me as a jerk, but it was nice to see a new side of him and his inter most thoughts. Maise was always a character I was no ...more

Jack Durrand shows who he really is and what type of character he portrays and what exactly is under that skin. Maisie has been my favorite since the beginning. She’s wears her heart on her sleeve, especially for her rescue pups. Animals are fabulous detectors for knowing a good person, or not. The way she got Iris and Jack involved with the shelter was sweet. The siblings have had it rough but Maisie brought them back to being just siblings, not guardian and charge. Although this is book 3, you could read it out of order. However, there is a little continuing storyline with Jack’s siblings and their dad ...more

The Asheville Brewing series is just so adorable and Jack and Maisie’s story in Getting Lucky is no different! The combination of humor, banter, sweet romance, emotion, and, of course, all the pups in the shelter and otherwise makes for a great read. I laughed out loud several times. Just overall another well woven story by DGS and AR Casella! Jack had interested me since day one of the first novel and I was dying to know more about him. Maisie, on the other hand, had kind of rubbed me the wrong ...more

This is an action-packed rom-com full of laughs, mischief, love, and even crime. But let’s start at the beginning. This is the Buchanan family’s story: four adult siblings trying to save their late grandfather’s brewery in Asheville, NC. In their path, they not only discover their roots but also find friendship and love.
In this third installment, we read the story of Jack and his one-night stand with Maisie that quickly becomes much, much more than that. Jack’s sister Iris, his aunt Dottie, reb

I adore this series. Every couple has an entertaining, interesting, and incredibly romantic story, and I think Jack's and Maisie's is my favorite yet. The chemistry was off the charts from the start, but heavy baggage held both back. As the crazy that is Asheville ensues, and they are thrown together over and over, it just impossible for them not to love each other. They are such compliments to each other, and they grow stronger together than either one was apart. With an intriguing twist that r ...more

I’m loving the Asheville Brewery series! Jack and Maisie may be my favorite so far. To me they seem to be the most natural and realistic duo so far. They try their best to avoid a relationship but fate keeps bringing them together.
I also love that Iris plays a big part in this book. I love how she evolved from beginning to end.
I’m excited for the next book. Probably more than the others. If anyone needs Dottie to work some magic it’s definitely Lee!

Getting Lucky is the third book from The Asheville Brewing Series.
The series is about the Buchanan siblings Georgie, Adalia, Lee and Jack who inherit a brewery from their grandfather. In each book, the impact their father’s coldness and greed has had upon their personal lives is examined by their inability to communicate with each other as well as trust and love another. The character development and exploration drives each book. The insecurities, pain and fear are real in each life. I find mys
Reading In the Red Room
Book 3 in the Asheville Brewing Series. Maisie and Jack have admired/judged each other from afar off and on. Until one interesting evening. Can it be more? Should it be more? Should she stick to just loving animals? Does he have to much on his plate? This series definitely has the cast of characters. Maisie and Jack definitely have chemistry and a strong pull towards each other, they just needed a good push in the right direction.

I laughed so hard reading this book. I smiled at the sweetness until my cheeks hurt. And I may have even shed a couple tears.

The antics of the side characters was as hilarious as the first two books. But I felt more emotions from this one. Between Maisie, Jack, and Iris there was so much heartbreak. But it made them finding each other even sweeter. And I loved getting to know Jack and Maisie better. This series has really amazing characters.

I knew this book was going to be good when it started with the petting zoo mishap! I loved getting to know Maisie better and watch her let go of the past and be open to what Jack holds for her. And Jack...he was a surprise! I loved how funny and sweet he turned out to be!! I loved that these two were able to find closure & happiness with each other.
This series just keeps getting better and I can't wait to see what's next!!

Have you ever felt so strongly about characters in a book, that you want to reach in and smack them upside the head? Well that how I felt about Jack and Maize!!! I really loved reading about them in book 3 of the Asheville Brewing series. They are currently my favorite couple. Had so much fun reading this book, made me laugh out loud way to many times, and screaming at other times. Overall another great read to add to the list. Cannot wait until next one. Recomend reading whole series in order.

The third book in the Asheville Brewery series. It is a great romance. I love finding out more about Jack’s past. The sparks fly between Jack & Maisie. One time is never enough & you can feel it while reading this book. If you haven’t read this series you should. I’m sure you’ll love as much as I did.
