Dane’s a bounty hunter; Joy’s a social media influencer. Dane hates crowds; Joy loves people. Dane’s job is to bring people to justice; Joy loves a good prank. These two neighbors have nothing in common but a shared street. Yet, Dane can’t keep knocking on Joy’s door and Joy can’t stop taking photos of her hot neighbor. It shouldn’t work, but it does.
Their happy story is interrupted when an angry biker wants to take revenge on Dane by targeting Joy. Dane refuses to allow anyone write an ending for them that isn’t happy.
Merry Christmas to all my Goodreads friends!! I hope you all had a happy, healthy and safe holiday!
This book was just an ok read for me. I had a hard time getting into it but I think that is because of the holidays... I am going to try a different change of pace next and see if that helps. I believe I am in a bit of a reading rut right now. I hope I get my groove back soon!!
'¿Sería realmente tan malo si me besaras? ¿No se supone que debes mantener a tus enemigos más cerca?'
Coffed for love de Ella Goode
Dane is a grumpy new neighbor and a bounty hunter, his first meeting with Joy well first impression was alittle rude since he was already falling for Joy, so what does Joy do she gets advice from her followers on social media to prank him. And I laughed at the prank and how Dane already caught them in the act and Joy and her BFF cece make up a tiny lie to cover up the failed prank 🤣🤣🤣
After the prank and learning what his future wife does for a living Dane makes sure to follow her on SM and when he finds out she has a date because of her followers he plans to butt in and make it a double with her roommate who is laughing at the show ahead, and that date ends badly and moving Dane closer to his woman.
Dane does some pranks to.. but let's say he didnt Google his girls fears and that prank sorta back fired and helped him keep Joy in his house. Few more drama with a Skipper and a Biker that might cause drama. But beside that their relationship was go fun and cute.
No ow slight om drama (she has a date) no cheating, drama, Slight secondary charas, sexy times, virgin gal and no manwhore

Ella Goode always delivers a j/p alpha hero, a sassy heroine, and a short but steamy plot that keeps you interested while leaving your kindle on the verge of bursting into flames. Dane was so cute in his cluelessness when it come to social media, but he knew he wanted Joy as soon as he met her. Loved it ♡
4 Bounty Me, Please Stars * * * * Spoiler Free With everything going on around our lives at this time, being able to check out and read a sweet sexy story is just what my overactive mind needed. Elle Goode knows exactly how to present a tale that will touch all your sexy, sweet bases.
This was a cute sweet read and went really fast. It had a bounty/skip tracer meeting and falling for a woman who was an "influencer". They were neighbors and when our guy first meets this sweet young thing...he is a goner.
I absolutely adored this book. The chemistry between Dane and Joy was off the charts from the moment they met, as he stumbled over his words by her beauty and ended up being a jerk. The day after they meet, Joy has a date and Dane isn’t having it. What other way to make sure it goes badly than to grab her roommate and make it a double. He made his intentions known that she was it for him and he would have her one way or another, even if he had to move her in without her realizing that she was moved in.
-safe read -no om/ow drama -no talk about H past -h virgin -epilogue many years later
An enjoyable romance between a social media influencer and a bounty hunter. They begin as neighbors, have delightful banter, some drama and soon fall in love and get their HEA.
I alternated between laughter and swoon worthy sighs. Dane gave it all. A dirty mouth that he knew how to back up with and an over the top protectiveness of our leading lady.
It’s over way to fast but this author ticks every box every time.
My goodness this story is awesome! I love the insta-love and the hot alpha male aspect! He just moves her into his home without her even knowing it. It isn’t until she’s on a live feed and her followers point it out to her that she even notices go much stuff he brought from her house to his house. LMAO!!!!
Cuffed For Love was a funny, steam and quick. I enjoyed it very much, but that dramatic twist was so out-of-place there .
I sometimes wonder why these short smuts need to have endangered females in them. Wouldn’t it be more fun if they just broke their beds or twist their ankles falling down in their showers?
Good story and I liked Dane's OTT behavior towards Joy, his sweets! Joy is an instafluencer and Dane, a skip tracer, turns out they are neighbors and fall in love. HEA 3.5 stars
HERO - Dane Hardy. Bounty hunter. Former military. 6’4 and muscular.
HEROINE - Joy. Social media influencer. Gorgeous, with honey-gold skin with long dark hair. Carries a little extra weight.
OVERALL THOUGHTS - It was a quick and easy read, but I found it lacking in many places. For one, I couldn’t connect to any of the characters because they lacked depth. Outside of being a bounty hunter, we really know nothing about Dane. Same with Joy - there’s nothing to her outside of being a social media influencer. Perhaps it wouldn’t have been that bad had the author gone more in-depth into their careers, but I felt like they were kind of vaguely described, too.
I want to start out with something positive, though. Dane is one of Ella’s quirky heroes, though watered down quite a bit. He’s somewhere between Finn from Against the Rules, which is Ella’s quirky hero on steroids, and Gabe from Protecting Her, who was Ella’s attempt at a hybrid quirky/broody hero that unfortunately came across as having mood swings. I’d also place him closer to Gabe than Abel from Built For Love, who’s closer to Finn. LOL If that makes any sense! She did better at making him a hybrid without him seemingly having mood swings.
Anyway, one of my chief complaints of the author’s books featuring quirky heroes is that she kept pairing them with absolute stick-in-the-mud heroines. Here, Dane is paired with a heroine who’s absolutely willing to go along with his non-traditional advances. It was really refreshing and I hope she continues to try out this combination in the future. I just needed more depth out of both of them.
I was excited to see that Joy had made a career out of social media because it’s a field that’s become really popular in recent years and yet not many authors have caught on to writing about it. I wish the author had been more specific with details, like which type of platform Joy considered her main bread and butter, the trials of working from home and building the discipline of keeping an upload schedule, back-end analytics...there are hints of it, but ultimately Joy came off as a stereotypical influencer you’d see in a bad movie.
All of the non-romantic relationships felt surface level. There’s Dane’s brother Mick and his wife Bells (Side note: I’d never heard that name in my life and now suddenly I’ve read two books in a row featuring it - this one and the news series by MINK). They all banter back and forth, but there’s no real history revealed there. Don’t get me wrong, the banter was fun to read! But I don’t even think we’re told the age difference between them. Same with Joy and her best friend CeCe - we got no real deep history there either. I guess what I wanted from all the relationships was more details about their shared histories in order to feel the bonds between them, if that makes sense.
The disconnect from all of the characters was made worse by the fact that no one other than Joy gets decently described and even with her it’s not a complete description. I had no idea how to picture anyone which is especially unfortunate in the case of the hero. Joy kept saying how handsome he was, but never bothered to clue the readers into exactly which features she enjoyed.
The conflict was unrealistic, kind of random, and not really needed. I think a much better conflict would have been Dane’s discomfort with Joy’s popularity (fans, yes, but still strangers) and with her live streaming around him. To me, that would have been much more relevant because it would have highlighted their differences and would have been interesting to see how they would come to a compromise. Instead we get a motorcycle gang member bent on revenge against Dane by way of Joy, but even that ultimately fizzles out.
Even in the final chapter, Dane mentions that he’s uncomfortable with Joy live streaming which is even more proof to me that it should have been addressed more throughout the story and resolved by the end. To be honest, I was actually a bit uncomfortable about her live streaming what she did as well . Again, it seemed like something out of a bad social media film.
The story was fast-paced, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but here it jumped from scene to scene like the story was on fire. I wanted to linger in each a bit longer than the author did because I couldn’t appreciate what was happening before suddenly we were already moving on. I wanted to settle into getting to know the characters. One character I was real confused about was CeCe. Early on, Joy says to her, “You don’t even like men. Why would I have to call dibs?” It was never expanded on so I took it to mean CeCe was a lesbian. I went through the entire double-date scene wondering why Joy was so jealous if CeCe wasn’t even into men. Imagine my surprise when Dane catches her coming home from a bad date later in the story, and Dane refers to that date as a “he” and she doesn’t correct him. So she’s not a lesbian! Why would the author not clarify that earlier statement made by Joy? It’s just another example of how fuzzy the characters felt.
The epilogue is an HEA but, again, vague (the author is nothing if not consistent in this regard) and I wanted way more than what we got. It’s not even mentioned if .
Fun, fast-paced, and adorably smutty. I loved this short story so much! It's hilarious, the dialogues and scenes are quirky and incredibly funny. Dane is a kind of bounty hunter and Joy is an influencer.
Neighbours who exchange awkward pranks, bomb dates, kiss like there is no tomorrow, and find love forever. The story is so entertaining. I loved how clueless Dane is to social things, but shows a hilarious version of overprotective boyfriend talent.
Joy's friend CeCe is the perfect accomplice and Dane's brother and his wife also enhance the comedy to epic proportions. Perfect!
I thought that this was a great rom-com. I loved Joy and Dane were very cute together. I laughed throughout this book but it also offered some suspense, steam, and love. Dane is the complete possessive alpha package and Joy is really sweet and loves to tease Dane. I really loved this book. I can't wait to see what Ms. Ella has in store for us next. I would recommend this book and all of Ms. Ella's other books!
I received a free e-book copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Cute story. I liked their pranks. Yes she goes out on a date the very day after meeting the hero but he went with her and it was more like they were on a date together so that didn’t bother but I know some of my safety gang friends don’t like that.
Dual POV Virgin heroine no info on hero Safe No ow/om drama I forgot how far out the epilogue was
Ella Goode’s OTT protective, caveman heroes. Their introduction was by way of a window, seeing her, he marches over to her house taking her cookies.
Dane is socially awkward but on intent on getting acquainted with his new neighbour, Joy. He’s struck by lust and frantically begins to look for cookies his sister-in-law sent. Laughing, his brother shoves the cookies at him. “Go and don’t embarrass the family name.” Bantering back, “how can I when you’ve already rubbed it into the ground by merely existing?” At Joy’s doorway, he bends down to leave the cookies in the doorframe when it opens, closing his eyes as the first glimpse his hot neighbour gets, is of his posterior. Gathering his composure “here.” he shoves the cookies toward her. “I’m your neighbor, Dane. Nice to meet you. Don’t be noisy. I like peace and quiet,” he says and walks away.
In retribution for his rudeness - it’s game set and match for ‘operation take down the neighbour’...let the pranks begin.
As a social influencer Joy relies on her followers advice on her new hottie neighbour and dealing with his rudeness. After much debate, her followers suggest Saran Wrapping his vehicle. They head to the store to buy a ton of Saran Wrap, deciding to disguise themselves to go undetected. “Is this really going to work?” Cece whispers. “Why are you whispering? We're not even outside yet.” “I’m getting into character.” Laughing, of course he has a ginormous truck. By the looks, this might take them some time. Beginning to painstakingly wrap his truck, they underestimated the quantity needed for their project. “What the f@#$?” a deep voice barks. “Why are you up so late? You should be sleeping.” ”It was like this. There were a bunch of kids.” “Yeah. It’s a new thing the kids are doing. You likely haven't heard about it because you’re new here. I came out here and scared them away for you. You are very welcome.” He drops his head back to look up at the sky. It’s as if he’s searching for something. Maybe it’s his patience. “You’ve gotta be kidding me.” Then he starts pulling at the Saran Wrap, getting it off within seconds. “That took us an hour.” Cece puts her hand over my mouth. I’d make a terrible criminal. “She means she’s guessing that took someone an hour.” I nod in agreement. “Go home, go home or I’ll pick you up and take you there myself.” That’s all it takes, for Cece and herself to scamper, locking the door behind them.
Walking to the front door, they’re both startled when someone bangs on the front door to reveal Mr. Hottie. “Do you just open the door for anyone without looking to see who it is?” “I’ve got two dads. I don’t need a third.” Cece pats him on the chest like he's a little kid before she strolls right back to her bedroom. “Did you need something? Maybe some Saran Wrap? I think I’m out.” “You look nice,” he tells me. “I have a date,” I admit with a long sigh. “You don’t have to go.” He walks into my place without being invited. He lets the door fall closed behind him. I guess he’s staying for a minute.
He tells her she should cancel her date. “I can’t.” You can.” “Why are you bossing me around in my own house?” I throw my hands up. “What’s your roommate's name again?” he asks. “Cece,” “Double C,” he calls out. “You gave her a nickname,” I mutter under my breath. Why don’t I get a nickname? “What do you want?” she asks Dane before she glances my way. “Why are you pouting?” “We can’t let her go meet a stranger on her own.” “That’s kind of what dating is.” “Fine. We’ll double.” Cece scrunches her face like she is thinking about it. “You’re paying.” “Deal,” Dane agrees in less than a second. “I’m going like this.” “Don’t give a sh*t what you wear,” he informs her before his gaze slides back to me. “You should put pants on, though; you might get cold.” “Oh this is going to be wonderful. I’m not only getting dinner but a free show too”.
They all pile into Dane’s truck. All night Pete kept trying to rub against me. I watch as Dane hops in the truck and almost leaves without Pete, who chases after the truck. It’s so hard not to laugh. I reach up and smack the side of Dane’s shoulder. Pete puffs his chest out like he’s won some battle. He starts to open the door, but Dane drives forward a few more feet. This happens three more times before Cece and I are dying of laughter in the back seat. I know it’s not right, but Pete had kind of been a prick during dinner, and I can’t say he doesn’t deserve it a tiny little bit. Pete slams the door as he finally gets into the truck. “I knew I shouldn't have agreed to a date with you, but I figured since you were on the chubbier side that you’d give good head.” I gasp at the same time Dane slams on the brakes. Of course dumbass Pete isn’t wearing his seat belt and his head hits the dashboard. I’m betting Dane knew that. Oops. I bet that’s gonna hurt for a few days. Dane slides out of the truck, not caring that he’s blocking some traffic. He opens the passenger door and pulls Pete out by his collared shirt before tossing him onto the sidewalk. Cece and I watch as Dane walks back to the truck, gets in, and takes off like nothing happened.
Are you seriously wearing that out in public?” I rip my bomber off and throw it around Joy’s bare shoulders. Joy’s out in public with nothing more than a couple layers of tissue paper over her t*ts and a*s. “It’s a beach, Dane.” She shoves the jacket to the ground. I pick it up and put it back on her. “There are plenty of people who wear clothes to the beach.” “Not if you want a tan.” Down the jacket goes. “Tanning is bad for you. Causes cancer.” I place it over her front. “No one likes pasty skin.” The jacket falls to the sand. “I do. Pasty skin is my favorite.” I throw it over her. She bats it away. “Are you saying my skin is pasty?” “I think you have lovely skin,” chirps Cece. “How’d you find us, anyway?” Joy and I engage in a mini wrestling match where I try not to use my superior strength to wrap her up and bind her with my arms. These two women are a menace. They cannot be left alone. A frisbee lands near Joy’s feet. I get up and kick it away. A young guy, barely old enough to grow facial hair, saunters over. “Hey, man, did you just punt my disc? That is not cool. Ladies.” He nods toward Joy and Cece. I step between him and the girls and clear my throat. “Your frisbee is melting. You best go and get it before it’s a lump of plastic.” The punk leans to the left for a better view. “Y’all look thirsty. We’ve got a mini-keg and some weed over here. Medicinal, of course.” He winks. “For your erection problem? I heard that doesn’t work,” I tell him. Behind me, the girls muffle a giggle. “No man. It’s just—look, I know these two. I follow you on Insta, Joy. You, too, Cece. I’m with the HAGs. I’m sure you’ve seen my content on Instagram. I was on the featured page a few months ago for my FOTD. I had the Air Force 1 kicks that I’d copped off the hype drop last season and the RTW Fendi logo large collar button down with the lizard leather hammered gold Gucci belt. I like brand mixing.” I eye him suspiciously. Is he even talking English anymore? “That’s great, but it’s time for you to move along. You’re blocking the girls’ sun.” “I thought sun gave you cancer,” chirps Cece unhelpfully. “I said tanning gave you cancer.” “I can put some sunscreen on you,” the acronym-spitting dude offers. “No. You can’t,” I say between gritted teeth.
Joy thankfully wearing my bomber which stops at mid-thigh. Next time I should wear a trench coat just in case Joy decides to run around town naked again. “So soon?” dudebro says, his attention re-engaged. “I’m telling you our party is lit as f@#$. We can take some snaps, choose some filters, and upload some sick photos.” “I really can’t. I don’t think I’m into conjugal visits,” sighs Joy, who bends over to pick up her bag. I grab it from her and tuck it under my arm. “Conjugate what?” Dude asks. How has this guy not moved on yet? “She means that her boyfriend is going to shoot you if you don’t move along,” Cece interprets for the first time. Dude’s eyes fall to the strap of my shoulder holster and then widen when he realizes what it is. “Y-yeah s-so I’ll see you later. On the internet.” I growl. “Or not. I’ll unfollow you actually. I never liked your content anyway.” “What’d you just say?” This shithead didn’t just insult my woman’s content? I step toward him. “I’m just going to leave now.” The man turns and flees.

I liked the book. The H was a bounty hunter which is not seen very often. I liked it. The h was a social media influencer which was mehhhhh, for me. But overall the book was good. Short and interesting. The steam was detailed but nothing extraordinary 3/5.
Plot: Dane and Joy are neighbors and complete opposites. That doesn't stop them from falling in love, but it does make things interesting. After all, Dane's a bounty hunter who sometimes needs to stay in the shadows and Joy's an influencer whose life is all about being seen. But those lives are going to collide in a way that will make danger a third party in their new relationship.
Commentary: I always love Ella Goode's book, and I love the idea of a no-nonsense bounty hunter. However, I would hate being involved with someone whose "job" was IG influencer. I couldn't stand the thought of knowing that my life could be in the spotlight like that! However, they made it work, I guess. I have to say though that it was a little ridiculous that Joy thought she should go along with Dane to an actual grab. But she was pretty fierce if a little ditzy :)
I loved Dane and Joy. He's so awkward around her. I love the fact he is in his 30' s and doesn't let social media rule his life. On the other hand Joy is a social media influencer. So it really is fun to watch them interact with each other. Loved the couple.
SAFETY remarks - SAFE - h virgin / H might be virgin - cheating/sharing: no - ow/om: she goes out with another influencer just because her fans suggested it - separation/breakups: no - possible triggers: no - HEA: yes
This one was so funny. He falls for her from the moment he saw her. He brought her cookies, the ones his sister-in-law sent him, but ended being rude with her. Like he said, he is not good with people and never has been. That made her prank him wrapping his truck with saran paper.
OMG. The double date so he could make sure the guy didn’t get his girl. They just met!! And he was already inserting himself in her life. Love it. That dinner was funny. And when she went with Cece to the beach, the fight with the jacket. He is really OTT!!
The last time both dated was in high school. He said he doesn’t know about dating because he’s been hustling. So, the high school date must have been very cast. I’m gonna stick to that!! She had a boyfriend in high school but that was it. So, I’m gonna label this a dual virgins.
He is so not used to relationships that he didn’t know that giving her roommate a nickname and not her was a no no.
And Cece was also hilarious. She helped them be together. I hope I can read her story.
I would read this again. I liked it. I’ll also buy it.
Fast paced short insta-love between Dane a bounty hunter and Joy a social influencer. The first time Dane sees Joy he is struck by how beautiful and curvy she is. Although he doesn’t make a good first impression. To get back at him fir being gruff and bossy Joy and her bbf/roommate CeCe decide to get him back by Saran wrapping his truck. But Dane catches them and the two play it off as them chasing away the kids that were playing the prank. Dane’s sister in law and brother convince him to prank her back. He agrees after crashing Joy’s date with another social influencer who pisses her off by says pranks are childish. He has spiders fall all over Joy when she opens her front door which has her screaming and crying since she’s very afraid of spiders. Pranks stop when a biker crew starts harassing and possibly targeting Joy after she assists on a fugitive take down. All ends well when Dane warns the biker off and he and joy profess their love. Epilogue with a daughter, a puppy, and a second baby on the way. The twin, Natalie’s story is Roping Ms. Impossible.

I thought this story was cute. It’s short and sexy like all Ella Goode books and our Hero is a hottie!
I wasn’t a huge fan of the instagrammer aspect to be perfectly honest. I don’t know why a bounty hunter who clearly needs to keep a low profile would be okay with his image out there for all of her hundreds of thousands of followers to see. And seriously, would you be okay giving birth live-streamed to 40,000 people? Particularly on someone else’s account? Yeah, I wouldn’t either. I know Ella is always over the top, but I feel like this match up is taking it a bit too far.
That aside - it’s well written in Ella fashion. It’s funny and sweet and steams up the Kindle exactly as it should!
As always, I love Ella Goode's newest book, Cuffed for Love! Dane is kinda oblivious to women. He works and hangs out with his brother and sister in law. He hasn't really thought about the future until he meets his new neighbor, opens mouth and inserts a foot into it. He doesn't know how to talk to people and makes a right mess of things. Joy can't believe her luck, a hot neighbor and he is a jerk. So, her and her roommate decide to play a prank on him. What follows was adorably sweet and hilariously entertaining. I cannot live without this talented lady's books and this story is a perfect example of why. 6 stars for Joy and Dane!
First things first; I really like the cover of this book! This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. When Dane moves into a new house, he doesn’t expect to want his neighbour. Joy is a well known social media influencer. She is attracted to Dane but will she get her man? The chemistry between Dane and Joy is clear to see and I liked them together. I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read.
Dane is a 6.4" bounty hunter. He is quiet and keeps to himself. Joy is a Instagram influencer. She is loud, fun and loves talking to people. This two are polar opposites, they shouldn't work but they so do! This is a fast paced insta-love story packed with humor, naughty language and red hot steamy romance. However, call me picky but I would have liked the fact that she lost her virginity acknowledged a bit more that what it was. I don't even know is Dane knew he pop her cherry! Hence minus a star.

I went into this story blind, didn't know characters or the premise. I felt the first couple of chapters, I was a little thrown off but the characters were still funny. Dane is like a straight laced good guy and Joy is young and loving life. Dane sees her from afar and that's all it took. Joy has not had the best of luck with guys and is a little hesitant. Overall, a good read that is very enjoyable.
