A month has passed since the Eve Murders and my Awakening that cost me my sight. While I have learned to use the Astral Sight as my guide around the world, I am still reeling from the traumatic events of the battle between Obsidian Moon’s Crymsen Crescent and the Ragnar Circle.
While we have Regina Reuel, the figurative head of the Circle, in custody, there are still many unanswered questions about the Circle’s motives. I have finally returned to the field as an active member of the Crymsen Crescent thanks to physical therapy with my mate Arawn Grey and my captain, the dragon prince, Casimir Lorcan.
But the peace in Paradise Grove doesn’t last long as hellhounds are going missing and turning up as charred corpses in Southside. Although this district has always been a dangerous part of town, the amount of violence is not only worrisome but familiar as a copy-cat revives the Wolf of Eden, the monster of Paradise Grove.

Raised in a small town in the Mississippi Delta, she has a fondness for nature and the cotton fields that create Southern snow pastures in the fall. After writing her first novel when she was thirteen, Avery decided to pursue her dream as an author at a young age.
An alumnus of Delta State University in Cleveland, Mississippi, Avery graduated with a Bachelor’s in English. She also worked on the student-run newspaper, The Delta Statement, during her four-year career at Delta State as a copy-editor and Editor-in-Chief.

I absolutely adored this book! Once I started it, I couldn't put it down. The first book was great, but I must say, I think this one was so much better! You get to learn a lot more about Luce's past, which was extremely interesting to see how she ended up the way she is. It was also really fun to see growth in the other characters. I have to say my favorite is Casimir. I can't believe that there is only one book left in this series! It just seems like there is so much happening, but I'm excited to see where the author is going with the final book!

It's now around 03:00 - this story demanded I push through the blur as my eyes teared from strain to devour every last word before I sleep.

Where is the next one?!?
Please tell me there will be another book in this series !! I have so many questions. I definitely didn't see the plot twist in this one.
