To Be Remembered

Rate this book
Following R. Clift's summer evolved poetry & photography collection, to feel anything at all, her second book in the series continues the narrative as the gentle promise of healing after loss. This hardback edition is meant to sit quietly on a coffee table- the words, a companion for grief accompanied by an escape offered in stunning photographs.

Like life and death, grief and joy, stillness and wander- everything must have balance. This is the beauty in aching. Autumn release. A collection of words and photographs woven together in hopes to remind you that no one is ever really gone. That there will always be a reason to keep going. Allow this autumn journey across pages to speak to your heart, hold your hand when you feel lost, let your mind wander to new corners of the world, and once again-challenge loneliness to be a work of art.

No matter how many times a heart may break, it will always keep beating.

Like the leaves in Autumn, this book is a gentle falling.
'To Be Remembered' is a delicate and heartbreakingly raw exploration of grief, heartbreak, loneliness, slowly finding hope, and both the gift and curse of memory.

R. Cliff's poetry and paired evolved photography makes the reader feel both small and all-encompassing. It gives you a heart in your hands and leaves you to turn every page, inspecting that wild heart forever further (perhaps to admire its beauty, perhaps because it acts as a mirror to the reader's own, perhaps both.)

There is just something special about R. Clift's work that makes you look at the world differently - through longing, through knowing, from between the stars or between the trees. It makes you want to hold on tighter and to find your personal definition of 'living'.

The poems especially written as memorials for her late grandmother and grandfather hold grief (such a destructive thing) like clouds and like glass - weightless, however at the same time, so heartwrenchingly heavy. R.
Clift is an honest poet who's words are nothing but the music of heartstrings - singing no matter the broken, no matter a sad or happy song. She is brilliant and breathtaking.
