Harry Connolly is in Warsaw on his first assignment as a CIA officer. An agent report that the KGB has a source inside the CIA sets off a series of events that puts Harry in the the crosshairs of his worst enemies.
Cold War spy fiction the way I like it - gritty, realistic, with taut suspense and just the right amount of action to give it bite without overwhelming the underlying plot. The author's long years of experience in the business certainly show, though at times there was a bit too much infodumping. Definitely need to check out more of his books, though.
