“The gag is for you, princess. You don’t want the whole crew hearing your business, do you?”

She shakes her head before she can stop herself. It’s another lie. I’d bet my life on it. I’d bet she would get wetter if I lined them all up outside the door and made them watch. I circle her mouth with a fingertip, then undo my pants.

She’s tied up, gagged, humiliated, and her eyes move down over my body to the cock that’s about to fuck her.

I don’t think those eyes can get any wider.

Then she sees my p

The moment I make contact she breaks her own rules. Ashley arches off the bed and into me, as close as she can get. As close as she was in the water, but she’s half naked and I’m fully fucking clothed and it is killing me. I finger-fuck her back across the bed until it’s not me she’s straining against, it’s the chain around her ankle, and I lean down to speak directly into her ear.

“Do you feel that?”

A sob. “Yes.”

I fuck her harder, as deep as I can get. “I’m not talking about my fingers, princ

I have been reading and loving everything Amelia Wilde for a while now. But this story, right here, just blew my mind away. Destroyed. Undone. The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea is the epic and larger than life romance that is just too impossible to praise with words. Action. Drama. Romance. Suspense. Angst. Steam. All came together impossibly well with Amelia Wilde's brilliant writing.

Ashley was on a secret vacation with her boyfriend. And their yacht gets attacked and her boyfriend is killed and
Who knew modern-day pirates could be so damn sexy?
I mean seriously... this Poseidon dude is something else. Imagine a sexy as sin tattooed sea god, all muscles and power, closed-off and intense, with a take no prisoners attitude (well... it depends on the prisoner really). I would have him save me from drowning every day of the week. ;)
Ashley, the love interest, is a young social media sweetheart, sheltered and naïve. Suffice it to say, she was not my favorite character but I hope she will grow

The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea is the sexy pirate romance that we've all been waiting for. Amelia Wilde gives readers a steamy and exciting story that kicks off this series with a bang and will leave them wanting more.

"You're making me question my own ethics, princess. That doesn't bode well for you."

Poseidon and Ashley were both well written characters. They came from completely different worlds and crashed together in a completely unexpected way. Readers know Poseidon from his brothers' book

Amelia Wilde has done it again With The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea, delivering another amazing read full of dark, mysterious and flawed but beautiful characters. This book was an enticingly dark and delicious read that I could NOT put down! I couldn’t get enough of Poseidon’s cruel sensuality. He is so dark and mysterious but I can tell he has a heart of gold under all those many layers of ice. I think he is going to be my favorite of the three brothers. Ashley is the perfect match for him and ...more

Poseidon. Wow. He was so much more than I was expecting and hoping for, I was thinking a brooding sea captain but I got buckets and buckets more than that. Ashley doesn’t know what hit her, it’s an amazing experience that is epic from chapter one. She goes from tragedy to tragedy getting stronger along the way, and all the while Poseidon’s barriers are becoming weaker to the pearl he didn’t know he was searching for. This cliffhanger has my adrenaline pumping and my insides screaming for what ha ...more

The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea

These Gods amongst men! The last brother, the one who was hardest to reach the one who makes cameo appearances, Poseidon!

Tidbits have told us just a bit about this man, he loves the water, he maybe involved in legitimate shipping, and he’s probably a pirate!

Ashley Donnelly, spoiled little rich girl goes on a weekend outing with boyfriend Robbie Morrison. It starts out grand, lazing in the sun, fooling her father as to where she is and findi

Since I got my first glance of sea loving Poseidon I couldn't wait for his story. The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea is book one of his trilogy and it had me hooked from chapter one!!

What happens when you decide to sneak away and spend spring break with your boyfriend, on his family's yacht? Ask poor Ashley....things go terribly wrong and it seems like her tragic family history may repeat itself. Ashley only has a split second to make a decision....stay on board and be found or jump ship!

I have to say that even reading and loving Hades and Zeus (the King Of Shadows & the Richer Than God series) could not fully prepare me for Poseidon. Let me just say that this pirate looted my heart, had me all feeling swoony and hot and bothered. The storyline is lush and enticing. The well crafted and brilliantly developed world lures you in like a Sirens song and before you know it you are in so deep you don't ever want to escape and you will in fact be extremely annoyed when your real life i ...more

Be still my pirate loving heart!!!
Amelia has ruined me completely!I want to get lost at see and find myself amongst Poseidon and his crew!!

The Devil and the Deep Blue is a dark romance, and is book one in Poseidon’s books.

The title of this book is unbelievably fitting for both Ashley and Poseidon.
Both of them are in tough situations with two equally unfortunate options.

Poseidon is a lot more compassionate than expected, however the real pirate comes out to play a time or two and wow, is it

I am struggling to review this book, honestly. This is my first book by this author and I really wanted to love, but I didn't, but I didn't dislike it either. I had some serious issues with it.
We meet rich girl socialite Ashley when she sets out on holiday with her boyfriend on his yacht. when he’s killed by what we believe to be his drug dealers, to save herself, she jumps off the yacht

Omg. Omg. O.M.G!!!! This is without a doubt my favorite book by Amelia! From the PERFECT cover to every word until the last page was wonderfully twisted and consuming! I knew I was going to love Poseidon when we were introduced to him back in Hades books. I couldn't wait to meet him. He definitely seemed like the more laid back brother, that statement couldn't be more wrong!!! In most ways he's cool calm and collective on the outside, and in the same breath he's undoubtedly cruel demanding and h ...more

Holy Crikey,

I said no one could surpass Hades. Then I met Zeus. I then said no one could surpass him. I should have known better than to even issue that challenge because Poseidon just put those two men to shame. Each book in this modern retelling of mythological characters is even better than the last time, and I am not just talking about the characters themselves but rather the fact that the storyline itself seems to have gotten better.

This book has all the suspense and mystery that the first

I absolutely loved this book! I was obsessed with the Greek mythology aspect and how Amelia Howard brought Poseidon’s story to the modern day. This is the third series that follows Zeus, Hades, and now Poseidon.

This was a short read and man I just gobbled it up. There was a perfect amount of plot and steam. I am going to give this book 4.8 stars. I wanted to give it 5 stars, but I did not agree with a part at the end. This book explores consensual non consent which is something I love in a book.

I don't know where to even begin, this dark romance was absolutely wonderful. It had action, suspense, and tension. I would say this story isn't for the faint of hearts, there are a lot of situations that are uncomfortable to read. But the overall story was so intense, and it was fast pace the whole time.
Poseidon is haunted by this past and feel as though he can only have one love and it's the sea. But Ashley challenges all he thinks he knows and feels. Throughout the book Poseidon is angry, ha

So...... yeah. My brain is working up all kinds of theories right now! While to some this might seem like a complete Stockholm Syndrome story I don't think that would be an accurate way to describe it. Ashley is a spoiled princess.... and Poseidon is the compete opposite of any man that she has ever been with. So I am pretty sure that, while it might not have been love at first, she was already into him after not even being his hostage for very long. I want to say that I am not a fan of her dad ...more

Wow! This is possibly the most exciting book in Amelia Wilde's universe of modern retellings of the Greek mythology of the gods. A page-turner par excellence!

This book took my breath away, a little more with each page turned.
Poseidon is one of the most intense characters I have read about. Ever. Just reading about him had me constantly on edge. He's scary and exciting, a woman's alpha male dream and worst nightmare ever, all at the same time.
And Ashley? I loved her, too. Her bravery and good he

Okay, so I have to admit right now that I have a huge soft spot for Poseidon. He’s such a take-charge kind of guy. And with Ashley he finds himself drawn to her, to help her. He just can’t help himself with her, and for the first time in his life he can’t just walk away.

Ashley lied to her dad about a girls trip, when she’s actually with her boyfriend. But her boyfriend has secrets that she had no clue about. So when she ends up jumping off his yacht in the middle of the ocean with nothing but a

The lull of the water, the ripple of the tide, every single gorgeous description in this book brought me to my happy place. The one I desperately needed after not being able to travel over this past year.

Amelia Wilde transported me to the ocean, a place I miss and probably won't get to visit in the near future. From the very first page where Ashley is sitting upon her deck chair in the bright sun I could feel the waves moving under the posh yacht of which she sat, then the moment she jumped int

This is the first book I have read from this author, and I have to say, I was not expecting this read to be so dark. That’s on me though. ;) This level of dark usually isn’t my thing, however, I CANNOT wait to read the remaining books to complete this series. I just have to see how Amelia Wilde turns this anti-hero around. Will I end up liking him? Only time will tell.

This story first had me thinking about Pirates of the Caribbean. And in a way it was similar but different. It has that modern day pirates feel. During this story, I had many feelings. I had a love-hate relationship with Poseidon. There were times were I loved him and other times where I just wanted to slap him. Similarly with Ashley there were times where I shook my head in disbelief at her actions and other instances where I understood her behaviour. There was drama galore and Ashley does crea ...more

THAT COVER! The tattooed guy, the blue and yellow colors, the sea in the background … the whole composition. Alll of it. I can’t stop staring at it and drooling over it. Holy hell!

What it’s hiding inside is just as good. A modern-day pirate story. A dirty-taking, PIERCED alpha-hole anti-hero, with that mysterious vibe his brothers share too. And the forced proximity the confined space of a ship brings only adds to the insane intensity of that man. And when he lets his pirate personality show … Y

Amelia Wilde has kicked off 2021 with an incredible and different story. I was totally intrigued by the title so was very excited to get an early copy to read. I have been a long time reader of Amelia and have enjoyed her angsty romantic books, but honestly The Devil kicks it up to a whole new level.

The heroine is Ashley the naive rich girl, protected by Daddy's money until suddenly she isn't, and she has to face a terrifying reality. This brings her face to face with Poseidon, incredibly gorgeo
