I didn’t realize it until just a minute ago, but I have a number of books by this author, a couple of which I have already read and enjoyed, and even more that I can look forward to reading. I have been reading this all year on Sundays, and I have really gotten a lot out of it. I am going to go find another book of this author’s to read now that I’ve finished this one. Highly recommended.
How Great is Thy Faithfulness by Robert J. Morgan spoke to me in such a deep and healing way. Morgan's easy writing style and personal perspectives show great faith and the peace, comfort, and quiet assurance that are fruits of that faith.
I loved reading this book. I highlighted passages, meditated on them, prayed about them. This book is a keeper, and I feel blessed to have found it!
I enjoy all of Robert J. Morgan's books immensely. I read this as a daily devotional and it was the encouragement I needed to remind me of God's faithfulness. I particularly like how he uses examples from his life.
Not to be harsh, but quite shallow and full of platitudes that fail to acknowledge the complexity of life and mystery of a sovereign God in a broken world. Felt like a “sweep it under the rug” with a “name it and claim it” spirituality that left a pretty bad taste in my mouth.
This is rather a sweet book, written by Robert J Morgan shortly after the death of his beloved wife, Katrina. It is a series of 52 short meditations on the theme of faithfulness. It's a nice devotional resource.
I have noticed that others, after they finished, said that they would read this book again. I plan on doing the same. It is a reassurance being reminded about the faithfulness of our God in times of trouble. Some times it's hard to see while going through difficult times until you look back when it's over. Robert Morgan uses situations in his own life to paint us a picture of how faithful God's grace has been to him through some of life's most difficult times. Something we all need to hold on to during the difficult times we too are facing.
I will probably read this book over and over. I loved it! I really felt a lot of compassion for the author, whose wife has passed away. His faith is encouraging and makes me realize I need to have more faith as well. I need to read his other books now.
