I have never rated a cookbook before, but I feel compelled to do so for this one. That should speak for how much I love this book.

This by far the best cookbook I've ever bought. I've used it more than all my other cookbooks combined. The recipes are straightforward and simple to follow, despite the usually extensive ingredient list. Even a beginner to curries could make delicious recipes from this book.

Most of the recipes I've tried have been delicious. A few were kind of mediocre, but that's because my tastes lean more towards spicy, and the few I haven't liked have been pretty plain (I don't want to say bland). I'm working my way through the book, I'm excited to try all the recipes I haven't yet tried. Ever recipe sounds great, unlike other cook books where you find some good recipes mixed in with the unimpressive ones.

Oh, and the chapter at the back with the recipes for chutneys and Indian breads is great! Everything you need in one book.

every recipe I've made has been a winner. I almost feel guilty that I only use one chapter (vegetarian) from this book, but it's so worth it.

The Curry Bible is a brilliant gem of a book. Author Mridula Baljekar offers dozens of recipes and techniques. Some of these techniques involve making your own spices. The book does concede that you may use Curry Powder, but where's the fun in that?

All of the images in the book are mouthwatering. I am not a chef, but I am tempted to make some of these recipes.

I did not purchase this book. I borrowed it from my local library, but that doesn't significantly impact my scoring. I enjoyed the book. Thanks for reading my review, and see you next time.

My wife’s the cook, I’m just the consumer, but everything she makes from this book is outstanding. I imagine I’d have to travel to London or Paris or New York to get such good Indian food…but of course it’s better when home made!

Probably the best curry cook book I ever bought... I picked it up in one of those pop up book shops in a suburban shopping centre for a very low price. I have not yet found a recipe that wasn't successful. Instructions are clear and simple and the results fragrant and tasty. Sometimes I like to phaff around with complex recipes from more exotic recipe books including Madhur herself, Hare Krishna and others but for everyday and even dead cert winner dinner party meals I would always go with this book :)
