I’ll just say, iconic teen star meets grunt boy who won’t show any attraction AT ALL and she follows him like a puppy and then suddenly he can’t stop himself anymore but what should have happened is that he wasn’t interested.

Actuar en el escenario frente a decenas de miles de fanáticos es adrenalina, sin duda. Pero una mirada de Diego envía una emoción aún más caliente a través de mis venas. Es enorme, un hombre de pocas palabras y ojos hambrientos.

No importa cuánto trate de que se abra a mí, no lo hará. Entonces, tendré que cambiar mis tácticas.

Este campamento en la montaña está lleno de hombres misteriosos, y Diego es por quien estoy desesperada en resolver.

Es terriblemente protector, pero no se acercará. Llevarlo al límite se ha convertido en mi principal objetivo. Lo tiento con unos

Segundo librito de la serie Blushing brides de MINK y debo decir que me gustó bastante. Había un romance insta tipo La bella y la bestia con asesinos a sueldo con una amenaza inminente sucediendo que me dejó engancha.

Definitivamente hubo más acción en este librito y una pareja destacable.

Aurora y Diego son polos opuestos, él es callado con cicatrices y un pasado oscuro, ella tiene la voz de un ángel, es extrovertida y dulce.

Me encantó que Aurora no se diera por vencida con Diego y lo aceptara por quién era y, que Diego no tardara en ceder, las interacciones de estos dos fueron divertidas y picantes.

Mí gran queja es que de nuevo no hay epílogo! Por favor, necesitan epílogos estos libros! Queria ver más a futuro de Aurora y Diego!

En definitiva, esta fue una lectura fácil y corta, muy entretenida, con personajes buenos, sin dramas pero con mucha pasión y acción añadida.

Ya estoy esperando leer la próxima aventura romántica del siguiente ex mercenario!

We are on book 2 and couple 2 we saw bits and pieces of these two in the last mink book. This one is fast pace and some steam.

Aurora is a pop princess and shes been teasing and flirting with Diego since they were brought in but Diego is giving her the cold shoulder but still protecting her. She still isn't giving up. There trying to find a away to get rid of all these hitmen coming for his girl. But Diego thinks hes still a bad guy he doesn't deserve someone like Aurora.

But she proves him she can handle his darkness, we also see some secondary charas and their upcoming romance.  i did give it a low rating because Aurora was doing allllll the chasing.. and I hate when girls do it.. lolAnd we leave with a HFN..

Book 2 continues with our lovely group of ladies basically paired off with their chosen badasses, here our lovely songbird chooses the scarred former mercenary Diego as her beau. He takes some convincing as he doesn't think he's right for his beautiful superstar but she eventually wears him down. It helps that he's such a badass because her stalker comes to town and she basically walks into a trap but the H and his buddy take on all comers and cut through the team of professional killers hired to find the h. Lots of bodies later he rides off to his mountain lodge with the h

Our artist whose life is threatened files her soulmate in a brooding scarred hero in this one. They fall in love in the first few chapters, the rest of the story is them and his mercenary friends dealing with her stalker.

Don't mind me here. I'm just flying through this mini series to catch up on my Goodreads goal for 2020. If it wasn't for the goal, I'd DNF it after the book no 1. I kinda miss the epilogues and am not impressed with the plot either... But the goal needs to be achieved.

The main characters were fine, but their chemistry didn't spark. The plot was slow in the beginning and middle, but more stuff happened in the end. I'll probably end up reading the next book.

HERO - Diego Langston. Former mercenary for the Red Scorpions. Giant-sized with light blue eyes. Three angry scars down one side of his face.

HEROINE - Aurora Davenport. Blonde wavy hair, big innocent eyes, and an angelic voice. Height-wise, comes to Diego’s chest.

OVERALL THOUGHTS - I really enjoyed the first book, but this one was a mess. I mean, it’s still a good read, but there were so many inconsistencies and things that didn’t make sense that my head wanted to explode. And honestly, Diego’s not that great of a hero. Sure, he’s protective of Aurora and determined to keep her safe. But he’s also self-conscious, has low self-esteem, doesn’t communicate well, and makes assumptions about Aurora’s intentions. He came across, at least at first, as a Debbie Downer that could suck the good mood out of any situation. And Aurora has to do all the pursuing for the first 30%. Long review under the spoiler tag!

In the first book when Diego is introduced, we were told he was formerly in the mafia and had faked his own death. In this book he’s a former mercenary with the Red Scorpions. So, number one, I guess that wasn’t a typo in the first book. MINK really did mean Red Scorpions and not Red Dragoons. And number two...what happened with Diego’s background?? Barrow was also introduced in the first book as being from the Red Scorpions. Did they switch backgrounds? Were they both in that organization? The closest Diego came to his original backstory was that everyone who knew him before the Red Scorpions thinks he’s dead, but he doesn’t say why.

In this book Aurora says that Clover thinks of herself as chubby, but in Clover’s book she said she was blessed with good genes and could eat whatever she wanted and not gain weight. Later, Aurora compares Bells’ body to that of a pinup model, which is the same comparison she made for Clover earlier which makes me wonder...was that another author mix-up? Did she confuse Clover and Bells, and Bells is the one who thinks she’s chubby?

Something else weird - Daphne, the reporter who showed up near the end of the first book right before the assassin showed up, is MIA for the first half of this book. Aurora interacts with or sees every character but her which is strange because in the last book, Tiernan wouldn’t let her out of his sight. Now, Aurora sees Tiernan in multiple places around the lodge without her. Where was she? Why was she not even mentioned until ten chapters in? Then she’s like a ghost once she does show up. She says something and Tiernan walks out the room. She says something else and Diego ignores her. Then she’s mysteriously gone from the room because when Charles walks in, he just starts talking assassin business out in the open. THEN in the next chapter, Aurora has the nerve to say, “It doesn’t take long for Daphne to literally come knocking at my door.” WHAT?

Also, why was the first thing after the assassin was killed not to have a house pow-wow to discuss what’s going on, at the very least between the men-folk? Instead, it’s hours before Diego even asks Aurora about the man who sent the assassin. Workouts were worked out and cake was baked before that even became a blip of concern for even one character in this book.

Yet another inconsistency happens when Aurora and Daphne dumbly decide to involve themselves in assassin business. They steal a Jeep and drive off the property...but how did they get out? If you’ll recall from the first book, there’s a 10-digit code that has to be input before the gate will open. The author emphasized that because of Clover’s photographic memory. The only people who know that code are her and the men. Here, though, Aurora and Daphne drive out as if there’s no gate at all.

I’m also unsure of the passage of time in this book. Was there a nightfall I missed? Because Aurora says she and Diego played the question game “one night” and I have no idea when that would have been because he barely spoke to her in the beginning and as far as I know, there’s only been one nightfall and it was in Clover’s book. Aurora dozes at one point, but it’s written as more of a nap than anything. She’s about to make dinner near the end of the book. Unless I missed it, I think this book took place over the course of a day.

We learn a little more about the Red Scorpions. They’re a clandestine mercenary group that provides private security for bad men. We also finally learn a little about Tiernan, who was the only man missing any background information in the first book. He was apparently one of the bad men that used the services of the Red Scorpions. What he was involved in, we still don’t know (maybe he’ll get the mafia background that was supposed to be Diego’s). Daphne muses that he looks familiar, but can’t place him.

Barrow was once again mostly absent from the story, but Aurora now describes him as funny and handsome enough to be a model (objectively observed, of course). When she would have learned whether he was funny or not, I don’t know, since he doesn’t seem to leave Bells’ side unless the other girls are around. I’m pretty sure he didn’t have any dialogue in this book. The author also accidently uses Barrow’s name in place of Diego’s a couple of times. Tiernan has been called the “funny one” of the group of men several times, not Barrow, so…insert shrug here. We just haven’t seen enough of him to get a feel for his personality.

The ending was another HFN but was slightly better than the last books. Also I expected the “thriller” aspect to run through all four books, but it was resolved at the end of this one so now I’m unsure of what to expect from the final two books.

*Aurora’s age isn’t stated, but she does mention she’s been in the fame game for five years. We don’t learn how old she was when discovered, though, so early to mid 20’s is my best guess.

Push/Pull: Yes, slightly Diego keeps Aurora at arm’s length, but also keeps a close watch over her. He’s attracted to her, but doesn’t feel he deserves her. He’s also very aware that she’s only there for a couple of days before she goes back to her life in the spotlight. This lasts for the first 30%.

OW (Other Woman)/OM (Other Man) drama: No, but the main bad guy is another celebrity who’s been stalking Aurora. They were never romantically involved, though, and he’s been making her life miserable. He’s killed by Diego in the end in front of Aurora, who encouraged him and insisted on watching.

HEA/HFN: HFN Like the last book, there’s no epilogue. They exchanged “I love you’s” a bit over halfway through the book. In the final chapter, he proposes. She decides to quit the celebrity life and stay with him, intending to only release music independently when she wants to. In terms of Clover’s relationship, she tells Aurora early on that she’s quitting to stay with Charles. We still don’t witness them exchange “I love you’s” or get engaged or anything. Also, still no knocking up. LOL It’s still early, though.

MINK again proves that yes, it's the quiet ones to look out for.

Our leading man Diego is not big on talking. His past has made him what he is. A killing machine. Scarred and now living in Frozen Falls with his brothers, that's all behind him. He's made peace with his past to some extent. When Aurora barrels into his world he's not prepared for her but he knows he can't let her go.

Aurora, pop star princess and a multi selling artist, she's our leading heroine. She's genuine, she's innocent and she sees Diego the man, not the scarred warrior. He's the gruff silent type, Alpha with a capitol A. She knows there's something there and she intends to find it.

It's a non-stop ride, there's hitmen that need to be dealt with and when your isolated on a mountain in a snow storm with four former mercenaries you know it's going to deadly. It's going to get hot, and its going to be definitely happily ever.

Its a YES from me.

Diego seems to be the most mysterious out of the guys. Aurora immediately wants him. Diego is very unsure of himself when it comes to Aurora, she is patient with him and doesn’t give up. Diego is very possessive and protective of Aurora. Aurora has anointed man who wants her at all costs. Great second story, can’t wait for the next!

I am so glad I’m love with this series. Omg, the first one amazed me and the second one amazed me more. Aurora was a beautiful princess, Diego always keeping an eye on her. Beauty and the Beast. The beast loved her so much and would always have his heart and soul to her.

Smelling her cherry scent and looking at her big, innocent eyes and listening to her angelic voice is breaking my mind.
It’s torture. She knows it.

Diego was a brutal hitman, he got scars all of his bodies, he killed people for living. Aurora was like an innocent songbird flied to his cage. He wanted to hide her, cherished her, worshiped her. But he was self-loathing, and didn’t think he deserve Aurora.

“You smell so good. Is that your soap? It must be. I want to shower when we get back to our room. Rub that tasty smell all over me.”

“—and then we can just lie in bed and talk. Like last night?”

Last night, I didn’t sleep. Last night, all I could do was lie along the edge of my bed and listen to her talk herself to sleep. She looked like an angel in my bed.

I had to say Aurora was so adorable, she was innocent and naive but not stupid. I love her from the last book already. She could be babble but so so adorable!!

I groan inwardly and hope that I can keep her safe from any threats, and also safe from me—a huge, ugly, foolish man who is already hopelessly smitten with the perfect pop princess he can never have.

Caveman got his beauty angel songbird. But he was afraid he didn’t deserve that beautiful angel. Aurora was so so cute hahahaha, she was so dm adorable when she spoiled by Diego.

“Why not?” She wraps her legs around me.
Holy fuck, she’s holding on to me like she’s a panda and I’m her favorite tree.

Maybe he lightly pushed her away, but the funny thing was he didn’t made it successfully each time, and even he pushed her away, the sparkles and chemistries became stronger than before.

She hums as she grabs another mixing bowl, then she starts singing in earnest as she drops two sticks of butter into the silver bowl.

I’ve never heard a voice like hers. It’s so clear. Like the notes are made of air, like the sound is just as natural as a bird. She does it effortlessly, but it affects me deeply. Soothing and strong, her voice almost makes me believe that my dream of her could come true.

It was so sweet of him always keeping an eyes on her and cared for her. Aurora knew it, Diego couldn’t never resist her.

“What have I done to deserve you, my little songbird?” I place one last kiss to his chest before I answer.

“You caught me.” I lick my lips. “Maybe I’ve been searching for an owner. Maybe I want you to keep me here as if this were a cage. Maybe I’ve finally found one I want to be kept in.”

A deep rumble comes from him. His arm comes around me, and he lifts me, easily putting me in the center of the bed.

Diego was a lonely man, he had never seen anything beautiful like Aurora, she was tiny, lovely, with beautiful doe-eyes, she was everything he wanted to keep.

Aurora never wanted to leave him. She loved him so much deeply in her soul. After Diego Gould her his past, she never had one second wanted to leave. She belonged to him from the first sight. She would give all herself in to him.

“You made my first time perfect,” I tell him.

“Mine too, little songbird.” I lift my head to look at him, surprised at his revelation. I smile. “I like this idea that we are each other's first.”

“And last,” he says. “I warned you.”
He did. I just sigh and close my eyes. I have this need to be owned by him and him alone. Being locked in his cage might be like a taste of heaven.

What can I say? Mink got my heart again and again. I love the twist between Diego and Aurora, they were made perfectly for each other.

She’s everything I’ve never deserved, but I can’t stop now. I can’t let her go. And I’ll kill anyone who tries to hurt her. I’ve killed before. It was simple then. It’s even simpler now. This beautiful, fragile, amazing woman needs me. I’ll always be there for her. I’ll always protect her.

I tell her with each thrust, with each mumbled bit of praise. “My beautiful songbird.

Their love was so beautiful, and I felt more drawn myself with their story throughout the reading.

“I promise, Aurora, I will come back to you.” I kiss her. “I love you.”

Her eyes water instantly, and she flings her arms around my neck. “I love you, too.”

She giggles through her happy tears. “You’re everything I never knew I wanted.”

“You’re a gift I will never deserve, but I promise I’ll do everything in my power to make you happy.”

“You already do,” she whispers and hugs me tight.

When the risks came, he killed everyone who would threaten his songbirds and saved her from the psychopathy.

“Thank you.” Her eyes water. “Thank you for saving me.”

I kiss her and taste her salty tears and sweet lips. “I will always save you, songbird.” I hold her in my arms, safe and protected. “Always.”

“I love you, Diego.” She smiles against my lips as I carry her out of the room, out of the house, and all the way back to the lodge. Home. Our home. Forever.

This one melt my heart and had HEA. I really really loved this one!!! Couldn’t wait to read the third leading couples’ story. Mink’s story was always sweet like sugar. ♥️♥️♥️

I will never let her go
I think this is my favorite Mink story so far. There's been many great ones but this one hit most of my marks. Dual POV, dual virgins, no OM/OW drama other than the OM stalking the h, possessive yet vulnerable and quiet H, no abuse. No epilogue but I'm sure we'll get to see more of this couple in the next books in the series. Can't wait for the next one.

I loved this book. I loved how this book picked up right where the last one ended and carried on. I loved Diego and Aurora together. Appearance wise, this book kind of reminds of Beauty and the Beauty. I loved how Diego kept trying to keep Aurora at arms length, all the while Aurora keeps following Diego and makes him face his feelings for her. I thought that this was a really sweet book and I loved how Aurora didn't judge Diego for his and loves him for who he is. I can't wait for the other books in this series to come out. I would recommend this book, this series (2 books now) and I would whole heartedly recommend all of Minks work!

The perfect cage

This was so sweet, like a beauty and the beast type of book. Those are my favorite. She is running from a life she no longer wants and a bad man that wants to own her. Second book in the series and the continuation of the story regarding Aurora and her stalker.

It was an okay read and had some suspense when Aurora's stalker came into town with a lot of mercenaries to take her. But Diego being her knight in shining armor saves the day and finally ends the terror of the obsessed stalker.

Quick and fast paced read, with insta-lust and insta-love elements but still had a nice story plot.

After Diego killed the hitman from the previous book, instead of being afraid Aurora felt safe with him. From the moment Aurora saw Diego, she wanted him but he was avoiding her as he didn't want to get close to her. Because when she would leave the place, it would be hard for him as she's a popstar and had a career. But then, Aurora persuaded him and he finally snapped. They got together. Said 'I Love You's. Then Kent happened. As expected, everything was taken care of.

I liked this book better than the first one. I loved Aurora's bubbly personality. Also, both Aura and Diego were virgin so they were each others firsts. Aw! I loved the epilogue.


Series Review -

Okay. So this book series is not what I expected at all and not in a good way. Let's start with the names. First the book names offered us 'brides' which led to think that there'll a wedding. Sorry to burst your bubbles, there's no wedding. Not. A. Single. One! There was a mention of wedding only on the last book. Then, in the first book, the name said 'Knocking up' which I thought may be the bride was knocked up before the wedding or something. That was total BS! Let me assure you, there's no knocking up there. We only get to know that she's pregnant in the epilogue. Ugh! I get that why the second book said 'Claiming' but I have no idea why the third book said 'Stealing'. There was only a little incident about a crazy fan of Aurora but nothing else about stealing. The fourth book 'Taming' I can accept that name. Now I think about it, the book name should've been 'Claiming Her-1', 'Claiming Her-2', 'Claiming Her-3' and 'Claiming Her-4'. It would fit better than their real names.🙄 Gah! Reading this series left me in a sour mood. I was so excited to read it.

Here you have big bad scary Diego and little ole songbird Aurora. Diego will do anything for Aurora, even kill for her. Of course Diego is used to killing. He's just not used to killing to keep the woman he's in love with safe.
Aurora and Diego are wonderful characters. The only negative thing I have to say about this little series is that no one has gotten married yet. Maybe that will happen in the very last book after we get everyone's story. I don't know, we'll have to see.

Good book.

I liked this book better than the 1st in the series. I want to read bells book, but idk how excited I am for Daphne's book. I dont like books about reporters. This book was good tho, I liked both the H & h. The steam has one detailed steamy scene and the rest were a less detailed 3.5/5. I imagine that's the format for this series given the book lengths.

Clover, Bells, and Aurora are heading to Frozen Falls in a much needed escape from the craziness of Aurora’s tour. This escape is sidetracked, though, when a lynx shows up in the middle of the snow covered road and causes the car to crash. As per the usual Mink story, the cat knows what is necessary to get the HEA.

Aurora has been fixated on Diego from the moment she spotted him in the lodge’s garage. While it is obvious he doesn’t want anyone else to claim her, he is being as elusive as an elite assassin. When more than just the lynx makes an appearance at the lodge Aurora becomes worried that she might be up against more than she originally thought and that it might cut her time with Diego short.

Diego is a great addition to Mink’s over the top alphas and Aurora is hilarious in her pursuit. I love books that continue the story without being a cliff hanger. It is the best of both worlds. I am looking forward to the next one, Stealing the Bride!

There Aurora meets Diego and she is smitten by him but he seems not to like her in his space, but soon she finds out that he is just trying to protect his heart. When the see two come together sparks fly. But happiness is almost broken when the stalker tries to come between them, Diego won't let Aurora go so he uses his skills to keep her safe and in his arms forever.
