Everything you need to know to lead people to Jesus.“What if God is using this moment to shake His Church, to equip, and to send us into the world to reach people who we might not have considered before? This, my friends, is indeed a kairos moment; a moment when the harvest is calling, ‘Come’. As you step into the pages of this book with a heart to learn, my prayer for you is that something fresh will awaken in your heart for the lost. My hope is that you will be empowered, equipped, and sent to reach the lost.”

The author came to preach at our church and speaks well, very passionate about evangelizing. Knowing that our Connect Groups will be using his book for our next study together, I decided to order it and get a head start.

It has proved to be one of those books which puts me in a dilemma when trying to review it. It would best be described as a toolkit for Christians wanting to go out and spread the word, to 'win souls' and, viewed purely as this, it gives good advice, equipping one with sound background knowledge and the do's and don'ts, the questions to ask and to be answered - you get the idea.

For anyone who would describe themselves as a quiet Christian, you may well find it a bit full on; hard to imagine yourself in the suggested situations and delivering the suggested words.

Absolutely, I understand that, as followers of Christ we are the 'sent out' and we should be talking about our faith and explaining to others the whys and wherefores of what we believe and why; I just tend to do it by the way I behave, the way I live my life and bringing my faith into everyday conversations and situations. It may well be that the 'problem', if there is one, is with me and that I need to be more proactive.

As a toolkit, for someone ready and willing to take the bit between their teeth and get out there, brilliant. Even for those quiet, more reluctant people like me, there is certainly good advice and pointers to be found but you might find yourself being drawn in and repelled in equal measures!
