Now that he’s found them,

he can’t let them go.

The last person Abe Armstrong thought would walk through the door of his gym is Rosemary Williams, the woman he once secretly married. Even more surprising is the little girl at her side—his daughter. It’s been four years since Abe and Rosemary broke each other’s hearts…and he hopes this time will be different. But first Abe

This book opens with some awkward moments between the two main characters, Abe Armstrong and Rosemary Williams. As the plot moves forward, we find out what is causing their mutual discomfort. Rosemary's adorable, precocious three-year-old daughter, Georgia, steals the show from the moment she appears on the page early in Chapter One.

Abe and Rosemary have a history together beginning in high school. The author does an excellent job of revealing the details of their relationship only when she fee
Finding His Family combines the secret baby and second chance tropes. Rosemary and Abe were secretly married four years earlier. These two had major communication issues back then and even throughout this story, they did not communicate very well until the end of the book. Truths finally began to come out and conversations eventually happened between the two of them and with their family members. It made all of the difference.

I was appalled at the power and anger that Rosemary’s father wielded o

#BookReview: FINDING HIS FAMILY by Christina Miller 3.5 stars

The cover is really nice. This is my first book by the author so I don’t have any idea as to her style. Abe Armstrong returned home and opened a gym that caters to people suffering from Parkinson’s disease. Rosemary is back in town as well to help her parents. Their paths collide at the gym since her dad has Parkinsons. The dialogues are good. I have enjoyed the cute and smart Georgia. She just says the most adorable things. I like Ros

This book has so many elements that make a great story: an Army veteran who's returned home to serve his community, a young woman raising her little girl by herself, and an adorable three-year-old who steals your heart from the get-go! Yes, Finding His Family has fantastic characters, an intriguing plot , and a second chance at love, but it also has a vengeful father determined to destroy his daughter's future happiness!

Finding His Family tugged at my heart from the first page to the last. This heartwarming story combines themes of faith, forgiveness, old hurts and hopeful futures seamlessly, with well-drawn, multidimensional characters and a beautiful Southern setting. I was rooting for Abe and Rosemary to rediscover love, and I quickly fell in love with little scene-stealer Georgia. I look forward to the next offering from this author. Highly recommended!

Thank you in advance to the author, Christina Miller, for providing a complimentary review copy through JustRead Publicity Tours. A positive review was not required or requested. All words are my own.

As a fan of the Love Inspired series (as well as the Love Inspired Suspense), I enjoy most of the stories put out by the authors – whether I am familiar with them, or they’re like Miller – “new-to-me”. Finding His Family was no exception.

For those battling Parkinson’s or those who know someone, th

In Finding His Family by Christina Miller, Abe Armstrong returned home from his time in the armed services and opened a gym in his home town. Before he left to join the army, he secretly married Rosemary. . .but Rosemary's struggles with her father kept them from living as man and wife. As a result, Abe got tired of waiting for her to do the right thing and left to join the army. Then Rosemary moved to another town, pregnant with their child. Abe didn't know he had a daughter until the day they ...more

This was a great contemporary romance novel from a new-to-me-author! While the secret baby trope isn't generally one of my favorites, I really enjoyed this one especially the twist on it, the hero and heroine being married secretly! That's not a spoiler, it's mentioned in the book decription. Abe and Rosemary were great main characters, I loved how they were eac so caring and were always putting others first! I especially loved that this story features two of my favorite things, a hero and heroi ...more

Finding His Family is part of the Love Inspired Romance collection. Not having read any previous books by Christina Miller, I did not know quite what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. It is a captivating love story, one that draws the reader in right from the start and keeps the attention right through to the last page. Miller has done a fantastic job creating vibrant characters with poignant histories. They are realistic--all their flaws, foibles, and faults are there along with their str ...more

A heartwarming second chance romance, with a full cast of fantastic characters.

Engaging from the start, it drew me right in. I absolutely loved the idea of Rock Steady Boxing, as Parkinson's is something that my family knows well, and admired Abe's passion for helping others, as well as how he has worked hard to get to where he is. Rosemary is a wonderful mother, with a gift for organization, marketing, and working with children, I admired how hard she worked bother for her father and to help

Finding His Family by Christina Miller is a Love Inspired story about a secret marriage, a secret baby, and a matchmaking granny making this an enjoyable read.

Abe is a complex mix of confident and insecure, depending on his situation. His time in the Armed Forces built his confidence, but his backstory drags him back to the insecure boy he used to be. Rosemary is a mother bear for sure, but her relationship with her father makes things rather complicated. Whether they can overcome their past to

Finding His Family is part of the Love Inspired series which I have come to really like reading. This was a heart-warming story of forgiveness, family, faith, and a little matchmaking. It was well-written, the storyline was developed, and the pacing was perfect. The characters were charming especially the daughter of the main character, Georgia. She definitely takes the cake on cuteness!

This story was easy to read with great characters. It made me laugh and cry. I loved reading about Abe and Rosemary‘s friendship and how well they got along together. It made me sad that they allowed their family and insecurities to get in the way of their relationship.

I loved Rosemary‘s daughter Georgia and Grannie. They definitely added a great family element to the story. It’s amazing how innocent children can help and heal others. I was especially intrigued by Abe’s gym transformation and hi

My review: This is an interesting story of young love and family expectations, gone wrong, terribly wrong. Abe is plagued by his father’s bad decisions and how others in the community treated his family. This causes him to doubt his worth and make rash decisions that impacted Rosemary and others. Rosemary was loved and adored by her parents, but her father’s severe control of her and others forced Rosemary to deny her feelings and love for others.

Secret Marriage. An unknown daughter. These themes can be overdone. BUT this author wrote about such enjoyable characters and wrote such a great storyline that I ended up really, really liking this book. Faith was a strong element and so was grace. But there was also an emphasis on growing up - on moving forward. These transformations were of both people and actually places in this story. I think this theme is true to life. God saves us, but then he also wants us to move on from the places where ...more

This is my first book by Christina Miller. In “Finding His Family”, Abe Armstrong runs a gym in his hometown of Natchez which is where he has his first encounter with his wife that he abandoned four years prior. Unbeknownst to him, she was pregnant at the time. However, he finds out about his daughter on this same encounter at the gym when Rosemary brings her dad for his boxing class to help with his Parkinson’s disease. Unlike a lot of the books I have recently read where a guy does not realize ...more
A nice, pleasant read. More than a bit of fantasy regarding the time frames and how much can be accomplished in the less than two week time frame of the story, but nice, nonetheless.
