Cassie and Daniel join the family for a fun day at the Branford Apple Orchard. They pick apples, enjoy a picnic lunch and then challenge Maggie and Rick to a race through the corn maze. Of course, Cassie stumbles across a corpse and then, as usual, starts investigating, as she’s sure the person the police have arrested is innocent! I have never heard of this author before, and I did enjoy Apple of My Die as I was introduced to Cassie Bridgestone, an amateur sleuth as she loves to crack mysteries. This time she finds a dead body in Banford Orchard while she competed with her two friends to get through the corn maze first and have them buy dinner for her and her friend, Daniel. This was a quick read. It’s fall fair time with apple picking, corn mazes and donuts. As Cassie and her friends and family go through the corn maze, she stumbles upon a dead people. Join Cassie as she investigates the murder. This was an enjoyable read with wonderful characters.
