A quick read. I loved that Jessica Carlson got to solve the murder. I was glad to see Sabrina and David were enjoying their retirement, though Sabrina needed to slow down on the worrying. I enjoyed this story a lot.
I received this story as a gift, and this is my unsolicited review.
Thoughts On Plot: This is a very quirky and easy read. It could easily be read all in one sitting. It's wholesome and charming. Definitely a book that can be read during the holidays. It's light and fluffy. There's not too much going on. This book is perfect for reading during downtimes or times when the reader isn't really interested in reading heavy plot filled books. Thoughts On Characters: The characters were all quirky. None of them were really memorable. To be fair, it's really a very short read. It's not really a story that has a lot of meat in it. Not enough to fully get to know the characters. It's cute though and the characters are too. Notable Points In Book: This is a book that could be taken to family gatherings and parties. It's something that can be read during downtimes. Rating On Narrator: 3 of 5 Stars to Stephanie Quinn Thoughts On Audiobook: I really enjoyed the narration of this narrator. She made the book feel cozy and adorable with her voice. The only problem I had was her male voices. They came off a bit creepy and angry. Suggestions For Author: Other than making it a longer book, none that I can think of. Would I Recommend?: I would. It's a very light and fluffy read. I enjoyed it very much.
Peppermint Latte with a Side of Murder, My fifty-second short read/listen from prolific author Meredith Potts, Well-written & enjoyable. another cute, clean cozy mystery. Peppermint Latte with a Side of Murder was a great read by Meredith Potts. Sabrina would like to have her family together for Christmas, but her daughter was in the middle of investigating a murder. Sabrina Carlson wants her family home for Christmas but now her daughter is old enough and she is investigating a murder. So now wit David retired and moved away from Treasure Cove to the Ashford Community. This is a quick, easy, clean cozy mystery as Meredith Potts does a great job maintaining interest. Stephanie Quinn is a great narrator. Enjoy your read.
Oh, how fun it was to go back to Treasure cove and see some amazing characters again. I loved this case and how close to the wire it came to making Christmas dinner not happen. Great detectives work all hours and luckily they solved the case just in time.
Sabrina wants to have a family Christmas, but Jessica has a murder case she has to wrap up before she can head out to her parents house for Christmas. Can she solve the murder and save Christmas?
