Really enjoyed this book. An adult read that was hot. I mean sizzling. Thank you. Never boring. Characters felt real and everyday people.

She fell from the sky and crash-landed in the middle of nowhere in the middle of winter. Her rescuer came in the form of an elusive mountain man and his pet wolf. What starts out as a search and rescue mission turns into a life-changing and seemingly fated romance.

Having escaped a life filled with daily reminders of a personal tragedy, Luke is content to live of off mother nature for his continued means of survival. As an aloof mountain man, he is a man of action and has very little need for words or emotion. When Charlie suddenly enters his existence, Luke's hurtful words say one thing, but his physical response to her says another. Slightly confused, Charlie continues her relentless pursuit of getting him to open up and explore not only his past, but his denied feelings for her as well. Once the ice starts to melt things really begin to heat up. Desires long held in check come racing to the surface in the face of so much remembered loss. The results are not only physically explosive, but Luke and Charlie are emotionally unprepared for the inevitable.

Ms. Richards does a beautiful job in expressing the angst, frustration, and desire between Luke and Charlie. The plot is uncomplicated and easy to follow with the focus of the story on the main characters. They both have personal baggage and have each sought out the solitude of the Alaska wilderness as a means of escape. Wanting to be as undisturbed as his surroundings, Luke doesn’t want someone invading his space. His icy temperament immediately leaves Charlie with the impression that something deep affected him in such a way as to remove himself from the rest of the world. This presents her with a challenge she can’t ignore, so she starts chipping away at the icy layers of his reserve looking for a more human connection.

Charlie’s appealing personality and bold attitude make her the perfect combatant to Luke’s self-inflicted lonely existence. It’s the fear of losing control over his emotions and giving in to his desire for Charlie that has Luke back-peddling from her. There is no escape and soon the ice will crack, but what happens when it does?

This is a must read for all lovers of romance and it contains elements relatable to anyone who has loved and lost only to unexpectedly find love again. The passionate moments between the characters are breathtakingly described and the emotions conveyed are vivid. If you haven't had the pleasure of reading a Tory Richards story, this is the perfect introduction to her work and a highly recommended read.

Someone To Love Me by Tory Richards
This short love story starts out with Charlie and she's crashed her plane in the trees in Alaska.
She spent one night in the plane piled with clothes and the next day adventures out to find help.
Luke heard the crash and goes to find the pilot as he can follow the trial from their footprints in the snow.
He lives in the trees in Alaska and trying to rid himself of memories of his wife, who died when she was young but this woman is appealing to him.
She had been up against a white wolf or the river when he showed up to rescue her. He gave her all warm dry clothes and they went back to his cabin miles from where they were.
He finds her physically arousing her. He has a generator but only keeps it for emergencies. He keeps her warm on the couch in front of the fire while he heads upstairs to his bed.
Steamy sex scenes as they become more than friends. He's fearful she will leave when search plane finds her...He wants to go back to his isolation but doesn't ....
Like story line as we find out more about their past lives.
Emergencies and being found occur and this story has an unexpected ending.

Sweet, low angst romance. The characters were likable and sympathetic, I enjoyed my time spent with them. Would have liked more details about the characters' background, esp the hero. Age, former occupation, how he makes a living now ... things like that weren't mentioned. Also the ending was a bit abrupt. No clarification on the future and how they were going to make it work. I guess the author wanted us to write our own ending beyond what was given, but I would've preferred a more complete, wrapped up ending. All this left a bit to be desired in the story, but overall I liked it. I'll read more from this author.

There are some questions.

Loved the characters, writing and the story line, but there were some missing parts. This is a one room cabin, off the grid, but I wondered about the generator. It had to be huge to run a hot water heater, fridge, freezer and an oven. Wheredid she wash and dry her clothes ?. What about birth control.?. Guess I may be too picky. I still will like to read other Mountain Men books.

Fabulous

Truly a great book. Her description of the cabin in the snow actually made you called while you were reading it until he started the fire. It leaves you hanging right to the end. Awesome story

Pretty good story. However, I did realise that in both this and the previous story by Tory Richards, no condom was ever used, nor was there a discussion about previous partners and contraception. A little irresponsible?

Intense

Luke found Charlie after her plane crashed. He wasn’t all that thrilled to have company now. And Charlie certainly didn’t want to be stuck in cabin with him.

I enjoyed this read. It was a quick read. I really enjoyed the chemistry between Luke and Charlie. They were hot together. They did annoy me a little at times just with their mindset and I felt like things did get repeated a lot but I'm glad they were able to work through their issues and find their happily ever after together

Interesting background, but once the grappling started, it was erotica-by-numbers. Did not finish.

2.5 stars. Not very exciting and the ending was too sappy and movie cliche for me.
