I made a mistake seven years ago and opened my mouth, letting words fly out of it that I didn’t mean. I said something about the one person I never wanted to hurt and lost my best friend. Now she’s back and needs help her with her loss, and I’m going to be the best rock in the history of rocks and make it right between us again.
I’d do anything to get Bexley Heath back in my life, even if it means helping out with her dog, who hates me and loves to destroy everything around him.
Time doesn’t kill love. Neither does a giant Irish Wolfhound eating my favorite chair.
Bexley
I’d successfully avoided Logan Richards for seven years, but somehow losing my grandpa brought him back into my life. Perhaps Papa was right when he said in his last letter that it was time to get over it and just let it go. Life’s too short, and forgiveness is divine, right?
He’s my anchor when I need it and my tissues when I cry. But that doesn’t mean I can’t reward my dog for causing him grief and destroying some of his furniture, though, does it? To heck with it, good Doyle.
I’m a British author who grew up all over the world. My parents were diplomats, so we were posted to all of the corners of the earth and it was a blast. Some wouldn’t seem so awesome if you heard about them, but my parents always made it a fun experience and it molded my brother and I into who we are today.
I live in Wiltshire in the west country of the UK. At random times of the day, I’ll hear a moo from the fields around me, or get a whiff of that…uhhh…’country air’, and I love it! I might not have grown up in the UK, but I’m a British girl to the bone (regardless of the suspicious whiffs coming in from the fields).
I’m a single mother with a son who is nearing his teenage phase. Maybe he’s reached it early? Who knows. But he’s awesome and has a personality and sense of humor that I can only attribute to my family. We’re slightly bonkers, we have a wicked sense of humor and we find the positives in every situation. I’m so proud to be his mum and to watch him grow and mature.
Writing was something that I’d always done. I had a teacher in the third grade who always set us the task of writing a story and making it into a book every weekend. After I left school, I kept this up and wrote as often as I could or just plotted out books. This evolved into me taking the plunge and publishing my first book in 2016 and I’ve been typing ever since.
I’m proud to be an Indie Author, and I absolutely love writing out my crazy Providence characters and the more complex ones in my other series’. It doesn’t matter if it’s romantic comedy or something with more suspense – so long as it has a HEA I’ll do it!
I’ve got so many more planned, so the best is yet to come.
I enjoyed this one alittle more then the last one. We got some angst, steam and drama and still some crazy things from this town.
Logan made a huge mistake 7 years ago because he didnt know how to tell Bexley his best friend that he had some feelings for her, but he was a jerk and told his then girlfriend that he only was around Bex because her dad paid him. And that's where the drama happened and he lost Bex as a friend and for awhile. Bex moved away from her broken heart and made sure never to go back until 7 years later when she had to because grandpa died. This tragic event brought her back and now she dealing with that and Logan who is now by her side making sure shes good.
Moving back home is never a easy deal, and with Logan always trying to cheer her up, help her fix up her grandpa place. Their friendship slowly starts to turn into a relationship. But they also have to deal with some town drama.
Low angst, no ow/om drama, no cheating, slight secondary character, sexy times, no virgins

I'm not going to 1 star this... but this was a DNF for me. I couldn't get into it. Thought the set-up was good... but then... there was no real confrontation/resolution to what had happened seven years earlier. I only read up to chapter 6... and they had had more than one conversation and had spent plenty of time together. Considering that she left when she was 18 and hadn't been back... it was just weird. There is a massive difference in who you are at 18 and who you are at 25... so, whilst this series has consistently been a win for me... this one isn't. I am way more interested in Carter and Naomi.
3.7 stars. This was cute. I especially enjoyed the moments of humor. Like their first kiss…I could not stop laughing at that when I read it.
This book had two plots going. There was their romance, and then there was Logan’s case. Of course they intertwined a bit, but they didn’t have much to do with each other.
I liked both of them. Their romance was a little rocky at first, but was sweet and passionate from the start. And the case was sort of a continuation of what had been happening in their town for basically years. All coming together to finally put some people behind bars.
The sex was hot and fun. The plots were entertaining. The animals and side characters were cute and fun to see again. And the humor was a riot.
Bexley and Logan’s story was one for the books (no pun intended 😝) Logan hurt Bexley and it took her grandfather’s death to come back to her small town after being away for 7 years. Logan takes this opportunity to wrong his rights and be there for her even if she doesn’t want him there. This book is about second chances and living life like it’s your last day. I cried and laughed too many times to count‼️‼️
Some groups would say this was not safe. As a teen he developed feeling for her but since he didn't want to be tied down he found himself a girlfriend of sorts. He was a pretty crappy get as some of them tend to be. I am not sure if they were celibate in their 7 year separation but I think they were not. There were some really funny parts and some a bit OTT.
Mary B. Moore never fails to give me a plethora of hilarious new statements that I want to work into my everyday life. She has this knack to give you serious books, that are riddled with humor as well. Logan and Bex were best friends until Logan made a stupid mistake and Bex leaves their small town for 7 years. She comes back after the death of her grandfather...and while they don't pick up exactly where they left off, the two of them realize how much that moment changed both of their lives. However, neither one of them use it as a tool against the other. Bex understands why she left, and why she didnt' come back, but she questions those decisions all the same. Logan gets why Bex left, and why didn't come back, and he wishes that he could have done things differently. We have that amazing blend that Moore always gives us with some bad things happening, but there is never a dull moment when there any resident of Piersville involved. This is an amazing author and series, and I can't get enough of either one.
Love everything Mary B. Moore!! Her writing style just flows. The storyline's are full of laughter, twists in the storyline, and memorable characters. Still my all time favorite is Cole and Grandpa Hurst. If I could be a part of the Townsend family their definitely wouldn't be a dull moment. Loved this installment to the Cheap Thrills Series. I think readers would really benefit from reading all of her books especially the Providence Series where it all started. I highly recommend this author and all of her books. I'm excited for her new one "Absolution" it's already downloaded and released today! Thanks Jamie Nibarger Ellis
I love this author!! She never fails to put a smile on my face and I have to say on more than one occasion, tears were rolling down my face!! The shenanigans that happen in her books make my stomach ache from laughing so hard and this book is no different! Logan really messed up and seven years later, his best friend finally comes home. Unfortunately the circumstances aren't the best, but he is there to catch her, if she lets him. Throw in the crazies too and this is a hell of a read! This author draws you in every time and I love it!!
She is such an awesome writer everyone should read her books. They've jumped me out of some sad times with her crazy humor and made me cry with the relatable stories. They keep you gripped till the end and then make you want the stories to never end. HURST For President
I have loved the cheap thrill series. Every book in this series is funny! I'm not sure where Mary B Moore comes up with this stuff but it's hilarious. I absolutely love the characters in this book and love peirsville. This book will be re-read, one I will be re reading often. I can't wait for the next one!
I loved this book. It has angst, funny moments, a little bit of suspense. Logan made a mistake when he wasn’t honest with his best friend Hexley. This book is them working toward getting what they both deserve. Each other. I have never laughed so hard on a book. Loved Hurst in this one and the other Townsends.
Very good book. Logan was sweet, I liked him a lot, he waited for her and when she came back, he only wanted to be with her in any way he could. Bexley was a funny and good woman. They were a very cute couple, loved them. And I would love to read more about the Palmerstown police officers, I adored them in this book
The title of this book caught my eye and I just had to read it. This is my first book by this author but I realize I have to go back and read more. I loved the story. It has everything. I laughed so hard, felt the excitement and lived through the hopes and fears. So glad I found you Mary B. Moore.
I laughed so much through this whole book. I loved Bex's and Logan's story. I really liked that we got to see what was going on in the town and with the Piersville residents. I 100% recommend this book!
Excellent so funny, I'm in pain with my ribs through laughing so much, I belly laughed not just titters. Such a great book but will have to read it again as I was laughing so much I may have missed some.
I have to say have a love like did is hard to understand. But am glad they end up working it out and ended up back together. Can not wait to see what happens in the next book.
