"Once again, Jackie was on her own" (Ashby p. 40).
Without a doubt, Jackie Kennedy was one of the most elegant First Ladies America has been taught about. However, how many of us really know her history and her grievances? In this edition of the First Ladies series, we are given the story of Jackie: who she was and how she came to be.

I was surprised to find that this book was published in 2005- I would have wished to have found it when I did my report on Jackie Kennedy back in high school. While it is not as packed as other biographies, it held my attention the whole time. I also appreciated the structure which appeared more in story form.

Again, nonfiction books deserve 5 stars simply for being able to give information in a successful way that students can use.
